The post holder will co-ordinate the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers based in Wales in a wide range of roles.

The post holder will maximise volunteer contribution to the presence of Terrence Higgins Trust, allow for consultation with service users, test and involve service users and ensure that a high profile is maintained in the wider community.

Based in Wales, the post holder will focus mainly on volunteering in Wales.

Main duties of the role:

1. To recruit, train and support volunteers in Wales to support the work of Terrence Higgins Trust Cymru and appropriately match volunteers to available roles by considering skills, ability and interest.

2. To oversee and maintain quality standards for the recruitment, orientation, interviewing, training, placement, retention and recognition of volunteers Wales.

3. To engage volunteers and service users in their experience of HIV, sexual health and testing services and draw on their feedback to suggest and campaign for service improvements.

4. Working with the Online Peer Support Coordinator (Cymru), to recruit, support and engage volunteers living with HIV to support online peer support programmes across Wales and participation on THT’s online platforms.

5. To support volunteers to ensure health promotion information and guidance is distributed among communities of greatest needs.

NACCOM (No Accommodation Network) is a registered charity, and we provide a service to our (140) members who are frontline organisations based across the UK working together to end destitution amongst people seeking asylum, refugees and migrants with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF). Whilst members’ services are accessible to a range of people with NRPF, their core focus is to provide support to those experiencing destitution who are appeal rights exhausted (ARE). 

The NACCOM membership network is made up of ‘full’ members who provide accommodation to people seeking asylum who have been refused and ‘associate’ members who are organisations that are in support of the aims of NACCOM.  NACCOM brings members together to network, collaborate and share good practice, and also provides resources, support and training to enable members to increase their capacity and empower as many people as possible out of destitution. NACCOM also campaigns for a fair, just and humane asylum and immigration system that doesn’t leave people destitute.

About the role: 

This is a varied role providing vital support to NACCOM and its members. The role includes but not limited to operational duties such as the day-to-day running of the general (remote) office, updating software systems, minute taking for regular meetings, financial administration tasks.  As well as network development administration support including new membership application administration and providing administrative support for our member events.

About you: 

We are looking for an experienced Administrator who is well-organised and has strong attention to detail.  You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and enjoy working as part of a small but very busy team.  You will provide flexible, responsive, and efficient administration support. You will be comfortable working from home and have a strong ability to manage your own time and tasks efficiently. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operational administration support 

• Being the first point of contact by responding to incoming phone calls and general office emails. 

• Provide administrative support to the Director and other members of the team as agreed with the Finance and Operations Manager. 

• Assist with financial administration by ensuring receipts are collected and recorded for staff/trustee/volunteer expenditures. 

• Provide admin support for the monthly credit card reconciliation. 

• Update the NACCOM database as required. 

• Assist with the preparation of papers and minute-taking for team meetings, trustee sub-committee meetings and other internal/staff meetings where required. 

• Work to uphold NACCOM’s policies and procedures, in particular its Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding policies. 

Network administration support 

• Provide administrative support to the Network Development team in the delivery of exceptional support to the membership network. 

• Ownership of the membership application process from start to end. 

• Organising and managing the diary of NACCOM events across the year, including monthly members’ calls, member hub meetings (online/in-person) and the Annual Conference.  This includes contributing and sending out event agendas, booking venues/Zoom, booking catering, managing invites, updating the participants’ list, creating delegate packs, taking minutes and recording feedback.

• Maintain the online member resources and platforms and assist with updating website content. 

• Day-to-day responsibility for member communications, including management of the communication forums. 

• Maintain up to date records and permissions from members and update the database and online Member Directory. 

• Assisting with annual survey administration.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Work closely with colleagues in the Readycall team to ensure the Readycall service meets its contractual obligations to funders.

2. Recruit, train and support volunteers to deliver a range of tailored practical support and social options for service users.

3. Be the first point of contact for service user referrals for people living with cancer:

a. liaise with the referrer to review the service user’s needs

b. visit the service user to assess and confirm needs and complete a risk assessment

c. establish a baseline of the service user’s current status/needs and develop an action plan

d. define the tailored support to be provided based on the service user’s diagnosis and treatment plan

4. Arrange support for the service user based on their needs. This could include:

a. help with essential shopping

b. matching with a befriending volunteer for home visits or trips out

c. subsidised transport to cancer-related appointments

d. attending the monthly cancer support group

5. Ensure that service user and volunteer data is processed and recorded in line with GDPR requirements.

6. Set up and host monthly cancer support groups, sourcing speakers and arranging activities.

7. Liaise with Connex’s Car Scheme service to arrange subsidised transport for cancer-related journeys

8. Schedule regular reviews with service users to assess progress against tailored action plans.

9. Support people living with cancer to access digital health apps and support relevant to their treatment and condition.

Carers Voice Norfolk & Waveney is a user-led charity providing the independent voice of Carers in the way their services are designed, developed and delivered. We work closely with Norfolk County Council and the commissioned countywide support service for Carers, Carers Matter Norfolk.

