The Head of Programmes is a critical role for the organisation, responsible for ensuring DEC funded programmes meet programmatic standards, are fully traceable, routinely monitored and comply with organisational procedures and institutional donors’ requirements. In addition, the Head of Programmes is also appointed as the Serious Incident Reporting (SIR) Officer, serving as the first point of contact for member agencies to report incidents regarding safeguarding, financial misconduct and reputational risk.

Externally, the Head of Programmes liaises with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Senior Response Officers, UN OCHA, Charity Commission, Emergency Appeals Alliance, Member Agencies including Humanitarian Directors and in-country colleagues.

Key responsibilities:

Communication and Collaboration

• Key point of contact with member colleagues regarding programmes finance, adaptive programming and DEC compliance, facilitating timely and accurate communication.
• Contribute to DEC functional and advisory groups, Board sub-committee meetings and Board meetings including participation in Humanitarian Directors meetings.
• As a key point of contact with FCDO SROs, develop and maintain a positive and collaborative relationship, and ensure timely delivery of all UK Aid Match MOU obligations.
• Strengthen and maintain colleagues understanding of DEC’s ways of working both internally and externally (DEC HQ members, in-country colleagues and local partners and key stakeholders).

Analysis and Reporting

• Provide oversight to the review and analysis of member charity appeal budget plans and financial reports with a focus on compliance with DEC policies and good practice guidelines to assess unusual variances and value for money considerations.
• Deliver and contribute to timely and high-quality infographics, reports and briefings for key stakeholders and institutional donors including Board of Trustees, FCDO and BBC.
• Manage & maintain investment in public transparency and demonstrate DEC’s contribution to the humanitarian sector, including reporting to IATI and UN OCHA Financial Tracking Service (FTS).
• Continuously develop, improve and manage DEC’s Knowledge Information Management systems (KIM), as user-friendly collaborating platforms that enhance learning and enable data analysis, visualisation and high-quality reporting.
• Collect, analyse and present accurate and timely data to help inform a rapid assessment of appeal Criteria 2 for both rapid onset and evolving protracted crises and contribute to the development of the Case for Appeal.

 Management and Leadership

• Holistic and flexible approach to any given scenario/context, whilst ensuring a robust process is followed, recorded and documented.
• Deputise for the Director of Humanitarian Programmes and Accountabilit
• Effectively line manage and provide leadership to Grant Managers and Programme Officers, contributing to the high performance of the Programmes & Accountability team.
• Manage the Appeal Surge Roster (external consultants) including overseeing recruitment and necessary training.
• As Serious Incident Reporting Officer, manage processes and support with onward reporting to key stakeholders including FCDO and Charity Commission.
• Manage service providers as required.

In this role, you will manage and scale the School Chef Educator Programme, a 10-week training initiative for school kitchen staff. Summary of position​​

Art Explora is looking for an experienced Community Programme Manager with a passion for arts engagement and cultural outreach to manage and build our innovative Community Programme for Art Explora in the UK. ​​

The Community Programme Manager will lead on and develop Art Explora’s key community programme streams – Arts at Home, Theatre at Home, Music at Home, Mini Art Explorers and Art Explorers at..., and manage Art Explora UK’s growing volunteer community. The Community Programme Manager will explore ways to expand the content for this programme though new partnerships with museums, galleries and other cultural institutions, as well as expand the programme into more care homes and other care settings, such as hospitals, across the UK.  ​

The Community Programme Manager will manage Art Explora’s growing pool of 140+ volunteers. They will ensure that Art Explora has a comprehensive and supportive volunteer offer. They will review our current volunteer recruitment processes and policies, safeguarding and training procedures, and ensure we meet the highest standards for working with volunteers. ​​

The volunteer community is key to Art Explora’s strategy for scaling up arts engagement in the UK. Through the generous support of volunteers, we can bring our arts programmes to more people and spread the benefits of engaging with arts and culture more widely. About the role​

The Community Programme Manager will bring their own experience and knowledge of outstanding community programming to build on and expand the current programme. The Community Programme Manager will manage partnerships with key stakeholders and develop new relationships with a variety of partners, from cultural institutions to new care settings. ​​​

The Community Programme Manager is a pivotal position within the small, dedicated and growing Art Explora team in the UK. The Community Programme Manager will be supported by a Community Programme Assistant and the volunteer community. We are looking for a candidate with management experience.  ​​

