We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, qualified SEND Teacher to join us on our ambitious journey. Your day to day role will include delivering creative and person-centred lessons to up to 8 learners in a pre-formal class.

Your role:
- Provide excellent delivery, teaching and course leadership to learners across TreeHouse School.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and young people we support.
- Work with pupils to ensure they receive a service that delivers the outcomes specified in their individualised learning, person-centred plans.
- Prepare and deliver schemes of work, lesson plans, assignments and assessments in line with departmental and awarding body requirements.
- Work collaboratively with allied health professionals as part of a trans-disciplinary team.
Our learners are mostly pre-verbal or use assistive communication systems to make their needs understood and follow different pathways depending on their needs and strengths, these are pre, semi and formal and you can read more on our website.

Background to the role
The voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector is an integral part of local health and care systems. VCSE organisations deliver key services that support the health and wellbeing of the population. In addition, they contribute vital insight and intelligence on the needs of the people and communities they engage with and are frequently a route to engaging with communities themselves.
There is a drive through Buckinghamshire’s local mental health partnership forum to replicate and build upon the successes of the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West (BOB) VCSE Health Alliance and the Buckinghamshire VCSE Mental Health Response Group that was established at the start of the Covid pandemic.
Community Impact Bucks has been commissioned by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust to:
- increase the awareness of VCSE organisations that deliver support to people who have or are at greater risk of poor mental health, with a focus on community Opportunity Bucks wards and health inequalities
- bring those organisations together through an alliance-based approach and
- help build relationships between the NHS and VCSE that ensure sustainable mental health services are provided to the people of Buckinghamshire.
About you
You will bring passion and energy to make a difference to mental health partnerships in Buckinghamshire. You will enjoy bringing people together, building consensus and bridging differences in organisational culture and power.
A natural collaborator, you will have the ability to establish credibility and maintain relationships with colleagues from front line staff to very senior stakeholders.
You will have a clear understanding of the role and potential of the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector within the health and social care system, and an awareness of the local, regional and national health and care agenda from a VCSE perspective.
Key responsibilities
- Provide VCSE representation, attending and presenting to Integrated Care System/Integrated Care Partnership (ICS/ICP) Board meetings, events and other information sharing forums. Enable and co-ordinate other VCSE leaders to represent the sector at such meetings.
- Advocate for the VCSE sector, encouraging ICS partners to consider new and innovative approaches to working closely with the sector to support the mental health needs of people of all ages in Buckinghamshire.
- Undertake and maintain mapping to identify and engage VCSE organisations supporting people with mental ill health or improving mental health outcomes, including through addressing inequalities and the wider determinants of mental health.
- Develop and provide mechanisms for VCSE partners to collaborate on addressing shared priorities in relation to poor mental health, with alignment to the work of the BOB VCSE Alliance and with health and care strategies and plans.
- Build VCSE organisations’ capacity to take part in procurement and/or bid opportunities, including short-term opportunities and more sustained activities, working with partners and national bodies to identify additional opportunities and resources, and drafting bids if required.
- Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of the project, ensuring it meets contractual obligations, operates within budget and achieves the desired impact.
Key requirements
- Experienced in working with the VCSE sector, ideally in the context of improving mental health and wellbeing outcomes.
- A track record of successful partnership working and relationship building with key stakeholders within the health and care system and VCSE sector.
- Ability to assimilate complex information quickly and communicate (written and verbal) effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent persuasion, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Competent user of databases and the Microsoft suite of software.
- Either Full British driving licence and access to private means of transport or ability to demonstrate how you will meet this requirement.

Job Purpose and scope
Legacies is an exciting key area of growth for St Luke’s Hospice.
A wonderful opportunity has arisen to join our fundraising team, as a Legacy and In-Memory Fundraiser. This is a key role in the development of our legacy programme for existing and new supporters, in order to increase income from legacies and to grow our pipeline of legacy prospects.
You will report into the Individual Giving Manager to generate income for St Luke’s by leading on a legacy strategy, building and maintaining legacy partnerships and providing excellent supporter care. You will develop and implement our legacy marketing plans to engage clinicians, volunteers and retail staff with the importance of our legacy work. You will manage a growing pool of legacy prospects and pledgers, recording and tracking donor metrics. You will also be responsible for promoting and actively marketing our in-memory offering, and sourcing compelling and engaging case studies for marketing purposes.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for legacy fundraising and can promote the difference gifts in wills make to our cause. We want legacies to become embedded in normal, regular conversations with our supporters, and to make it easy for people to give, if they so choose. You will play a key role in helping St Luke’s Hospice foster a legacy fundraising culture to ensure future growth for our charity.

