Role Overview
Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and Marketing, the postholder will translate and operationalise the strategic objectives and priorities set out by the Board and Senior Leadership Team. They will develop and deliver integrated marketing and communications plans and maximise our digital assets to enable the charity to deliver its strategic outcomes. Leading the MarComms and Digital teams, the postholder will manage our communication channels, setting the look, feel and tone of our messaging, implement our brand, and ensure all audiences are catered for in our communications.
About You
We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of leading multi-channel marketing strategies and implementing digital strategies to support the organisation’s goals. The post-holder will have strong communication and leadership skills, a collaborative management style, and expertise in building positive relationships with suppliers, agencies and external stakeholders. The ability to influence and manage difficult conversations to achieve mutually satisfying solutions will be crucial in this role. The successful candidate will be highly analytical and data driven and use insight to inform future activities. As this role will involve delivering multiple, high impact cross-organisational projects (often with competing deadlines!) the ability to prioritise, and be focused and adaptable at all times is critical.

Our Location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home, although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings. You will be required to attend meetings in Hatfield/London twice a month, two Directorate days each year and occasional meetings with your team or our partner agencies. In addition, the charity meets four times annually at its office in Hatfield (or a location in London) for its’ ‘All Staff Together’ days, at which attendance is mandatory.

We are seeking two individuals to offer proactive support and information to UCL students who have experienced sexual violence, sexual harassment, gender-based violence and domestic abuse at any point in their lives. The Office for Students have recently introduced a new condition of registration for universities in relation to harassment and sexual misconduct (Condition E6) and this condition with come into force on 1 August 2025. The Advice Service offers a non-judgmental, safe and confidential space for students to seek advice and these Advisors will empower students to make informed choices regarding reporting options and support they wish to access, either through the university or external services.
The role is a full time and permanent contract. This role is also a hybrid working role, where 40% of the role will be on campus based. We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible, and job share basis wherever possible.
Have you got demonstrable experience of working with individuals who have experienced one or more of the following: sexual violence, harassment, gender-based violence and domestic abuse? Have you got understanding of the impact of sexual violence and sexual harassment on survivors, and how to support them with a trauma informed approach? Our ideal candidate will be a point of contact for the Advice Service, providing support to all UCL students (which may also include recent graduates or confirmed students yet to enroll) who have experienced sexual violence, harassment, gender-based violence and domestic abuse. The right candidate will provide high quality and accurate advice and information to students using the Advice Service, through casework, support and advocacy. The successful role holder will proactively stay informed and maintain knowledge of developments in areas impacting casework, including UCL regulations and external policy and legislation changes, to ensure that all advice and information given is up-to-date and accurate.

What can we offer you?
The salary band for this role is £62,000 - £68,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
You will start with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer. We are looking for a collaborative, driven and problem-solving candidate to design and lead our core support projects and improve the way we make life better for people affected by aplastic anaemia.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing team within the AAT. Our team is small, but mighty. Our current S&O team is made up of three part-time support and outreach workers some of whom have lived experience of aplastic anaemia. Lived experience is hugely important to us but is not an essential criterion for this role.
As part of the Senior Management Team, you will bring the process, structure and programme-oriented approach to our successful range of support services. You will be helping to give people living with aplastic anaemia access to better information, better networks and better ways to advocate for themselves.
This opportunity is for a permanent contract, starting immediately. You will work 35 hours a week, and we encourage flexible working. However, the team does generally operate during core office hours (between 9am to 5pm) and there are regular team meetings on Thursdays.

This role will be part of Cancer Research UK's Programme Office responsible for coordinating and supporting the ECMC Network.
As a Paediatric Research Manager, you will play an essential role in facilitating and delivering the ECMC strategy, bringing together clinicians and translational scientists to deliver early phase clinical trials for children and young people with cancer. Your purpose will be to project manage activities across the network's paediatric initiatives, ensuring robust governance and fostering collaboration to achieve our objectives of improving and expanding life-saving treatment options for paediatric patients. This will involve building relationships and partnering with our paediatric oncology leads and various external stakeholders (e.g., the paediatric oncology community, ECMC funders, industry partners, and other relevant organisations). You will also represent the ECMC at national and international conferences to promote the UK, and particularly the ECMC network, as a premier location for paediatric early phase trials.

What will I be doing?
Project Management:
Providing project management support to paediatric activities across the Experimental Cancer Medicine Centres (ECMC) network.
Supporting the delivery of paediatric projects, such as the ECMC Children and Young People's Data Platform used by clinicians and researchers.
Monitoring project milestones, risks, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with ECMC's strategic objectives.
Maintaining a robust governance framework to support the effective oversight and delivery of the paediatric network's strategy.
This will involve regularly attending, organising, and delivering Paediatric Leadership Forum meetings and the Paediatric Strategy Group (including secretariat duties, agenda creation and taking minutes).
Supporting wider ECMC network and Programme Office activities to enable pan-age approaches across all our research (including paediatric, teenagers, young adults, and adult patients).
Stakeholder Management:
Building strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels (including senior leadership) within the ECMC paediatric network to enable delivery and monitoring of network objectives.
This will involve partnering with clinicians, researchers, academics, research funders, industry partners, and international organisations.
Organising ECMC site visits to foster closer links to paediatric ECMC locations.

What skills will I need?
Project or Research Manager with experience managing projects with overlapping priorities within clinical research or academic environments (e.g., universities, consulting, etc).

As a Paediatric Research Manager, you will play an essential role in facilitating and delivering the ECMC strategy, bringing together clinicians and translational scientists to deliver early phase clinical trials for children and young people with cancer. Your purpose will be to project manage activities across the network's paediatric initiatives, ensuring robust governance and fostering collaboration to achieve our objectives of improving and expanding life-saving treatment options for paediatric patients. What will I be doing?
Project Management:
Providing project management support to paediatric activities across the Experimental Cancer Medicine Centres (ECMC) network.
Supporting the delivery of paediatric projects, such as the ECMC Children and Young People's Data Platform used by clinicians and researchers.
Monitoring project milestones, risks, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with ECMC's strategic objectives.
Maintaining a robust governance framework to support the effective oversight and delivery of the paediatric network's strategy.
This will involve regularly attending, organising, and delivering Paediatric Leadership Forum meetings and the Paediatric Strategy Group (including secretariat duties, agenda creation and taking minutes).
Supporting wider ECMC network and Programme Office activities to enable pan-age approaches across all our research (including paediatric, teenagers, young adults, and adult patients).
Stakeholder Management:
Building strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels (including senior leadership) within the ECMC paediatric network to enable delivery and monitoring of network objectives.
This will involve partnering with clinicians, researchers, academics, research funders, industry partners, and international organisations.
Organising ECMC site visits to foster closer links to paediatric ECMC locations.
Identifying and understanding stakeholder priorities and supporting the Paediatric Impact & Engagement Manager to develop appropriate impact communications.
Providing stewardship for patient and public involvement representatives within the ECMC projects (e.g., Children and Young People's Data Platform Project).
Business Development and Industry Engagement:
Representing ECMC at international conferences, showcasing the network's capabilities and fostering partnerships.
This will involve travelling c.1-2 times per year.
Engaging with other national and international infrastructure to promote collaborative working on commercial opportunities within paediatric oncology.
Supporting the Industry Engagement to collaborate with partners and create early phase clinical trial opportunities for the ECMC paediatric network.
What skills will I need?
Project or Research Manager with experience managing projects with overlapping priorities within clinical research or academic environments (e.g., universities, consulting, etc).
Experience managing, influencing, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels (including senior leadership). This includes:
A proven ability to act diplomatically and build consensus.
An ability to explain oncology, research, and clinical trial concepts to clinical and non-clinical stakeholders while recognising the needs and priorities of the audience.
Ability to adhere to, and advocate, governance and compliance frameworks within a project setting and decision-making.
Demonstrable ability to translate strategic objectives into implementation plans and inform decision making.

About the role
As the Child and Youth Participation Advisor, you will be part of the Child and Youth Participation team, which supports children and young people—particularly those from refugee and diaspora communities—in driving change across our campaigning, fundraising, communications, and governance efforts.
In this role, the Advisor will work on a variety of projects involving children and young people, including managing the Young Peacemakers' Assembly, leading key external partnerships, and developing new participation opportunities for schools and young campaigner networks. A key focus will be ensuring that engagement is sensitive and appropriate, particularly when working with children and young people who may have direct experience of conflict or displacement.
The Advisor will deliver projects both within the Child and Youth Participation team and in collaboration with colleagues across the organisation. This includes contributing expertise in child and youth participation within our cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams (known as squads), ensuring best practices are followed and that participation is safe, ethical, and meaningful.
In this role, you will:
• Lead engagement with the Young Peacemakers' Assembly, a group of young people from refugee and diaspora communities who work together to create campaigns. You may also work with other groups of children and young people, such as the Youth Advisory Board, Scouts, schools, young campaigner networks, and external partners, working closely with colleagues across teams.
• Plan and run projects that enable children and young people to actively participate in Save the Children's work.
• Design and deliver engaging activities, workshops, training, and events tailored for children and young people.
• Support and advise colleagues on best practices in child participation, including developing and delivering internal training and resources.
• Ensure all projects follow safeguarding policies and risk assessment processes to keep children safe.
• Manage communication with children involved in projects, including handling inboxes, obtaining consent, and gathering feedback to improve participation.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
• Experience working with diverse groups of young people in a professional or voluntary role, engaging them in campaigning, fundraising, programs, governance, or education to drive change. Ideally you will have direct experience of working with young people from refugee and diaspora communities.

About the role
We’re looking for a Governance Officer with strong experience in corporate governance and administrative processes to join our Corporate Assurance team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective operation of Young Lives vs Cancer’s governance processes. This includes coordinating Board and committee meetings, preparing agendas and documentation, minuting meetings, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also act as the main point of contact for Trustees and committee members, managing their records, overseeing recruitment and inductions, and maintaining governance policies and procedures.
This role does not have direct reports but requires excellent relationship-building skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will work closely with the Associate Director of Corporate Governance and Assurance, Trustees, and senior leadership to enhance governance efficiency.