To achieve this, the chosen candidate will not only have a passion for arts outreach and engagement, but will also have a proven track record in project management, managing volunteers, excellent organisation and communications skills, and be experienced in building relationships at all levels – with community organisations such as care homes, volunteers, local authorities, content and delivery partners, senior stakeholders, collaborators and supporters. ​

Person Specification​​

Essential skills and experience ​

• At least 5 years’ experience delivering arts and cultural outreach programmes, for example within an education and engagement team for an arts organisation, or working directly with community organisations or within the care sector​

• Proven experience of volunteer management including recruitment, training, logistics and personnel management​

• A good knowledge of arts engagement practice in the UK and leading organisations in this field ​

• A proven track record of budget management and event coordination​

• Some experience of fundraising from public sector, trusts and foundations​

• A confident communicator (oral and writing), with an enthusiasm for building creative partnerships and capable of working with a wide range of senior stakeholders and partners ​

• A good knowledge of cultural policies and current cultural engagement landscape​

• Experience of implementing EDI policies and good practice, with passion for driving EDI related change in the arts and cultural sector

We're looking for two experienced bid and/or fundraising professionals to join our team as Development Manager on a permanent basis.

You'll be responsible for the development of a portfolio of donor relationships and will work across all parts of the proposal process from prospect research all the way through to submissions. As Development Manager, you'll work alongside the Associate Directors of Development to support their work in leading small (up to £100,000), medium (£100,000-£500,000) and large (£500,000+) funding opportunities. This includes central government contracts, local authority bids, corporate partnerships, and grants from trusts and foundations.

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Associate Director, Development.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 
 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll have a good understanding of funding/proposal preparation processes and proven experience in securing funding opportunities in the range of £50k-£100k.

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience of successfully cultivating relationships with funders such as trust, foundations, local authorities, corporates and major donors.

Whilst experience of securing funding from research institutions and knowledge of England's education and charity sectors are desirable, it is not essential for applying to this role.

About You 

Our client are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic data insights manager to help them make the most of their existing data across The Trusts, alongside developing new innovations to improve understanding of their supporters, their contribution to nature’s recovery and the values that the public place on nature. 

They are looking for a skilled data specialist to help to draw together and take forward data insights work across The Trusts. Working directly to the Director for Climate Change and Evidence, the postholder will lead on and manage our existing large-scale data insights projects, including the Great Big Nature Survey (the largest UK-wide survey of nature values); oversee the analysis of internal data collected across the federation of Trusts; and undertake data analysis of external impact, from brand awareness to major public engagement programmes such as 30 Days’ Wild. Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to give struggling children hope and a future. Oherwydd lleoliad y gweithgareddau recriwtio, byddai ymgeiswyr sy’n byw yng Nghymru (de-ddwyrain Cymru yn ddelfrydol – Caerdydd a Chasnewydd) yn cael eu ffafrio.

Mae angen archwiliad manwl gan y Gwasanaeth Datgelu a Gwahardd (DBS) ar gyfer y rôl hon, a bydd yn cael ei brosesu gan TACT ar eich rhan.

Mae diogelu yn fusnes i bawb ac mae TACT yn credu mai dim ond y bobl sydd â’r sgiliau a’r gwerthoedd iawn ddylai weithio ym maes gwaith cymdeithasol. Fel rhan o ymrwymiad TACT i ddiogelu, rydym yn archwilio sgiliau, profiad, cymwysterau a gwerthoedd darpar staff mewn perthynas â’n gwaith gyda phlant ifanc agored i niwed. Rydym yn defnyddio dulliau recriwtio trwyadl a chyson i helpu i ddiogelu pobl ifanc TACT. Disgwylir i’n holl staff weithio yn unol â pholisïau diogelu TACT.

Rydym yn cadw’r hawl i gau hysbyseb swydd yn gynharach na’r hyn a hysbysebwyd os yw nifer y ceisiadau’n ormodol, felly fe’ch cynghorir i wneud cais cyn gynted ag y bo modd.

Nid yw TACT yn derbyn dogfennau CV digymell gan asiantaethau recriwtio allanol nac yn derbyn y ffioedd sy’n gysylltiedig â nhw.