The Supporter-led Fundraising (SLF) Department at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for mass fundraising through enabling individuals, communities and companies to support ARUK through their own talents and passions. As well as driving registrations and income through third party, virtual and mass participation events and managing these relationships to maximise income.
In this role you will be the face of our friendly and passionate Online Fundraising Team; building relationships with supporters who use online channels, new technologies or digital assets to fundraise. You will support the Senior Online Fundraising Officer and Senior Manager with the development of online fundraising products and will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of projects.
You will be at the forefront of the fundraising sector as it develops; you will proactively research and propose new areas of growth, you will help spot potential and trends in new areas of online fundraising and be willing to adapt to this quickly changing area.
You will take responsibility to ensure the smooth integration of our online fundraising systems across ARUK including adding accurate details to our database, tracking and monitoring income, responsibility for online donation platforms, as well as general administrative duties in the office.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Account Management and strategic support
· Support the Senior Online Fundraising Officer (SOFO) and Senior Manager (SM) in delivering the Online Fundraising strategy and increase income within this revenue stream
· Proactively identify, plan and manage opportunities to grow charitable income via digital assets (e.g. Crypto), Meta challenges, online donation platforms and other new avenues
· Successful account management of third-party suppliers, keeping up to date with changes to systems and platforms
· Work closely with other teams (e.g. Corporate, Philanthropy, Policy) to establish ARUK as a leading charity within the digital assets space
· Work with the Digital Team to identify new potential fundraising platforms and ensure fundraising opportunities are not missed
· Proactively research opportunities to work with organisations in the Online Fundraising Space, developing propositions and delivering top level account management to Online Corporate Partners with the support of the SOFO
· Work with SOFO / SM to develop budgets and targets for key areas of work.
Supporter Management/Experience
· Provide excellent customer service to fundraising supporters (maintaining a polite, enthusiastic manner with prompt responses to enquiries), to acknowledge support and increase long-term loyalty
· Deliver proactive and innovative outreach to potential supporters in online spaces
· Keep up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice to be able to provide relevant advice to fundraisers
· Represent charity in appropriate manor at in-person and online events, with willingness to network and encourage new support.
Project Management
· To manage the delivery of successful online fundraising challenges and campaigns, including day to day project management, agreeing budgets with SOFO/SM, internal briefing, merchandise orders, data and financial tracking
· To work in collaboration with the Marketing, Digital and Communications teams to ensure that challenges and campaigns are promoted effectively
· To develop and deliver process enhancements with the SOFO / SM to allow the team to maintain high performance as the number of supporters grows.
Monitoring and Reporting
· Ensure that supporter activity and fundraising outcomes are monitored and evaluated, clearly communicating progress to SOFO / SM
· Undertake reviews and feedback to teams to highlight success, improvements and inform future planning
· Manage relevant information on the charity’s CRM, keeping detailed, up-to-date records of activity and income.
Creativity and Trend Hunting

The Role
As the Executive Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing administrative support for all aspects of the role of the Managing Director who leads on Fundraising, Marketing and Communications. This role is crucial in focusing on:
- Managing the inbox of the MD, to ensure emails are responded to in a timely manner to all internal and external communications.

About the role
This is a diverse role and will offer scope to develop and lead specific projects that fulfil strategic ambitions of the research, support and influencing directorate. The main 4 areas of the role are to:

We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated person to join our team and someone who brings a strong background in scientific research and grant management. You’ll have a degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience, with knowledge of research grants management. You’ll also be able to demonstrate independently managing and prioritising complex projects, showing an ability to navigate multiple tasks.
A PhD in a relevant scientific field is desirable, as well as experience working with and supporting high-level scientific committees. Familiarity with operating databases and engaging in patient and public involvement in research would also be a plus.
In addition to your technical expertise, you should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to foster effective working relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders. You’ll have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to understand complex scientific information. You’ll also be adaptable and prepared to travel occasionally for conferences and meetings.
Your commitment to the values and methods of the voluntary sector, combined with your ability to quickly absorb new information and pay attention to detail, will make you a valuable asset to our organisation.

