About the role:
The Regional Finance Director will provide the overall leadership and management for all aspects of finance to Ark Schools in the South London region. The role will be focused on ensuring processes are embedded across all schools; supporting schools new to the network (or with new staff structures) with transition as well as leading, with regard to finance, on strategic projects within the schools.
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in the implementation of financial processes, planning and reporting
- Extensive experience in successfully managing and motivating a team
- A highly organised and proactive approach to work
Key Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for all aspects of finance at the academies and developing the in-school finance teams to provide a high-level service to their principals and operations leads
- To be a member of the South London Senior Leadership Team, with responsibility for strategic financial management and financial performance
- To work with Ark Central, and other academies in the Ark network, to develop, implement and embed standardised processes and procedures
- To be responsible directly to the Schools Finance Director for the strategic financial management in all schools in the region
- To control, monitor and evaluate the academies’ finances, ensuring compliance with financial requirements and value for money
- To ensure clear and timely management and financial accounts as required for the Regional Director, Principals, Local Governing Bodies, and Ark Central
- To work with the Operations Leads to negotiate, manage and monitor contracts, tenders and agreements for the provision of services to the Academies, to ensure that services are delivered to a high quality and support the operation of the Academies
- To work with the HR Business Partner to oversee all matters relating to payroll, including Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs queries, National Insurance, benefits in lieu of pay (travel loans etc.), Give as You Earn scheme, and to ensure that appropriate controls are in place and robust checks are made in relation to the monthly payroll
- To be responsible for ensuring the region’s processes for pensions management and reporting are in place. This includes monthly and annual returns as well as audit, working with the HR Business Partner and school HR teams, as applicable
- To develop, enable and strategically lead a team of finance staff to deliver the vision for the region against its strategic priorities and timescales
- To arrange or deliver finance training for staff in South London, maintaining an on-going review of need
- To drive forward change and initiatives which promote regularity, propriety, value for money and best standards
Key Requirements:
- Professional accountancy qualification, including significant post-qualifying experience
- A record of Continuing Professional Development activities
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience of strategic financial planning and supporting decision-making
- Experience of leading and managing budgeting and reporting processes in an organisation
- Extensive experience of managing and motivating staff and monitoring performance against targets
- Knowledge and experience of financial management systems and processes
- Strong financial management skills
- Strong people management skills, with highly developed interpersonal and motivational skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands
- Strong organisational, project management, and planning skill

Main duties of the role

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join our team in the Camden Crisis Teams. We are looking for both full and part time staff, (working hours to be agreed, however, our service runs Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9am-5pm), on a permanent contract. Reporting directly to the Connections Team Leader.
Your role will require you to provide one-to-one support for service users, setting personal goals with the service user for recovery, developing ways with the service user on how to keep well and identifying their own personal sources of support. This will involve work and travel within the Borough of Camden but will be based at in one of the Crisis Team offices either at Daleham Gardens or St Pancras Hospital. The post is a permanent contract with a starting salary between £24,000 - £31,000 pro rata depending on experience.
How will you make a difference?
You will work with the Peer Support Team and draw upon lived experience to assist service users to move forward positively. Acting as a specialist resource to provide a unique perspective to service users.
You will hold a small caseload to allow regular sessions to be held with the service user, maintaining confidential records, utilising VoiceAbility and NHS electronic records system. Planning, implementation of and review of care packages, including parts of the individual care plan.

The Diocese of Guildford has an exciting part-time opportunity for a Community Lead to manage our Hear Here project.
The Hear Here Project is a community-focused initiative which involves collaboration between the Diocese, Parishes, NHS Audiology Departments and Sight for Surrey to assist those who wear an NHS-issued hearing aid with any technical issues at clinics run by trained hearing champions. The clinics helps to break the cycle of isolation often experienced by those with hearing loss.
The project, powered by volunteers, operates in parish churches and other community spaces, forming a key part of the diocese's "Growing Communities" strategy.
The role involves leading, managing, and ensuring the governance of Hear Here across the diocese. The Community Project Lead will work closely with volunteers, maintaining high clinic standards and fostering relationships with key partners to secure the project’s future and enhance its outreach potential.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Providing overall leadership and manage the daily activities of Hear Here.
· Promote the project across the diocese, ensuring it is recognised as a vital part of parish outreach and mission.
· Collect and analyse data from clinics for accurate and timely reporting.

About the Role
As the Head of Youth Work, you'll take the lead in shaping the future for young people, guiding a dynamic team of Youth Workers to create a youth work experience that stands out. About You
You will:
- Be driven, hardworking, organised and equally comfortable engaging with young people and staff/volunteers.
- Have a sense of fun, plenty of energy but also a calm temperament and the ability to operate at a senior level
- Believe in young people’s potential and be proactive and can-do.
You won’t be afraid to get stuck in leading sessions yourself if needed, and you will lead on safeguarding within the organisation.
You will have experience of:
- Youth work, including in open access environments with young people aged 7-19 (up to 25 with additional needs/disability)
- Leading and managing youth work activities
- Managing staff and volunteers, leading a team to achieve targets and key performance indicators (for example membership & attendance)
- Managing budgets
- Managing conflict between young people and establish clear behaviour standards
- Developing opportunities for young people to participate in decision making processes

Experience as a qualified ASIST Trainer or willingness to gain qualification and experience
Experience of using own initiative and creativity to develop a project, programme or area of work
The ability to travel to different locations across Peterborough, East Midlands and Cambridgeshire to attend meetings, events and deliver training.
