Position: CEO
Salary: £65,575 – £68,854 depending on experience.
Location: Fully remote, working from home, with some travel.

The NBN Trust is a nature charity with a difference. Our mission is making data work for nature. The UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries on Earth and, if we’re to stand any hope of fixing it, we’re going to need data. Lots of data. “What gets measured gets done”, as the saying goes. We need to understand what we’ve lost and what remains. We need to set targets for nature’s recovery. And we need to measure success as nature turns the corner and starts to make a comeback.
That’s where the NBN Trust comes in. We support the entire UK conservation movement by providing public access to the wildlife data that’s needed to make good decisions for nature. We’re a conservation charity, tech charity and people charity rolled into one – a unique combination!
You’ll be responsible for:
· Driving the delivery of our strategy and vision of making data work for nature.
· Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with our partners, funders and stakeholders.
· Overseeing the day-to-day management of the NBN Trust, ensuring financial sustainability, staff performance and wellbeing, and good governance.
We’re looking for someone with a data or digital background, with a track record of overseeing the delivery a high-quality user experience through digital products and commercialising data or digital services. Passion for nature conservation is essential, as well as a desire to engage with the many natural history specialists who contribute data to the NBN Atlas. We’re looking for an ambitious individual with an agile, entrepreneurial mind-set, who can drive income generation and growth.
The ideal candidate understands what an excellent data platform looks like and how to continually evolve this to keep up with trends and developments. Attention to detail and ability to horizon-scan is key in overseeing the Trust’s projects and key work streams and ensuring good governance. The NBN Trust is a small team, with a big responsibility, undergoing a period of change, and your role will be to steer the staff through this change and deliver the NBN Trust’s strategy.
We’re a 100% remote-working charity, so you’ll need to be comfortable and effective working from home. The whole team meets up four times a year for in-person team meetings (in London and other locations around the UK). The post holder may be required to work occasional weekends and evenings.
Applicants must reside in the UK and be eligible to work in the UK.
We’re an equal opportunities and Living Wage employer. We welcome all applicants, and we’re striving to create an inclusive and diverse team. If you’re interested in joining us, please read the Job Pack – and get in touch if there’s anything you’d like to ask.

About CEASE
CEASE is a small human rights-based charity with a huge vision: to create a world without sexual exploitation through exposing and dismantling its cultural and commercial drivers. It is only through addressing this wider context that we believe it will be possible to see real change.
CEASE’s advocacy is rooted in evidence, stories and human rights as it seeks to join the dots between the sex industry, a hypersexualised, objectifying, pornified culture and public attitudes and behaviours towards sex.
Our approach is both top-down and bottom-up. Through our policy work, we seek to subject the sex industry to greater scrutiny, accountability and regulation, to disrupt its business model and to shift the political consensus. Through our communications work, we expose the multifaceted harms of the sex industry, challenging the prevailing cultural narratives and creating lasting culture change.
We work across a broad range of stakeholders, from charities to politicians and activist groups. CEASE is not affiliated to any single ideological, political or religious position but seek to build a diverse alliance that shares our vision, grounded in common social values.
To understand more about our ethos and beliefs please head to our website or you can see more of our impact from our 2023/24 Annual Report.
The Role
We are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial CEO to consolidate and expand CEASE’s ambitious vision.
The CEO position requires:
- Someone who is passionately committed to CEASE’s vision and mission.
- A strategic and visionary leader who inspires trust.
- The breadth of operational leadership skills needed to run a small charity.
- A relationship builder and gifted communicator who loves collaborating with a broad range people.
- The ability to work well with CEASE’s Board of Trustees.

Founded in 2020 with a clear mission to ensure African, Caribbean, and Asian communities have equitable access to vital water safety education, the award-winning Black Swimming Association (BSA) is leading a transformative movement within the aquatic sector, where we proudly serve as a bridge into communities that have been historically excluded, disenfranchised and invisible in the context of aquatics and water safety. Now, we’re looking for a passionate, driven CEO to lead us into our next chapter.
In just five years, the BSA has grown from four cofounders to a small but dedicated team that above all cares about the communities we serve. From commissioning pioneering research and insights; to delivering life-saving water safety programmes across the country, the charity is unapologetically steadfast in its mission to promote water safety and drowning prevention. We’re looking for a leader that understands people, fights for equity, and is ready to transition the charity from being a fledgling start up to an established nationally recognised body.
We will close for applications on Friday 25th April, 2025 and will then move into the interview process. All candidates will be contacted following closure of the advertisement but please note we may not be able to provide individual feedback to unsuccessful candidates.

You will forge strong relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for OCH. With services spanning North East and South East England, your leadership will directly influence the lives of nearly 1,300 people facing homelessness each year and drive our mission of transforming lives through supported accommodation, support, and community.

The Freedom Fund was established in 2014 to act as a global catalyst to ending modern slavery once and for all by mobilising the knowledge, capital and will of donors, partners and beneficiaries. Through the generosity of our incredible investors and donors, we have already provided around $100m of funding into frontline organisations and communities and helped them to build the powerful coalitions needed to affect change at local and national levels.