Thames21 is a leading environmental charity, working across London and the Thames Basin to deliver high-impact nature-based solutions to the climate and biodiversity crisis through restoring rivers, whilst also connecting communities to their local green-blue spaces and inspiring long-term stewardship of them.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled River Skills Officer to join the EMPOWER Rivers team working on our projects in London and the Thames Basin. This role offers an opportunity for the post holder to lead on the delivery and development of Thames21’s environmental training programme, which aims to empower communities to take independent action for rivers.
The key skill for this role is the ability to create and deliver inclusive, engaging and inspiring courses that help people understand what makes a healthy river; explore the crucial role that rivers play in our lives; and demonstrate how everyone can be involved in protecting, maintaining and improving London’s blue-green spaces.
The key value for this role is a passion for rivers and learning, coupled with the ability to share that enthusiasm with diverse groups of people, helping them to build their knowledge and skills to enhance London’s blue-green spaces.
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy breaking down complex ideas and processes, making them accessible to a wide range of audiences. You will be comfortable working with people in a variety of settings, mixing theory with practice.
A typical day is likely to involve delivering one of Thames21’s flagship courses, gathering ideas for new training or making tweaks to existing modules; contacting community-led River Action Groups about upcoming activities, or keeping on track with various admin tasks. You might be working from home, at one of our offices in Bow or Guildhall, or at a river taking learners through the practical elements of our work. You could be checking over risk assessments, promoting training opportunities or advising a local community river action group about organising their first session.
You might be creating event listings or updating the web page. You may be working on strategic long-term plans or monitoring project outputs and incorporating learnings into project development. You’ll be thinking both big and small on any given day.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Deliver courses on a range of topics, both indoors, online, and at different blue space locations, ensuring training sessions meet the appropriate standards and learner outcomes.
2. Design training courses, review and contribute to the development of the training programme, and collaborate with other Thames21 staff to create and enhance training initiatives.
3. Ensure that training courses and community-led River Action Groups comply with relevant legislation and Thames21’s policies and procedures
4. Day-to-day management of the training programme, including recruitment, promotion, logistics, learner support, and accreditation process.
5. Provide ongoing advice and support for programme participants following training, encouraging them to set up, organise and deliver volunteering activity in their local community. Including support with monitoring impact, operational plans and receiving and approving Risk Assessments and Method Statements for River Action Group activities to ensure they are covered by Thames21 public liability insurance.
6. Develop and support the Thames21 network of community-led River Action Groups, including linking groups to other community partners, e.g. existing groups, catchment partnerships and other organisations and institutions operating along the catchment
7. Work with EMPOWER Rivers programme manager to coordinate annual River Action Group forum
8. Maintain clear records of progress, ensure all administration and statistical information is kept up to date, and regularly upload information onto the Thames21 database.
9. Represent Thames21 at community events, activities and partnership meetings.
10. Attend internal meetings as required and engage positively with the supervision and appraisal process
11. Work with colleagues to ensure documents and processes for employing Event Support Contractors are appropriate and up to date.

ROLE PURPOSE
This is an exciting new role which will build on an existing programme of supporting patient engagement in research, clinical trial development and clinical trials for lupus at a time of increased interest and activity in this area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery
- Act as the first point of contact for researchers and pharma companies seeking to involve members of the public in their research or trials.
- Work to build a network of patients around the UK with an interest in being involved with PPIE.
- Work with the Health Information Manager to identify and facilitate any support needs of the PPIE network.
- Support and facilitate PPIE in all stages of lupus research.
- Support PPIE in Lupus UK’s research grants process.
- Support engagement with diverse under-served communities.
- Ensure equality, diversity, and inclusion considerations in PPIE methods and communications
Other
- Uphold the values and expectations of LUPUS UK.
- Carry out other duties relevant to your post as reasonably required.
- Occasional evening and weekend working and travel may be required to support our broader activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience of working directly with patients and/or members of the public.
- Experience of supporting Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) activity.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
- Experience of working in PPIE within a similar environment (desirable).
- Experience of working within research or the health sector (desirable).
- Experience of working with stakeholders, such as healthcare organisations, public groups,and professional networks (desirable).
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- A strong understanding of best practice in PPIE within research.
- Knowledge of different types of research and the various stages of the research process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communicationfor diverse audiences.
- A demonstrable commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in allengagement activities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to facilitate focus groups, workshops, and public forums (desirable).
- An understanding of NHS patient care pathways, clinical research processes, or clinicaltrials (desirable).
