About the role
We’re entering an ambitious new phase of growth. This expansion will enable us to deliver our vision – that by 2050, everyone with breast cancer will live and be supported to live well.
This growth phase means we are seeking to make new connections and attract new donors who can make transformative gifts. Gaining new business will be critical.
As our philanthropy manager, you’ll be integral to supporting income growth within our major gifts fundraising programme. This is a great opportunity if you are a talented major gift fundraiser who has comprehensive experience of successfully soliciting donations from high-net-worth individuals.
This is an externally focussed, relationship management role, concentrating on securing and maintaining long term relationships with high-net-worth donors. This will include identifying new opportunities to raise funds from prospective donors who could make significant financial commitments. You’ll then be responsible for engaging, cultivating, and stewarding these relationships.
The role will support a philosophy of proactive relationship building through cultivation and stewardship communications and activities. This will entail maintaining and maximising exiting donor relationships as well as attracting new business from a growing pool of new major supporters. You’ll ensure prospective donors are engaged with appropriate propositions, particularly from our extensive medical research portfolio.
This role will involve working closely with the head of philanthropy and associate director, philanthropy and special events. Developing good working relationships with the prospect researcher, research communications colleagues and other key internal stakeholders will also be vital.

About you
We’re looking for a highly self-motivated, innovative relationship manager who has well-developed understanding and knowledge of philanthropy. You’ll have demonstrable experience of soliciting at least 5 figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals and maintaining those relationships for repeat gifts. You’ll have a track record of meeting challenging income targets as well as experience of being part of high value asks alongside senior colleagues and/or senior volunteers

Senior Communications and Activities Lead

This role offers the potential for flexible working hours with a minimum of 2 days based in the office.
Meridian Wellbeing are looking for an experienced Marketing and Communications Lead to create marketing plans and to implement its development strategies across the organisation to support the digital delivery platform and physical activities for its wellbeing services. We seek applications from candidates with a proven track record in creating marketing plans focusing on social media, content creation and brand.
The successful candidate will work closely with all service teams to promote and enhance the awareness of our services through regular marketing and communications streams such as the weekly newsletter, promotion of physical activities and workshops, the online development of our digital platforms, and manage the organisation website.
As a member of the senior team, the successful candidate will work actively to contribute to the positive development of the organisation as a mental health and wellbeing hub, seek out and develop opportunities for partnership and to grow the organisation’s presence as a leading specialist mental health and wellbeing charity.
The post is for an initial 1-year period with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
The Role
The Marketing and Communications Lead will be responsible for the development of an effective marketing strategy to encourage participation and utilisation of digital platforms in the community to improve their wellbeing. They will have responsibility to manage the content on the website, social media platforms, promotional material and communication to beneficiaries and stakeholders, with the aim of establishing the leading digital platform for community-based wellbeing services.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with the ability to develop, build and drive a marketing strategy to meet the goals of the digital platform development. The post holder will have a high level of marketing and communications skills, attention to detail, able to work independently, and with the ability to build connections with diverse audiences in the commercial, public and voluntary sectors.

Working as part of a small and focused team, the Senior Communications and Activities Lead will lead on the promotion of the organisation’s brand, integrating and bringing together the collaborative work streams. Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Create marketing plans for social media, content and brand
· Lead on the communications and marketing activities for the organisation

coherent marketing strategy bringing together the different services, activities and products developed by the organisation

Main Purpose of the Role
Momentum Children’s Charity’s fundraising team is highly ambitious, driven by our goal to help families of seriously ill children in London, Surrey and Sussex to keep moving forward. Corporate income currently comprises circa 18% of the overall income. But with our expansion in hospital partnership geography, and aspiration to provide support to more families in the future, the expansion of this income stream will be key to this growth.
Working with the Corporate Partnerships Lead, this person will enjoy helping to develop all facets of the corporate fundraising area, working with and forging relationships with businesses to develop opportunities, fundraising and charitable giving, provide outstanding stewardship and relationship management, as well as helping to research and grow a healthy, robust pipeline of new opportunities.

