The Role

As the Head of Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in securing the resources and relationships we need to fuel our ambitious goals. You will lead our efforts to establish high-value, strategic partnerships with corporate sponsors, corporate foundations, and other stakeholders while driving a robust fundraising strategy to ensure long- term sustainability.

You will also help shape GirlDreamer’s long-term vision and expand its reach through innovative, strategic approaches to partnerships. We currently receive organic, inbound enquiries for partnerships as well as generate our own leads through networking. However, we have not yet fully capitalised on these opportunities due to limited capacity but have previously designed bespoke partnerships.

This role is an exciting opportunity to harness our existing interest and develop innovative, scalable partnerships. By doing so, you will help shape GirlDreamer’s vision and expand its reach, directly contributing to our mission of creating opportunities for women of colour.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Development: Identify, cultivate, and secure partnerships with corporate sponsors, corporate foundations, and other stakeholders that align with GirlDreamer’s mission and values.

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and collaboration.

Income Generation: Drive income growth by securing sponsorships, paid partnerships and other funding opportunities to meet annual and multi-year targets.

Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership team and founders to align fundraising and income generation goals with organisational strategy and programmatic needs.

Innovation: Stay on top of trends and opportunities in the philanthropic and corporate sectors, such as impact investing, CSR trends, and digital philanthropy, to keep bringing a fresh approach to sustainability.

Who we are looking for:

Someone with substantial and demonstrable experience of working with corporates within FTSE 250 and the commercial sector. This includes proactively acquiring new partnerships and maximising existing relationships, including how to access the decision makers.

Have excellent presentation and negotiating skills, representing the charity in a range of settings and to a range of audiences.

Be a self-starter with strong sales and influencing skills, Able to work independently in particular in developing corporate fundraising products and tools.

Degree in Business, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience in income/revenue generation, fundraising, or new business sales, preferably within the nonprofit sector.

Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.

Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills, displaying a commitment to excellence and careful attention to detail.

Target driven with an ability to think strategically and develop and implement compelling fundraising strategies.

Strong organisational and project management skills.

The Children's Society (TCS) has been helping children and young people for over 140 years. Everything we do is to create positive change in young people's lives. Our annual Good Childhood Report has shown that children and young people's wellbeing is declining. It's our organisational goal to reverse this decline by 2030.

The Audience Insight team is a key function to help us on this journey. We help the organisation to understand opportunities to grow support, deepen engagement with existing supporters and optimise our communications and fundraising products. We have an exciting opportunity in our team: we are looking someone exceptional to join as our supporter insight analyst for 12 months, while the permanent post holder goes on maternity leave. In this role, you will be responsible for generating actionable insight into supporter engagement to help us optimise our activities and communications; ensuring that we are talking to our supporters about the things that they're interested in, in the right media and with the right frequency and evaluating responses in order to continually improve and deepen our supporter engagement.

You will become an insight partner for colleagues across the social impact domain and will help to upskill colleagues to become confident data users to help create an insight culture at TCS.

To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in an analyst role and be highly technical with strong SQL skills. You will have the curiosity and capability to use the wealth of data TCS has access to, to help us deepen engagement with existing and new supporter audiences. You must be go-getting and proactive, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

You will be inquisitive and curious; always interrogating briefs to ensure we are asking the right questions of the data; and using your knowledge of data to go beyond the brief and add extra value.

This role sits within our Enabling Domain and reports into the Senior Supporter Insight Analyst. Our focus is on elevating young people's voices; challenging public perceptions of the challenges young people face; and attracting, retaining, and mobilising support through voice, time, and money. 

Essential Skills

-Minimum of 3 years' experience as a data analyst in a commercial or not for profit organisation

-Advanced excel user

-Proficient in using data to effectively tell stories to stakeholders, through clear and informative data visualisations in PowerBi or other dashboard software such as Tableau, as well as through PowerPoint.

-Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders and influence their decision making.

Growing Well is a farm-based mental health charity originating on Low Sizergh Farm near Kendal and recently expanding to a second site at Tebay Services (Northbound), and a third in Egremont, West Cumbria.

The horticultural context is key to our charity as it provides a safe, supportive working environment to nurture mental health recovery. Growing Well works with people on a weekly basis to help rebuild a sense of purpose, to engage in meaningful and fulfilling activity and to build hope for the future.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Manager for Growing Well's site at Tebay Services (Northbound) in the Eden Valley, on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

The role of the Manager (Tebay) is to:

• Manage the day-to-day operations at Growing Well’s 1.5-acre Tebay site and ensure that at all times our site is safe, productive, excellently maintained and efficiently run. This includes:
  • Safe and efficient service delivery
  • Effective delivery of annual crop plan and supply chain management
  • Financial management of the Tebay enterprise
  • Legal and Health and Safety management of the site
• Manage the delivery of therapeutic activity, skills development and support for up to 100 Volunteers (beneficiaries) per week.
• Line manage Tebay staff team (5 direct reports).
• Manage local fundraising and marketing initiatives with support from Growing Well Development Team colleagues.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to create a culture of respect, inclusion and security.

