About the Role:

As the Trusts & Foundations Manager you will be responsible for generating income from grant making trusts and foundations.

You will take the lead on seeking out new prospects and nurturing existing relationships to significantly grow income. You will achieve this by researching sources of funding, devising individually tailored applications, maintaining excellent communications with existing and potential donor trusts and foundations, delivering an agreed income target as well as growing funding from these sources.

We are happy to consider people who want to work full-time (35 hours), or four days per week (28 hours).

Here's a summary of your key responsibilities:

• Proactively identify and research new and pipeline trust, lottery and statutory fundraising opportunities and progress them to application stage.
• Developing the trust and foundation pipeline to generate new income and multiyear grants
• To lead the development of new fundraising proposals for priority fundraising projects, including potential research partnership opportunities where MQ collaborates on a joint bid with another institution
• To carry out targeted and systematic research to establish new high value prospects utilising existing networks, the MQ database, search engines and referrals
• Build long-term relationships with new and prospect trust, lottery and statutory donors, including through meetings, attendance at conferences and events, regular update
• calls/comms and – when possible – direct face-to-face engagement.
• Report on performance against agreed budgets and targets
• Capitalise on the expertise and networks of MQ’s senior volunteers, including working closely with MQ Trustees and other Development Team colleagues to maximise existing opportunities for introductions, including the Lord Mayor’s Appeal

About You:

This role is for you if you are an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser, with good knowledge of the sector. You'll have demonstrable experience of securing five and six figure grants to achieve annual income targets, both through stewarding existing supporters and through researching and cultivating a pipeline of new opportunities.

You will also be skilled in understanding and translating complex information and turning it in to compelling written proposals, for grants, corporate partnerships and major donors.

We do require someone who is proactive, hardworking and results-orientated.

Essential role requirements include:

• Experience of trusts and foundation fundraising and able to demonstrate continual growth in expertise and results in this area.
• Good understanding of the trusts and foundations fundraising environment and associated processes and different types of grant making bodies.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write concise and inspiring funding applications and to make presentations.
• Creative thinker, with ability to identify funding opportunities and match them with the right trusts.
• Good interpersonal, influencing and relationship-management skills, at all levels.
• Ability to work as part of a team and spot opportunities to grow and develop relationships for the good of the organisation.

You will be driven to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and be a sophisticated communicator with the confidence to build relationships with and inspire colleagues and donors.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge/NXT is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of using Monday[dot]com

Regional Communications Manager

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on communications all-rounder with a breadth of skills to help deliver the strategic communications objectives for a national youth charity.

The charity is poised at an exciting phase of growth, with seven large scale youth centres (called Youth Zones) set to open over the next three years, a new three year organisational strategy, and an ambitious strategic communications strategy to support this in place.

About the Role

This is a key role within the communications team that will see you create understanding and awareness between the organisation and the key local and regional audiences that matter, as the charity embarks on its biggest ever period of growth. 

This role will involve managing a small portfolio of local end-to-end integrated communications and PR programmes at various stages, to launch new Youth Zones in Barnsley, Crewe, Grimsby and Preston.  You will work closely with each Youth Zone’s Relationship Managers and Fundraisers, as well as its CEO, and Trustee Board, and Young People's Development Group, acting as their trusted communications advisor.

In addition, you will oversee and lead a fundraising focussed communications and marketing campaign to boost reach to new funders (who we call Founder Patrons) in the areas where there are new Youth Zones.

The breadth of this role means no two days are the same, which is why we are seeking somebody organised, dynamic and self-motivated with exceptional project management and stakeholder management skills.

About You

We will be looking for someone that can demonstrate a broad range of communications skills from working with local media to place newsworthy, positive stories around the Youth Zones development, to supporting the development of new Youth Zones websites.

If you are as confident pitching a story to media as you are managing a branding project or overseeing an event, then this could be the role for you.

There will also be opportunities to contribute to the national communications plan, working closely with the Director of Communications and Brand on several high-profile projects, including overseeing and launching the new Youth Advocates programme, working with young people across the Network.

Routes To Roots was formed to meet the identified needs of those experiencing or effected by homelessness across Poole. Providing individuals with a daily hot meal, social interaction and access to additional health and wellbeing support.

