Summary
The newly scoped CEO role in our vision-focussed charity is one of many challenges. Despite having doubled its outputs in the last 2 years, the charity acknowledges there is still a great job of work to do to prepare itself for even greater demand in its services - without necessarily a proportionate increase in its budgets. This role is about leading and enabling the incredible team of people on to even greater levels of already-strong performance. So we're looking for an accomplished leader and not just a great manager. We're looking for someone who can lead from both the front - and from within. This will be someone who is as comfortable sitting and engaging with our beneficiaries - primarily homeless people and those with previous convictions, as they are creating and delivering highly polished, compelling public event and funder and stakeholder-focussed presentations. We are looking for someone who understands the balance of external and internal focus required to ensure both good governance and team wellbeing (as they work in often challenging circumstances) and the ambition to keep developing existing and new external partnerships. With a strong start to its ambitious Corporate Partnership programme, commercial and/or business experience is highly desirable as well as a proven track record in creating and optimising new funding channels.

Organisationally, we are phenomenally lucky to have amazingly talented and committed team of staff that consistently deliver innovation, impact, and success. If this sounds like you, you will be joining a reputable organisation with exceptional leadership and a growing network, where you will have the opportunity to expand and develop a dynamic team. This is a hugely exciting new role, where your key responsibilities would include: developing, leading and implementing a fundraising strategy focusing on unrestricted and core income growth; cultivating and strengthening relationships with existing and new donors, with an initial focus on corporate partnerships; managing fundraising campaigns and donor touchpoints, providing excellent stewardship and cultivation.

Prostate Cancer UK is the largest men’s health charity in the UK. We have a simple ambition – to stop prostate cancer damaging lives. We invest millions in research to revolutionise testing, treatment and care. We're committed to righting health inequalities across the UK, starting with those faced by Black men who are at double risk. This includes ground-breaking research into Black men's risk and working with communities directly to overcome barriers to the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.
Therefore, we’re particularly interested in applications from those from marginalised and vulnerable communities. This will help us create an environment of inclusion where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work, where personal qualities are as important as professional experience, and our people feel seen and heard.

You may have thought that leprosy is an ancient Biblical disease, but today someone is diagnosed with leprosy every two minutes. It is a disease of poverty, striking the most vulnerable. Stigma and discrimination mean many people with leprosy hide their symptoms for as long as possible, living in terrible fear of what will happen to them. But without fast treatment, leprosy can cause blindness and disable hands and feet.
Rejection, isolation, hopelessness. We believe that this is not how God wants people to live. Will you join us to help end leprosy?
The Leprosy Mission (TLM) is the world’s largest leprosy-focused organisation, a pioneer in our field, with over 150 years’ experience serving people affected by this disease. We are a leading international development charity, working in nine countries across Africa and Asia. We are Christ-centered, following His leading to defeat leprosy and transform lives.
We are looking for an inspirational leader to develop and deliver fundraising plans in Scotland, and to provide excellent care for faithful Scottish supporters. You’ll be working from home, with extensive travel across Scotland.

We’re looking for:
- A relational public speaker, experienced in engaging audiences including churches, community groups and businesses
- Proven success in fundraising
- A confident networker
- Experience of managing volunteers

- The ability to develop and deliver a fundraising strategy.
TLM is an explicitly Christian charity, serving people of all faiths and none. There is a genuine occupational requirement for the Scotland Country Head to be a committed Christian as you will be preaching and speaking in supporting churches.
A valid UK driving license is an essential requirement for the role. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a work health questionnaire.
TLM has a zero-tolerance policy towards any abuse, neglect and exploitation of all people. Successful candidates are expected to understand, sign, and comply with all organisational policies, including the Safeguarding Code of Conduct and the Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults Policy. Recruitment to all roles within TLM includes criminal record checks and the collection of relevant references.