Community Fundraising Officer – Temporary Position from July 24 for 6 months (£24-25k)

Why join the UK Sepsis Trust (UKST)? Because there’s an exciting opportunity to work for a significant cause and help build its sustainable future. We’re building our new fundraising team and this temporary role will play an important part in accelerating our ambitious plans to increase annual income during 2024/25.
You will become the fourth member of the Fundraising Team (there are 3 full time staff) and will help to support the fundraising team.
Sepsis is the immune system’s overreaction to an infection or injury. There are over 245,000 cases each year in the UK with approximately 48,000 deaths. UKST aims to reduce preventable deaths from this ‘killer’ condition. We achieve this by:
· Raising awareness
· Supporting those affected by sepsis
· Educating health professionals
· Lobbying political organisations for better sepsis and severe infection care
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver supporter journeys i.e. fundraising resources and stewardship communications to maximise supporter numbers, retention and engagement.
2. Use UKST’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge) to accurately capture fundraiser information and key data contributing to the improved development and implementation of fundraising processes.
3. Communicate proactively and effectively with team members to pass on all relevant information, deliver excellent supporter care and to maximise fundraising opportunities.
4. Provide excellent customer service members of the public, either via phone, mail and in person, help to develop Fundraising activity whilst also offering our Support Services where necessary.
5. Represent the charity as and when required in schools, local businesses, and community groups, including speaking at events if – not essential
6. Keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and ensure compliance with the latest legislation and guidelines.
7. Assist in prioritising & managing enquiries about our Community Fundraising Programme via our dedicated inboxes.
8. Work collaboratively with the fundraising team and our Communications and Marketing Team to ensure maximum press and social media coverage is obtained for UKST’s community fundraising activities.
Day to day activities will include:
1. Managing an inbox and replying to enquiries in a timely and professional manner
1. Problem solving for fundraisers – finding the optimum way they can achieve their goals
2. Support the Event Team Lead with sending out merchandise
2. Download Giving reports and send thank yous to donors and fundraisers
3. Record Supporter details on CRM

About the Role
As a CRM Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our new customer relationship management (CRM) system and documentation during the Implementation and Business Change stages. You will work closely with the Business Analyst and CRM Business Change Manager, evaluating processes, creating documentation, helping to write test scripts, report and monitor bug fixes while supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and helping to implement best practices to enhance the overall effectiveness of our CRM platform.
Key Responsibilities
· Aid in the creation of functional, technical or test documentation.
· Address user inquiries, troubleshoot issues during UAT, and offer solutions to enhance user proficiency.
· Create and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate system behaviour.
· Collaborate with our delivery partner to address defects and ensure timely resolution.
· Create and maintain the accuracy of information on the CRM SharePoint hub.
· Aid the Business Change manager in documenting and measuring the benefits that are linked to each of the delivered requirements, collating measures and KPI results and documenting these to aid in communication of the benefits being realised.