As a Project Worker at The Genesis Day Centre, Poole, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals who are homeless and vulnerably housed.

You will contribute to the daily serving of food as well as the successful implementation of support groups and programmes. Working within a small team of staff and volunteers you will help address the immediate needs of homeless individuals, whilst promoting long-term solutions and empowerment. A faith based charity, the organisation seeks to provide the daily essentials in addition to ongoing support and signposting.

Main Duties

• Offer emotional support, guidance, and advocacy to help meet the immediate needs of individuals presenting at The Genesis Centre as well as navigating them through their homelessness journey.
• Empower and motivate individuals through 1-1's and groups.
• To work with multiple agencies based both at the Gensis Centre and externally to ensure effective and efficient collaborative working
• Identify and coordinate appropriate group sessions that provide support and encourage the growth of networks and peer support.
• To contribute to the daily delivery of the Genesis Centre offer including organising, preparing and serving meals as well as providing access to provision including washing and laundry facilities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, incidents and attendance records, whilst ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies

Interim Finance Director

Location: London – Hybrid (flexi) 
Hours: Part time, 3 days per week

Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Director will be part of In Kind Direct’s leadership team and contribute to the overall leadership, strategic direction and decision-making of the organisation.

The Finance Director will also be responsible for implementing and developing financial planning, budgeting and forecasting to support IKD’s decision making for increased impact and improve IKD’s effectiveness and efficiency. This includes responsibility for the development and maintenance of the internal finance controls, policies, procedures and systems. Finally, you will also lead decision-making on investments, reserves and the management of financial strategy and risks, taking into account our approach to sustainability. Previous experience in eCommerce and distribution will be a significant advantage given the innovative In Kind Direct model.

Skills and experience you will bring

• Experience working at FD level with in-depth knowledge of financial and operational management, ideally including relevant experience within the charity sector.
• Strategic thinker experienced in collaborative strategy development.
• Innovative, curious and rigorous - able to find strategic solutions and work at pace to support commercial and operational decisions [CW5] with modelling that drive greater impact.
• Fully qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Understanding of Ecommerce and distribution is highly desirable.
• Wide experience of business planning, functional development and performance reporting, including to the Board of Trustees.
• Experience managing outsourced finance teams desirable.
• An experienced leader with a track record of delivering ambitious goals, bringing together diverse, inclusive, high performing teams.
• Equally adept at and enthused by engaging in strategic decision making and rolling up their sleeves to get involved in the day-to-day delivery of In Kind Direct.

We're looking for an experienced, creative, and passionate Senior Youth Worker to join our amazing team at Peer Power Youth. You'll be responsible for leading, delivering and evaluating young people’s involvement in our creative ‘voice and influence’ projects, where you will co-create and work alongside young people in secure settings and the community. Discovery is a student-run, charity based at Swansea University.  Each year, more than 400 student volunteers deliver community-based projects to enrich the lives of the community around them.

The role of the Volunteering Projects Manager

The Volunteering Projects Manager is responsible for the support, development and effectiveness of our projects. Providing a high level of support, coaching and development to our student volunteer project coordinators.

About the role

We are seeking an Impact and Evaluation Senior Officer, working with the Impact and Evaluation Manager, Director of Partnerships and Federation Development and with federation members.The role will be central to the delivery of strategic commitment to work together to record, study, continuously improve and broadcast our collective impact.

It’s an exciting time for the Emmaus Federation as we roll out a new In-Form (salesforce) CRM system and interlinked Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Framework.

The role will play a crucial part in implementing, gathering feedback and developing new systems and tools to be utilised by Emmaus communities.

The role will be varied in nature, one day might involve conducting interviews with people experiencing homelessness, then next providing support to a member of staff to improve a communities MEL practice, the following day might involve analysing a data set and writing a briefing paper.

Who are we looking for?

The Impact and Evaluation Senior Officer will play a key role in supporting the Emmaus federation to understand and demonstrates the impact of our work. 

The ideal candidate will have strong theoretical and practical evaluation skills coupled with the people skills to make this work accessible to a range of stakeholders.

They will need to be comfortable working as part of a remote team and able to travel to Emmaus communities across the UK to work with staff and companions.