Coproduction is central to everything we do at Carers Voice. Carers are ‘experts’ through their lived experience and Carers Voice works to ensure Carers are able to influence change regarding the services, policies and decisions that affect them and the people they care for. Coproduction is an equal relationship between people who use services and people responsible for services. Decision making is shared in planning, design, delivery and monitoring.

The role will be carried out mainly in weekday office hours and can be flexible to suit the right person. Very occasional evening and weekend work will be required. The role will predominantly involve working from home. Equipment such as mobile phone and laptop, will be supplied. Main purpose of the role:

We are looking for a Meetings Co-ordinator to join our team.

Are you a great communicator, with first-class organisational skills, and experience of co-ordinating meetings?

Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport, empathise and build trust with Carers from diverse backgrounds.

The Meetings Co-ordinator will lead the co-ordination and development of the five Local Carer Involvement Meetings and be responsible for facilitating/ chairing these meetings.  These meetings are an opportunity for Carers to share their experiences and to come together with practitioners to co-produce solutions to gaps in support. The role involves supporting a network of unpaid Carers in Norfolk & Waveney. You will be helping Carers to have a say on issues that matter to them; strengthening the ‘Carers Voice.’ You will play a key role in outreach, engagement and advocacy, to ensure that Carers Voices are heard.

Main Relationships:

The role will maintain effective connections with: Carers and Past Carers (individuals and groups), Co-production & Project Officer, Membership & Administration Officer, Adult Social Services Operational Business Lead and integrated health and care practitioners, service providers and user-led groups and VCSE organisations and statutory bodies such as Healthwatch Norfolk.

Tasks:

1. Networks / Community Development

1. Lead (operationally) the coordination and development of five Local Carer Involvement Meetings to give Carers a space to share their voice in the design, delivery and evaluation of services and support which affect them, ensuring Carers feel heard and supported.

2. Chair the five Local Carer Involvement Meetings quarterly, providing organisational and facilitation support, including aspects of administration (setting and distributing notes, agendas and documentation and taking forward and reporting back on actions). Minute taking will be provided by another member of staff whenever possible.

3. Develop the membership of Locality Networks to ensure good representation from Carers, Carer peer support groups, practitioners, service managers and commissioners.

4. Building networks between local services and Carers. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, social services agencies, and community organisations.

5.  Provide a quarterly report on the Local Carer Involvement Meetings to the County Wide Partnership Board and wider Integrated Care System

Their experience means they are linked in and familiar with services for Carers across the County.

Rainbow Migration, the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system, is recruiting a Casework Coordinator to deliver support services to people seeking asylum on the basis of their sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or sex characteristics.

Rainbow Migration has been supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and campaigning for their rights since 1993. We now have an opportunity for a Casework Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in helping women seeking asylum on the basis of their sexual orientation improve their ability and resilience to cope with the challenges they face and build support networks.

This role will receive full training and support as required to deliver your responsibilities, including:

· Facilitating regular support group meetings of women who are seeking asylum on the basis of their sexual orientation

· Providing one-to-one emotional and practical support primarily to LBTQI+ women who are seeking asylum

· Assisting service users to access health services and accommodation

· Ensuring service users access quality legal representation

· Sharing your knowledge and experience by providing advice, guidance and training to other organisations working with LGBTQI+ people who are seeking asylum

This position requires that you are a lesbian or bisexual cisgender or trans woman and are comfortable discussing and disclosing your sexual orientation in a professional context with service users. Non-binary people are also welcome to apply for this role if you believe that your lived experience sufficiently closely aligns with that of women and girls.

Hours: Full-time (35 hours a week). Working part-time (minimum 21 hours a week) or job-sharing will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £30,236 FTE with potential annual step increases up to £33,899 (pro rata if working part-time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, the trustees consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. Today, Ochil Tower School is a thriving educational and residential community, where 27 children and young people, aged 8-21, with special and complex additional support needs live, learn and grow together.

The School provides excellent care and education and is not short on ambition. In October 2018, it opened a new Life Skills Centre. OTS is now focussed on extending the residential provision to 52 weeks. The Board of Trustees have a commitment to further enhancing and developing their residential houses and plans to build new educational facilities for the school.

Ochil Tower School is now looking for a Head of Care who will form a key part of the Leadership Team, working under a highly experienced and dynamic Executive Director.  The Head of Care would be effective in collaborating with the education team, parents and carers and a range of other partners to meet the needs of our children and young people. 

The Head of Care will liaise with members of the school community primarily but will link in with other residential schools and with other external agencies to ensure that the service remains responsive to need, is professional in approach and in line with National Care Standards, as well as Government initiatives regarding residential and day care for children and young people.  The successful candidate will undertake the day-to-day strategic leadership and management of the residential team and ensure effective systems are in place for policies, procedures and monitoring. You should have significant experience of working successfully in a leadership role with proven experience of leading and supporting the development and delivery of operational strategies and associated action plans.

As well as all the skills required of a senior manager, you will need to have a commitment to and respect for the Camphill ideology.