About the organisation
Look Good Feel Better is a national cancer charity devoted to delivering workshops that help people living with a cancer diagnosis to cope with the physical and emotional side effects of their treatment. The Role
The charity is now embarking on a significant growth plan which will see a trebling in the number of beneficiaries supported (from 10,000 to 30,000 within four years). MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of Operations (HOO) plays a vital role in the development and delivery of Cockpit’s strategic plan, working closely with the Chief Executive. The HOO will ensure operational excellence, site optimisation in Bloomsbury and Deptford and lead on property strategy. The role encompasses oversight of the maker community, management of IT systems, leading on HR and responsibility for health and safety compliance.
This role would suit an entrepreneurial self-starter with demonstrable experience in property and building management, project management, budget and fiscal control, HR and team management. Knowledge of planning, business and charity financing, leasehold and landlord-tenant legislation is desirable. The role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to exert influence and maintain critical relationships. It requires a keen focus on delivery and detail as well as the ability to retain big picture perspectives. Exemplary communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
MAIN DUTIES:
1 PROPERTY AND BUILDING MANAGEMENT
Cockpit has two sites in Deptford and Bloomsbury. At each site, a Studio Manager has responsibility for the day-to-day running of the sites and liaison with makers. The Studio Managers will report to the HOO who will coordinate, plan and/or oversee all the practical management of the buildings including repairs and maintenance; alterations and refurbishments; space allocations and use of space; health and safety; tenant/maker welfare/support etc.
The HOO will manage the Studio complexes to ensure they meet the requirements of the charity and resident makers while ensuring commercial optimisation.
The HOO will ensure efficient use of space and consider charitable and commercial objectives when setting prices and rates to ensure a balanced outcome. The HOO is responsible for ensuring compliance on all aspects of Health and Safety, insurance and risk assessment.
The HOO is responsible for project managing all future real estate projects from inception to completion. They will ensure that sufficient resources, budgets and expertise are in place for such projects. The HOO will sit on Cockpit’s Property Committee.
2 LEASES, INSURANCE, LEGAL, RATES AND LA
With oversight from the CEO and Board, and relevant legal advice, the HOO will manage leasehold negotiations with Cockpit’s landlord, Camden Council. The HOO will report on such matters to the Property committee of the Board.
Working with the CEO, the HOO will manage licences issued to studio holders developing pricing structures and documentation that reflect Cockpits charitable aims and commercial objectives.
Working with the CEO, the HOO will set hire rates, rentals and other pricing related to Cockpits spaces and services in line with Cockpit’s charitable aims and commercial objectives. They will be responsible for issuing associated contracts and licences.
The HOO will oversee all insurance requirements and ensure that terms required are met. The HOO will oversee legal compliance issues in collaboration with the CEO and as directed.
The HOO will maintain good relationships with Local Authorities and be responsible for monitoring and overseeing all rates or other levies in relation to the buildings or the charity itself.
3 COMMERCIAL EVOLUTION AND PROJECTS
The HOO will take an active leadership role in developing and delivering commercial opportunities for the charity in line with its charitable objectives and the strategic plan. The HOO will lead on the strategy for development of space and venue hire, tours, better utilisation of space, and AV studio hire. The HOO will evaluate commercial opportunities/risks and will manage the delivery and ultimate running of such spaces.
The HOO will also oversee the successful delivery and oversight of the cafe operator in Deptford.
4 LIVE EVENTS
The HOO will actively contribute to the creative development of Cockpit events, including but not limited to Open Studios. They will be responsible for the operational planning and timely delivery of the events including budget management. The Event Manager and Events Coordinator will report into the HOO on all relevant events.
The HOO will be responsible for ensuring there is clear post event reporting from all departments, and that this is tracked year on year to ensure it informs future strategy, budgets and investment.
5 YOUTH AND COMMUNITY
Working with the CEO, HOO is responsible for overseeing Cockpit’s Youth and Community activities. They will be responsible for the recruitment and management of the producer, as well as overseeing budgets. The HOO will oversee the programming of any Youth & Community activities across the year and ensure these are aligned to the charities objectives and are properly funded. They will work closely with the Head of Development and Youth and Community Producer to ensure Cockpit targets the correct funding bids and works with the correct partners to deliver impactful programmes in a cost-effective manner.
6 IT and DATA MANAGEMENT
The HOO is responsible for managing Cockpit’s external IT consultant to ensure that all hardware and software bought and used by the charity is up-to-date, efficient, cost effective, secure and suitable for the charity’s activities.
The HOO is responsible for overseeing all software and digital upgrades including but not limited to the charity’s CRM, cloud-based services and future automation.
7 DATA AND GDPR
The HOO will play a central role in the planning and correct implementation of any data programme for Cockpit. This will be in close collaboration with the Head of Marketing and Digital and the CEO.
The HOO is responsible for GDPR for Cockpit and will take on responsibility for compliance and other copyright or legal practices in relation to safe data management, firewall implementation, working closely with the Head of Marketing and Digital on these matters.
8 COMPLIANCE, RISK REGISTER, HANDBOOKS, HR
The HOO has line management responsibility for the Deptford and Bloomsbury Studio Managers, Events and Venue Coordinator, Event Manager, Youth and Community Producer and overall responsibility for Cockpit’s HR function.
The HOO will take responsibility for ensuring compliant staff practices in relation to up-to-date staff contracts, health and safety, maternity and all other relevant HR matters. In association with the CEO and Financial Controller, the HOO will manage and record annual leave.
The HOO will work with the Studio Managers to ensure good Maker welfare and be responsible for policies that result in positive outcomes in relation to the Cockpit community.
The HOO will liaise with the CEO and advise on risks in the HR area and will sit on the People Committee of Cockpit.
The HOO will evaluate when HR risk requires external advice and will agree any necessary actions with CEO.
The HOO will be responsible for the Staff Handbook, The Trustee Handbook, Maker Welcome Pack/Handbooks and all relevant compliance materials for updating and circulation, including all company policies.
Working with the CEO, the HOO will manage the Risk Register and update the Board in a timely manner on any pertinent and impending changes to that with the potential to impact the charity. The HOO will be a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee (FARCo) of Cockpit.
The HOO will take on responsibility for recruitment practices and onboarding activities for new employees, contractors and trustees.
The HOO will oversee the performance review process, coordinate staff training and be responsible for the training budget.
9 DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
In conjunction with the CEO, the HOO will oversee and implement policies that foster and reflect the charity’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. This may include managing new and existing initiatives, updating policies and undertaking formal reviews. The HOO will champion Cockpit’s diversity objectives at the Board’s People Committee (PeCo).
10 COMMITTEES AND BOARD
The HOO will provide a support role to the CEO on preparation of Board papers and reports. The HOO will coordinate committee meeting dates and circulate them to the members appropriately, with administrative support. The HOO will oversee the minutes for all meetings, working with an external minute taker. The HOO may maintain activity lists and will work with the CEO and the Board of Trustees to ensure exceptional Governance.
11 CEO DEPUTISATION

We are looking for a talented Senior Individual Giving Executive (Retention) to join our Committed Giving Team for 12 Months on a fixed term contract. The role reports into the Senior Individual Manager (Retention) and is responsible for the developing integrated stewardship journeys across committed giving products.

