Purpose of the job/About the role
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate Fundraising Community Coordinator to join our virtual events team. You will play a crucial part in managing the Facebook Groups for our events, ensuring an exceptional experience for our dedicated supporters.
As the Fundraising Community Coordinator you will be responsible for posting on our Facebook Groups, supporting the Virtual Events Assistant to create engaging content that will inspire and uplift our supporters, driving positive interactions within the community. You will actively engage with supporter posts, promptly responding to inquiries, and extend warm welcomes to new members. You will also assist with the development of the supporter experience, including helping to improve fundraising resources, creating FAQ’s and gathering compelling case studies to further drive support. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the whole team, acknowledging donations, and offering an exceptional experience to our event supporters via phone, email and Facebook, becoming a Facebook fundraising expert.
To succeed in this role will have a proven track record of building positive relationships, networking, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will have experience of following processes and have strong organisational and planning skills. Experience in managing Facebook groups and utilising databases will be highly beneficial. The Resident Support Workers/Asset Coaches make up the Resident Support Team (RST). The purpose of the RST is to support people facing the most challenging of circumstances to make positive and lasting changes in their lives. The individuals will be in either temporary accommodation or supported housing (2-year tenancies) which KCAH oversees.
About the role
The Asset Coach will be someone who is passionate about driving change and has a keenness to apply a strength-based approach amongst our service. The Asset Coach will be willing to unlearn the traditional ways of offering support in order to build a positive one-to-one professional relationship that helps individuals to identify and develop their strengths, passions, interests and links to their wider community. The Asset Coach will support, empower and encourage resilience and resourcefulness from within each individual during to achieve strengthened confidence, identity, self-worth, sense of belonging and overall positive outcomes, which in turn can allow for a successful move on to permanent accommodation.
Main Responsibilities
Build an honest and real-world relationship based on mutual respect and observe the dignity of the person at all times. Undertake regular face to face coaching sessions which are casual, led by the individual and result in the creation of a support plan based on their support needs, strengths and interests in the wider community.
Participate in the referrals and interview process for potential tenants.
Provide one-to-one support for a caseload of individuals often facing multiple and complex challenges which includes the recording of relevant data on in-house databases such as Lamplight and other tools.
Participate in case reflections/management, reflective practice and team meetings. Attend training identified in supervision that will enable you to deliver the best service possible.
Identify opportunities and activities for individuals based on their interests, strengths, passions using the support plan including facilitating access and possibly accompanying individuals to these. Coaching sessions, opportunities and activities ideally take place in the wider community and not the ‘homelessness sector’ in order to promote independence, lessen the power imbalance between people and professionals and to normalise experiences.
Encourage the individual to access positive peer support networks and to develop healthy relationships, also ideally outside of the ‘homelessness sector’ in order to promote independent living once such services are no longer accessible to them.
Work with a Person-led and Strength-Based approach; opportunities and activities are identified based on what the individual wants with a focus on strengths and assets as well as development of personal identity, not prescribing solutions based on ‘problems’ or ‘issues`.
Liaise and learn from other Strength-Based projects, partner agencies and external organisations where appropriate.
Be involved in the delivery, organisation and risk assessment of monthly group activities identified by residents.
Maintain and promote the values and principles of the RST both in work with individuals, across KCAH and when building relationships with new organisations.
Maintain in depth and up-to-date knowledge of all KCAH policies and procedures.
Present a professional image of KCAH at all times.
Comply with all legal and health and safety requirements including safeguarding procedures.
Ensure that all safeguarding incidents and/or concerns are dealt with sensitively and professionally in line with KCAH policy and procedures, including the recording of all relevant information.
Desirable: Have a thorough understanding of a strength-based, person-led approach, and an overall belief that all people have skills, gifts and strengths.

Exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a world renowned international humanitarian charity during a time of growth and expansion. The successful individual will play a central role in helping the organisation be more effective and efficient. You will work towards these ambitions through developing and implementing changes to finance processes and systems. This will be achieved by leading on a portfolio of improvement projects. In addition, the role-holder will use their skills in Excel, accounting software and reporting to provide ad hoc support to the finance team by identifying and implementing iterative improvements to finance processes and systems where needed.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Design of an effective and sustainable process for a purchase to pay procedure, which includes the payments of expenses and credit cards (seeking significant improvements to current procedures).
- Developing a business case for possible new systems which may be required to deliver new procedures.
- Working with the fundraising team to improve the flow of data between the fundraising database and finance system, including ensuring the coding structure is fit for purpose.
- Commission a review of tax and residency compliance for payrolled staff by working with HR and extemal advisors.
- Assist with embedding knowledge of new processes with relevant non-finance teams / colleagues in relation to key taxation compliance areas, especially relating to fundraising and HR activities.
- Documentation of Finance procedures, as well as the communication, implementation and embedding of policies and processes within finance and the wider office.
- Provide support from the finance function to the fundraising team during the fundraising team's project to introduce a legacy administration database and associated processes.

About the Role
We are now recruiting for an experienced Policy and Public Affairs Specialist to lead on planning and delivering Hibiscus’ work on racial and intersectional inequalities in the Criminal Justice and Immigration systems.
Development, research and report writing will be a key aspect of this role; the successful candidate will be responsible for drafting policy recommendations, reports, and consultation responses on issues related to Black and minoritised migrant women in contact with the Criminal Justice and Immigration systems. Supporting the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, they will engage and develop relationships with key political and parliamentary stakeholders, developing and delivering a variety of public affairs initiatives to inform decision-makers and influence policy in Criminal Justice, Immigration and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sectors. The post holder will prepare press releases and statements to address prison and immigration reforms, identifying the gaps of adequate support for women, and will analyse external and internal quantitative and qualitative data relevant to our work.
As part of the role, the Policy and Public Affairs Specialist will be responsible for raising awareness and creating content on the treatment of Black and minoritised migrant women within the Criminal Justice System. About You
The successful candidate will have experience working in the UK political context to influence change, with demonstrable experience in developing and implementing public affairs strategies and building relationships with policy makers to inform decision making in government and across the Criminal Justice and Immigration sectors.
The candidate will have knowledge and experience in collecting quantitative and qualitative research methods to produce evidence-based reports, press statements, and legislative policy briefings. Role Overview

You will have the ability to manage a busy workload and deadlines whilst taking ownership of problems to find a solution where possible, escalating to a manager where required.

Our Location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home although you will need to be in the office for two days a week minimum. There will also be other times when you’ll need to be in the office for fulfilment tasks or to attend meetings such as our ‘All Staff Together’ days four times a year and you will also be required to attend fundraising events.
