Our Advocacy services we provide advocacy direct to children and young people in care, in need, in custody and to care leavers and children and young people with mental health needs. This may be through the telephone helpline or through an advocate working directly with a child, for instance, to support them at a review meeting or to help them make a complaint about their care. Coram Voice provides visiting advocacy services to most of the secure units nationally, to Secure Training Centres, Juvenile Young Offender Institutions, psychiatric hospitals, residential special schools and children’s homes.

About the Role:

You will work directly with care experienced children and young people and those on Child Protection Plans providing them with advocacy support in the community and in a variety of settings.

You will empower and support them to ensure their voices are heard within decision–making processes that effect their lives.

You will be a capable ambassador for Coram Voice with the ability to engage effectively with professionals, carers, other stakeholders and most importantly children and young people.

Role Requirements:

• Proven track record of leadership and management across a range of responsibilities as CEO or similar senior level – ideally gained in a Charity or relevant sector

• Track record in driving and supporting fundraising growth, developing networks and working with funding partners

About the role

The NextGen Programme and Membership Manager will have the following key priorities:

·To actively manage and promote the NextGen initiative, grow the community and develop its offering.

Essential skills and experience:

About the Role

You will be responsible for updating and maintaining the HR database, so it is essential that you have worked on a HRIS, producing regular reports and management information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as first point of contact for system and process queries including holiday, sickness, leavers and internal transfers.
• ‘Technical expert’ for the HR system providing support and coaching to HR colleagues and new users, reporting any required fixes, testing and support continuous development of the HR system.

About You

To be successful in the role of you will need to be proficient in Excel and enjoy producing complex data analytics. You will have great communication skills and be committed to the values of the organisation.

Some of the key skills and experience you will need to bring with you include:

• Experience in working within a human resources team, primarily in areas such as HR systems, management information and HR metrics.
• A working knowledge of HR systems, databases and have worked on a HRIS.

About the organisation

Look Good Feel Better is a national cancer charity devoted to delivering workshops that help people living with a cancer diagnosis to cope with the physical and emotional side effects of their treatment. Delivered by trained volunteers from the beauty industry, the free workshops offer practical advice about changes to skin and hair as well as supporting body confidence and well-being. The Role

The charity is now embarking on a significant growth plan which will see a trebling in the number of beneficiaries supported (from 10,000 to 30,000 within four years). About the Role

As a Care Leavers Employment Project Coordinator for Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN), you will support and manage the development of this project and will co-ordinate, develop and grow this new service.

You will play a crucial role in supporting care leavers aged 21+ on their journey to meaningful employment and independent living by providing employment guidance, resources, and support services with the aim of sustainable employment at our charity with ongoing person-centred support.

You will work closely with care leavers, local authorities, ICB contacts, HMN HR team, HMN senior management team, and other stakeholders to facilitate access to HMN volunteering, shadowing & employment opportunities, training programmes, and career development initiatives. The goal is to empower care leavers to achieve sustainable employment, good mental health and build successful careers at HMN, with the view to develop the service to include partner organisations and other stakeholders where successful careers may be established for care leavers.

The project ethos will be based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, with an awareness that individual differences must not be overlooked, that these needs can be pursued simultaneously, that the theory may not be universally applicable across cultures, and the influence of social, environmental, and structural factors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement programmes and initiatives to support care leavers in their journey to meaningful employment, including job readiness training, CV building, interview preparation, training opportunities and access to an HMN mentor/buddy.
• Join the Care Leaver Covenant and sign up to the Care Leaver Friendly Employer Charter, harnessing the opportunities available to support the project, including the Inclusive Employment Toolkit.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local authorities, ICB colleagues, educational institutions, and community organisations to create opportunities and secure support for care leavers.
• Provide one-on-one support to care leavers, including conducting assessments of their skills, interests, and career goals, and developing individualised employment plans and opportunities to enhance their employability and career prospects.
• Advocate on behalf of care leavers to address any barriers to employment, such as lack of education, training, or work experience, discrimination, mental health challenges, or housing instability.
• Organise and/or facilitate workshops, training, and networking events to enhance the employability skills of care leavers and connect them with potential employment opportunities and mentors.
• Monitor and track the progress of care leavers in securing and maintaining employment and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.
• Maintain accurate records, databases, and reports on the employment outcomes of care leavers, and gather feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of support services and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay informed about relevant policies, regulations, and best practices related to care leavers, employment, and youth services, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to enhance the overall effectiveness and impact of the project.

Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our Birmingham office. At the moment the team typically go into the office once a week on a Wednesday.

As a Housing Domestic Abuse Advocate, you will provide intervention, advocacy, and support to survivors of domestic abuse. You will have your own caseload of survivors who hold social tenancies with local authorities or housing associations, and you will encourage them to engage with our service and ensure they have access to support. About You:

To be successful as the Domestic Abuse Housing Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:

You will bring solid experience of supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse in all its forms; coming from a sector with transferrable skills or possess a feminist/VAWG degree and be keen to learn and to train on the job. You will have a good understanding of violence against women and girls with a particular focus on the dynamics of domestic abuse (physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, so-called ‘honour-based violence’, forced marriage, stalking and harassment) and its impact on women, children, families, and communities. You will have proven skills and experience in conducting comprehensive assessments of needs and risk for survivors experiencing domestic abuse, including carrying out short risk management and safety planning. We will expect that you have experience in assessing the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have and an understanding of the criminal justice system and relevant legislation with regard to legal and civil options, housing, benefits, matrimonial and children. Lastly you will bring your knowledge of safeguarding practice, procedures, and legislation.

With many skills and qualities to add to this role, if you have good IT literacy, data collection and monitoring these skills are maximised in your role. If you have experience or have been trained or are qualified in the fields related  to substance misuse, criminal jusice, law, social work or domestic abuse we would love to hear from you.