About the Team
The Committed Giving Team is a high achieving team responsible for the acquisition and retention of regular donors. The team work across 3 key areas; Non-dialogue Acquisition, Direct Dialogue Acquisition (Face to Face channels), Stewardship,. The team work closely together with the shared aim of delivering exceptional supporter experience and raising the reliable income the hospital needs to help provide extraordinary care for seriously ill children and their families.
About You
You will be a creative, self-motivated, and organised project manager with experience of working within a diverse, target-driven team. With a keen eye for detail and able to manage multiple projects at once, you will have a direct marketing background, ideally within the charity sector.
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Highly organised and able to work autonomously with little supervision
- Experience of regular giving programmes (ideally both cash direct debit and weekly lottery products)
- Experience in writing campaign briefs (creative, data)
- An analytical and inquisitive mind, with a keen eye for detail
- Exceptional project management skills and excellent time management
- The ability to build and manage great relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A passion for exceptional donor experience

About the role
The NextGen Community Producer will play an integral role at Youth Music shaping and developing our support for young adults, particularly helping them to close the gap between learning and earning in music.
You’ll join us at an exciting time as we look to scale up and enhance our community engagement efforts. Building on the foundations established in phase 1 between 2021-2024, your focus will be on increasing participation, and fostering a more cohesive and active community. Your innovative strategies and passion for supporting young creatives will be key to driving deeper connections among members, and creating a compelling offer for the community.
Day-to-day you’ll be programming national events, workshops and networking opportunities; brokering progression opportunities though Youth Music’s industry partners, and recruiting to paid freelance creative roles. The job will involve managing a variety of relationships with young people, playing a central role in developing and leading the NextGen community strategy, and supporting the development of a new brand and user journey for NextGen community members.
Key responsibilities
Programme Development
- Act as the day-to-day lead and point of contact for the Youth Music NextGen Community, representing their voice internally and externally.
- Devise and implement a clear strategy for the continued growth and development of the NextGen Community, with support from the Engagement team.
- Deliver impactful programmes of activities and support that will progress young people into creative careers, broaden their networks, increase their confidence and create access to new opportunities.
- Develop and grow the NextGen Community brand and visual identity, ensuring a clear offer and user journey for those taking part in Youth Music funded projects, and other potential new members.
- Increase the role the community plays in designing and delivering the NextGen programme, aligning with Youth Music’s wider aims and values around youth voice.
- Increase interaction between NextGen Community members.
Events
- Work with the events team to develop, grow and manage our programme of regular NextGen Community events across the country to bring the community together and showcase their talent.
- Develop and manage our programme of events in London in partnership with Young Guns Network (YGN), taking place in the offices of our music industry partners.
- Grow attendance at all NextGen events, working with our Comms and Marketing team to increase awareness and build the profile of the event series.
- Programme and manage all events within set budgets.
Partnerships
- Build and leverage relationships with partners and networks to enhance the offer for the NextGen Community (such as events, performance opportunities, workshops, studio time, content creation, and exclusive offers etc).
- Manage relationships with key corporate partners (such as Levi’s) to support delivery of the NextGen Community activities.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential partners to approach, and support wider fundraising efforts within the team.
Recruitment
- Lead on NextGen recruitment for NextGen Community Events and the Youth Music Awards, with support from the Engagement Coordinator. e.g. Create briefs for NextGen roles and be their main point of contact.
- Support recruitment for any other Youth Music or partner opportunities created for the NextGen Community. (e.g. gigs, festivals, activations, focus groups, etc).
- Develop the NextGen talent pool, finding new ways to promote and manage this.
- Create and source relevant national music-related opportunities for Youth Music’s ‘opportunities board’.
NextGen Fund
- Support the marketing and promotion of the NextGen Fund.
- Contribute and support NextGen Fund decision panels.
- Work with our Comms team to ensure that content created through the NextGen Fund is showcased on Youth Music’s social and digital channels. E.g. Sound of the Next Generation playlist.
Demonstrate Impact
- Work with the Insights Team to listen and act on feedback from the NextGen Community. This will be via monitoring, research and consultation that informs the ongoing development and design of the NextGen offer.
- Prepare and present reports on the plans, activities and impact of NextGen Community.
- Share our learning internally and externally at panels, conferences, and through written pieces.
Systems and processes
- Capture NextGen membership on Salesforce so that we have a clear understanding of who is in our community.
- Work with the Database Administrator to improve our systems, processes and user journeys.
- Work with the Comms and Marketing team to ensure the Youth Music website represents and serves the needs of the NextGen Community.
Other