This is a 12-month contract commencing January 2025, but there is some flexibility on start dates for the right person.

Birmingham LGBT is seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager (BDM) to work closely with the Director to grow the business activities of Birmingham LGBT. Emmaus Oxford is looking for a Charity retail Deputy Store Manager to join our retail management team running our large charity superstore in Cowley Oxford. Emmaus provides housing support and meaning occupation in our social enterprise to up to 28 ex-homeless men and women [known in Emmaus as Companions].  As well as providing retail management the role also involves coaching and training companions and working closely with our team of Progression Workers and Learning & Development Manager. Emmaus collects donations of furniture and household goods from across Oxfordshire and these are sold in our superstore in Cowley and through our online sales business. Proceeds from sales make a major contribution towards our housing & support service. The role is Fulltime [37.5 hr per week] will involve some weekend working and key holding responsibility. About the role

Working as a member of Groundwork’s Local Programmes Team the postholder will develop, deliver and sustain programmes of waste education activity and learning and with communities across South Tyne and Wear. The post will be based at the South Tyne and Wear Waste Management Partnership’s (STWWMP) Visitor and Education Centre at the Campground Waste Transfer Station. This facility is operated by SUEZ and is the regions first centre for dedicated waste education opportunities. This post will provide a valuable resource for Groundwork, the Waste Partnership and SUEZ to achieve their respective organisational objectives.

A bit about you

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced staff member to develop and lead a programme of community waste education activity across the South Tyne and Wear Partnership area as part of the South Tyne and Wear Waste Management Partnership PFI.

You will have a proven track record of successful project development and delivery backed with appropriate qualifications. Excellent communication skills and an ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse range of partners are essential. Experience of waste and recycling initiatives and a passion for working in local communities, ideally in educational and awareness raising settings, are required.

Based in a purpose built facility you will work largely autonomously to engage and encourage school visits and community ownership. You will develop and deliver an exciting programme of waste education sessions suitable for a range of centre users. Working five days a week the post will require outreach work across the South Tyne and Wear area as well as regular evening and weekend work.

We are currently looking for an Endowment Accountant and Business Partner to work with our busy and growing Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Business partnership

• Provide a full business partnering support to the Endowment business unit:
• Build, maintain and develop effective relationships with members of the Endowment team and work closely with them to improve mutual knowledge and financial understanding.
• Serve as a key partner to Endowment leadership, acting as a ‘critical friend’ by challenging assumptions and activities were necessary to ensure alignment of strategic and financial goals.
• Develop the business partner role into one that is fully able to proactively support strategic decision making, provide forward-looking insight and analysis, deliver effective financial performance information, and support the development of a culture of value-for-money within the Endowment.

Accounting, reporting, budgeting and planning

• Perform the accounting for the property and financial investing activities of the business unit, including property rental income and expenditure derived from third party managers’ reports.
• Prepare regular financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements which are tailored to both the Endowment’s and the wider organisation’s needs and aligned with their structures. 
• Prepare regular short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, and support cash management within the endowment as well as across the wider group. 
• Develop and track key performance indicators. 
• Develop and produce effective dashboards and other reporting to provide insight and support decision making. 
• Lead from a finance perspective the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Endowment, and support their integration into the wider organisation’s processes. 
• Support the annual property valuation process. 

Data insight and integrity
 

• Have a thorough understanding of the management, maintenance, flow and reconciliation of the financial data relating to the Endowment across multiple systems. 
• Conduct rigorous analysis of financial data, trends, and performance metrics to derive insights and offer recommendations for informed decision-making. 
• Use advanced financial modelling and analytics to produce actionable insights. 
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data for the endowment portfolio.
   

Collaboration

• Support the Endowment team with any new process, including working with other teams to ensure end-to-end financial integrity. 
• Support investment processes by assisting with KYC and overseas tax forms. 
• Collaborate effectively within the Finance team to enhance performance and ensure alignment with organisational objectives. 
• Work with internal/external auditors and other stakeholders are required. 
• Support governance processes by providing necessary financial information and analysis.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Knowledge and qualifications 

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified accounting technician (e.g. AAT) – desirable but not essential. 
• Understanding of the accounting framework and financial challenges for the property and financial investment sectors. 
• Strategic financial knowledge.

Experience

• Demonstrable success in preparing management information related to property and investment activities.
• Solid strategic financial acumen and commercial awareness. 
• Established track record of cultivating successful business relationships and partnerships.

Skills and abilities 

• Highly numerate with advanced Excel skills (essential, will be tested).  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills (essential). 
• Advanced user of Access Financials, Access Analytics and Access Office Integration (desirable).
