Project Officer (Luton and Bedfordshire) 

Salary: £26,508 to £28,327 depending on experience

Location:  Luton and Bedfordshire area with some remote working available

Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week (part time hours can be considered 22.5 – 30 hours per week)

We are recruiting for a project officer role in Luton and Bedfordshire to join our Communities team. The successful candidate will help us deliver an exciting and wide range of community, education and youth projects across the county. 

The role will be delivering a variety of projects in group settings including gardening, outdoor play, river/wetlands, community engagement, climate awareness behaviour change projects and delivery of school and youth-based programmes.  These projects will support participants to improve their health, well-being, knowledge and skills. 

You will require strong communication and organising skills and will be leading practical tasks.  You will be working with different community groups particularly vulnerable adults and young people as well as co-ordinating with local partner organisations.

Room to Heal is an established therapeutic community in London. We support refugees and people seeking asylum, many of whom are torture survivors, through an integrated programme of therapeutic and casework assistance, in the context of a community of survivors. We have an exciting opportunity for a proven HR Generalist to partner our Commercial Enterprises and Fundraising Directorates. This role is part of the HR Business Partnering team and works with colleagues across the department to deliver HR services and our People and Culture Strategy.

As the first point of contact on people issues for senior management you will have excellent communication and relationship building skills, especially as advising, problem-solving and identifying effective and workable solutions will be an important part of the role.

You will be a member of CIPD, or graduate member working toward full membership, with significant experience in a busy HR generalist role. With proven experience of employee relations case management, you will also experience of partnering to a client group and providing support, advice and guidance to senior management. About the role:

We are looking for a talented and ambitious individual to generate income for the Olive Tree Cancer Support Group through the development and implementation of a Trust & Foundations strategy. This will involve the planning and writing of funding bids, reporting on previous and new grants, liaising with funders and researching new funding opportunities to generate a significant level of income to agreed targets.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and skilled Trust and Foundations fundraiser who is confident and capable in taking the lead on this key strand of our fundraising stream. You will be managed by the Centre Manager and supported by the Trustees and will have autonomy on leading trusts and grants applications and related work.

About you:

The ideal candidate will bring experience of successfully submitting and winning bids from Trusts and Foundations and a good understanding of fundraising targets.  You will be results-orientated, managing our Trusts and Statutory fundraising pipeline, and helping to develop our statutory income.

You will build excellent working relationships with staff at both of our centres, and on occasion work from our Horsham Site and attend some fundraising events.

You may also be required to assist in day-to-day operations at the Centre, such as answering the phones, booking appointments and working with vulnerable  service users.  As we are a small team, a team-player attitude is a must, as well as a positive and can-do approach.

The flexibility and willingness to work several evenings and weekend days throughout the year and ability to travel independently is essential for this role.

We are looking for three new Funding Officers  to join our passionate and friendly team in Northern Ireland.

2. One Full Time Fixed Term Funding Officer up to 31 December 2026 to be part of our Eastern Team which covers the following Council areas: Belfast, Lisburn and Castlereagh and Antrim and Newtownabbey. The Eastern Team is led by a Funding Manager and is comprised of six other Funding Officers. Your role will be to work across all of these council areas as needed to support the demands of our funding programmes. You will join a passionate and friendly team and be part of ensuring over £30m annually is delivered to support communities to make a difference locally.

Location: You will work mainly from home, and community locations in the Eastern area. The role will also involve travel to the Belfast office (on average once every week).

3. One Full Time Permanent Funding Officer to work in our Northern Ireland Dormant Assets team, led by a Funding Manager, with one other Funding Officer working exclusively on Dormant funding. It sits within the wider NI Funding team (circa 20 people), some of whom also work on Dormant programmes. Your role will be to ensure Dormant Assets funding supports a wide variety of VCSE organisations across Northern Ireland. Dormant Funds are not National Lottery money, but funds released by financial institutions.

Location: You’ll work mainly from home and community locations and  will be required to attend The National Lottery Community Fund offices in Belfast when necessary (on average one day per week).

The roles are varied and involve assessment of applications, grant management and engagement with key stakeholders. You will use your local knowledge and experience to support our assessment and decision making. By working closely with people and communities  you will understand what matters to them and where our funding can make the biggest difference. 

You will be required to:

• Assess applications across our funding programmes
• Manage your own caseload of grants which will involve liaising with grant holders, visiting projects, identifying and managing risks, and supporting organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact.
• Understand and respond to the different needs of the community, our applicants and grant holders
• Provide advice and feedback and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations.
• Represent the Fund by engaging with key stakeholders, including potential applicants, network support agencies, Council staff, and by attending funding fairs and external meetings.

The Volunteer Relationship Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising the volunteer programme within the College of Paramedics.

Job Purpose

To lead and manage regional fundraising initiatives around the UK, developing relationships with volunteers, donors, and community groups to maximise income generation and awareness. This role requires a combination of strategic oversight, operational support and hands-on engagement with volunteers and supporters across multiple regions. Ideally the National Fundraising Manager will be present at the charity’s office 1-2 days per week, with the rest of the time dedicated to travel across the UK in support of our extensive volunteer family.

Fundraising development

• Identify and cultivate new opportunities for national fundraising.
• Support volunteers with fundraising ideas, materials, and advice.

Person Specification

Experience

• 2 years minimum community fundraising experience or fast paced, target driven field sales environment with demonstrable transferrable skills.

• Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering fundraising events, both small and large-scale, with a focus on community engagement.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a self-motivated, proactive and excellent communicator to help our major donors achieve their philanthropic goals through their relationship with Rainbow Trust.

Reporting to the Major Donor and Trusts Manager, this newly created role, in our expanding team, will help manage and cultivate relationships with high-net-worth individuals as part of our major gift programme. The Major Gifts Fundraiser will be responsible for reaching new donors and increasing sustainable income growth, contributing to driving our key fundraising campaigns and events, and will also manage a small portfolio of donors.

The Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow and diversify individual giving income streams. Key Responsibilities

1. Lottery Promotion:
