To succeed in this position, you’ll need significant experience in SQL, Excel and PowerBI, as well as knowledge of statistical packages, preferably Apteco FastStats or equivalent. This role demands comfort in collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams with potentially opposing objectives. Your ability to derive recommendations and present complex technical data and analysis to a non-technical audience will be essential.

Since 2004 the MS Therapy Centre (NW) (MSTC) has been supporting those with Multiple Sclerosis to lead more positive, enriched lives by providing complimentary therapies, Oxygen treatment, support and wellbeing services. You will be part of a multi-agency team providing person-centered support focusing on holistically addressing a range of personal wellbeing issues faced by service users referred by the Probation Service. Interventions will focus on addressing the following:
- Support around families and other significant relationships
- Support to reduce social isolation and improve decision-making/lifestyle choices
- Support with emotional wellbeing
- Provide through the gates support for those leaving prison.
You will be part of a comprehensive name of the team/function service delivering across St Giles Trust that is mindful of, and promotes our Vision, Mission, Values, and strategic aims.

The role involves supporting the management of HMPPS Contracts delivering Personal Wellbeing services across Wales, based in Wrexham with frequent travel. It requires managing a team, ensuring compliance with performance indicators, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
(1) Key Deliverables
- Provide operational management across one or more contracts awarded by the HMPPS to deliver Personal Wellbeing services in Wales.
- Provide leadership and operational management to a team of Personal Wellbeing Coaches (PWBC) and Peer Advisor volunteers employed in the delivery of the contracts.
- Set performance objectives with PWBC’s and monitor progress ensuring compliance with contractual performance indicators and quality improvement, ensuring St Giles Wise partnership meets all its targets and outcomes.
- Monitor and manage all aspects of delivery and performance to ensure compliance with policy and procedures including safeguarding of staff, service users and the wider public.
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with local Wales Probation managers and staff as well as other external stakeholders e.g. prison managers, ensuring communication channels are positive and effective.
- Manage partnerships including local and national delivery partners, spot purchase providers and any agencies with whom we are developing referral arrangements.

Policy Manager role description
You will report to the Head of Policy and Research and be part of a small but growing sub-team leading on our policy advocacy work and winning and delivering water efficiency research projects.
Key responsibilities in the role include:

The arts can enrich learning experiences, increasing young people’s engagement in school and learning and supporting key educational outcomes. The arts can also unlock potential by helping young people to develop skills in critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and problem-solving. In addition, engaging with the arts supports young people’s communication, empathy and emotional wellbeing.
Through our Arts’ Education funding we support arts/cultural organisations and education settings to work in partnership to explore how the arts can enrich the lives of children and young people and develop the professional practice of teachers.
In addition to our grant-making the Arts Education team supports a range of learning activities for grant-holders. This includes a formal Cohort Learning Programme for organisations involved in the Teachers Development Fund and informal online learning and networking events for organisations in the Arts-based Learning Fund portfolio.
What will be my main contribution?
As a Grants Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact between applicant organisations and Paul Hamlyn Foundation, undertaking enquiry calls, assessing applications and making funding recommendations to our decision-making panel. You will work closely with funded organisations in the Arts-based Leaning and Teacher Development Fund. There is a current portfolio of c 50 live grants that you will manage and be the key point of contact for. You will build strong relationships with funded organisations, responding to emerging needs and supporting them to achieve their growth and development goals.

Main Responsibilities
· Alignment with the values and aims of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, and in particular its commitment to social justice and equality, to tackling disadvantage, fighting prejudice, supporting youth voice and participation.
Grant-making and Management
· Provide a prompt and helpful service to potential applicants enquiring about the Foundation’s work.
· Work alongside the team to identify potential applicants and approaches to enable them to apply to the Youth Fund.
· Assess grant applications, analysing their alignment with the Funds’ criteria and priorities, quality and potential impact, and organisational viability; participate in discussions with the team to benchmark applications; reach a judgement or recommendation for submission to senior staff, decision-making panels and/or Trustees; and handle relationships throughout the process until the application is either successful or declined.
· Prepare written reports with detailed analysis and recommendations to present at decision-making panel meetings.
· Manage and monitor a portfolio of grants awarded including agreeing appropriate goals; reflecting on learning, impact and challenges; reviewing reports, managing risk; responding to emerging issues and needs, and authorising and generating grant payments in a timely fashion.
· Support the Head of Programme to review and improve our grant-making processes to ensure that they are accessible and do not perpetuate existing structural inequalities.
· Maintain grants database (Blackbaud Grantmaking) – ensuring that records are accurate and reporting and payments are completed to schedule so that we know the status of applications and awarded grants at any time and can better analyse and learn from our portfolio.
· Develop opportunities to provide non-financial support to funded organisations, work with colleagues to convene learning events, identify potential content, prepare materials and facilitate networking.
· Carry out visits to funded organisations to learn more about the work and its impact in context. Travel may be local or national across the UK.

Terms and conditions

About the Role
The primary focus of the Grants Officer is to support schools and youth organisations to operate the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme effectively and to promote, grow and deliver this and other Jack Petchey Foundation (JPF) grant programmes across London and Essex. Although the geographical remit of each Grants officer can change on occasion, it is anticipated that this role will be responsible for the London Boroughs across North West and South West London, plus uniform youth groups who deliver their activities cross-borough.
The Achievement Award scheme is JPF’s flagship programme, with almost 2000 schemes in over 1400 schools, colleges and youth organisations across London and Essex. Evening and weekend work is a requirement to meet the demands of this role, which on occasion can require up to 2-3 out of hours events in one week, depending on the event schedule. These are seasonal events, primarily during term-time and time off in lieu will be granted for additional hours worked.

Main Areas of Responsibilities
The Grants Officer will support schools and youth organisations to operate the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme.
The primary duties are:
1 To develop, manage and promote the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme and other JPF opportunities.
1.1. Identify schools and youth organisations not currently running the scheme and proactively promote the Achievement Award (AA) scheme to them, following up as required.
1.2 Receive, assess and process all grant applications to join the AA scheme, in accordance with JPF policies and procedures.
1.3 Attend, participate and assist with delivery of Achievement Award celebration events (usually evenings with some weekends), including making a speech to congratulate the young people.
2 Quality Assurance for the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme
2.1 Develop relationships with and support schools, alternative provision, and youth organisations on the Jack Petchey Achievement Award (AA) scheme to operate the scheme to the highest possible standard.
2.2 Provide timely support to such organisations to enable them to run the AA scheme effectively.
2.3 Implement a strategic approach to conducting face-to-face and digital assessment and monitoring visits to schools and youth organisations in your area on the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme, to ensure that JPF funding is well spent and to identify opportunities to improve delivery.
2.4 Organise and deliver digital and in-person training and/or sessions to support schools and youth organisations to operate the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme effectively.
3 Administer the Jack Petchey Foundation grant making process
3.1 Ensure accurate records are kept on the Foundation’s database (Salesforce), including up-to-date contact details and records of communication with groups in receipt of or applying for grants.
3.2 Approve/authorise payment of AA grants and related programmes in accordance with JPF policies.
3.3 Ensure appropriate grant reporting by schools and youth organisations and negotiate the return of funds where a grant has not been used in accordance with conditions.
3.4 Proactively manage risk, being alert to potential fraud.
3.5 Ensure that clubs and groups receive all necessary materials to operate the Achievement Award scheme effectively.
3.6 Assess and approve Leader Award Grant, Educational Visit Grant and Environmental Grant applications in accordance with JPF policy.
3.7 Assess applications for Leader Award Grants, Educational Visit Grants and Environmental Award Grants in accordance with JPF policy, with recommendations put forward to Grants Manager and Head of Grants team.
3.8 Provide regular updates on your work and Grants Officer patch to the Head of Grants team as required.
4 To promote the wider work of the Jack Petchey Foundation to schools and youth groups
4.1 Identify case studies and other stories and material that can be used for JPF communications, supporting communications team colleagues to raise awareness of our opportunities and impact.
4.2 Represent JPF at digital and physical events, local networks, funders’ fairs, and community or young people’s forums to help promote JPF’s small grant programmes and other opportunities.
4.3 Support and promote JPF’s partnership programmes to organisations on the Achievement Award Scheme, for example the Jack Petchey’s Speak Out Challenge, Step into Dance, Panathlon and First Give.
4.4 Assist with digital and face-to-face monitoring and reporting in relation to groups that have received a JPF Project Grant or other JPF funding. To promote the wider work of the Jack Petchey Foundation to schools and youth groups
5 Other Responsibilities
5.1 Actively contribute to Grants Team and JPF Team meetings.
5.2 Take a lead on specific projects as agreed with Head of Grants Team.
5.3 Contribute to the assessment of other small grant programmes as requested by the Head of Grants Team.
5.4 Provide telephone/email support and advice about JPF funding streams to existing grantees or potential applicants.

Asset managers, insurance companies and banks hold a huge amount of influence over the world’s largest companies through their investment, lending and underwriting activities. While many of these financial institutions publicly claim to be taking environmental and social issues seriously, often, these claims do not hold up to scrutiny.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within our person-centered charity, where you'll support managers and teams across Cheshire as they help young people and families in our supported accommodation navigate challenging times.
It will be your role to lead, inspire and embed a culture that is aligned with the vision and values of P3 Charity.
You will have an understanding of the new Ofsted Regulations for supported accommodation and either be registered as an RSM or show a willingness and commitment to become the registered service manager for our North services.

About the role:
These roles are offered on a hybrid working basis, 1 day per week in the office and other days working from home. You will also be required to attend London Courts to deliver pre-trial visits. As an Independent Witness Advocate you will:
- lead on providing pre-trial, outreach & post-trial support for witnesses; ensuring their pre and post-trial needs are assessed and a plan for support is put in place so they can attend court to give their best evidence
- provide advocacy, support in court, and emotional/practical support around their physical, mental, social or financial wellbeing
- liaise with criminal justice partners to ensure witnesses are kept up to date with arrangements for attendance at court and where applicable, ensure special measures have been granted
- provide practical and emotional support in a way that is approachable, flexible and caring, showing empathy at all times
- need to be tenacious in support of your clients and being able to solve problems and surmount the challenges posed by the criminal justice system

JOB OVERVIEW
Do you want to work for an organisation that makes a real difference, every day, to people from all walks of life? This is an exciting opportunity for someone working in the volunteering or community sector to join the Brent Irish Advisory Service (BIAS) as Volunteer Manager and help take our successful volunteer project to the next level.
BIAS’s volunteer project, funded through a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund, provides meaningful opportunities for people to get involved in BIAS’s work in a number of different ways. Volunteers can help out at our active ageing clubs, or work on administrative projects and other office-based tasks to help them build up their professional skills. In 2023 we also launched a successful ‘Be-A-Friend’ scheme, which aims to connect volunteers with older people who live on their own. Volunteers will drop in regularly for a cup of tea and a chat, providing friendship and companionship to those experiencing loneliness and isolation. BIAS’s volunteer project is currently based in Brent, but it will potentially be rolled out into Haringey in future years.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and empathetic person to take the lead on managing and growing our volunteer project. You will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including volunteer recruitment and induction, service-user relations, safeguarding and partnership development. You will also work with the Operations Manager on forward planning, delivery monitoring, promotion and reporting.
You will need to have strong people skills and the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues, volunteers, service users and partners, along with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently and take initiative. Previous experience of working with volunteers or running community projects would be an asset. KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES
- Working with the Operations Manager to develop and deliver BIAS’s volunteer project.
- Line-managing the Befriending Coordinator and supervising the successful delivery and expansion of the Be-A-Friend scheme.
- Managing volunteer recruitment, interviewing candidates and matching them with appropriate roles.
- Supporting, developing and retaining our current team of volunteers.
- Managing volunteer training needs, ensuring that all necessary safeguarding, health-and-safety and data-protection requirements are met.
- Working closely with colleagues and external organisations to develop working partnerships and explore collaboration opportunities, e.g. intergenerational volunteering projects.
- Organising twice-yearly volunteer social events.
- Promoting and raising public awareness of both BIAS’s volunteering opportunities and the wider importance of volunteering.
- Evaluating and improving the volunteering process and experience.
- Maintaining clear records of volunteer work in BIAS’s client management system.
- Drafting reports and case studies to demonstrate the project’s progress and value.
- Maintaining an awareness of policy changes and best practices in volunteering.
These are the basic duties required of the Volunteer Manager. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. We will also offer training opportunities to support your career development.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. This role will be based primarily in our offices in Willesden (Brent), with travel throughout the borough and potentially some future outreach work in Haringey borough. There may be some options for flexible working following probation (one to two days per week).
ABOUT BIAS
BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. We deliver our support through our welfare advice drop-in service, our Active Ageing Clubs and our Be-a-friend volunteer scheme. We raise over £1.5 million in extra income for the most vulnerable every year and have over 3000 attendances at our club services. BIAS has exciting plans for expansion into Haringey in 2025 and has a range of medium- to long-term grant funding, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.

The Role

You’ll not only help us to get new partners on board, but also play a key role further engaging our existing ones, making sure they stay connected to the work we do. You’ll build strong and trusting relationships that enable us to deliver our consultancy work, securing credibility, influence and impact for our work responding to challenges facing some of our most disadvantaged communities.
What we need
You’ll be as happy in the world of policy and strategy as you are in the day to day reality of practice and delivery and can see the big picture as well as having an attention to detail and the highest of standards when it comes to producing content.
- You’ll be dealing with numbers and often complex data, and are as comfortable being immersed in spreadsheets to put together the budget and costs for a project as you are checking the interdependencies whilst putting together a GANTT chart and project management plan.
- You are a proficient and accomplished communicator. You’re as at home with the written word as you are talking through the key points of a presentation.
- You are an experienced, entrepreneurial and proactive thinker, designer and doer, who can bring creativity, critical thinking and business development skills to the role as we work together in a small 3ni team, as part the wider Capacity organisation, and with the broader ecosystem of partners.
- You’re great at mastering a brief. You’re happy wading through research reports and datasets, and are able to use your brilliant analytical skills to get to the heart of the matter and obtain the key insights and information relevant to our work.
