Live Music Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Live Music Coordinator in the North of England to support the delivery of live music experiences improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.

This is remote working role in the North of England, so please only apply if you live within a commutable distance of the area.

Position: Live Music Coordinator

Location: Remote based in the North of England (Yorkshire and Humberside, North West or North East).

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £23,400 per annum

Contract: Fixed term contract until end of June 2025, with the potential to extend beyond this date.

The Role

The Live Music Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of live music experiences across the North of England, improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.

You will work with professional musicians to share live music with people who may not otherwise get to experience it, organising programmes with partner organisations, in line with the organisation’s strategy and operational plan.

You will also support the delivery of the annual programme of live music experiences communicating with hospitals, hospices, care homes and the community. This includes those living with dementia, who have mental health problems, or who are seriously ill.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

• Coordination of the live music programme
• Prepare reports and appropriate feedback to the Live Music Manager and support to the Fundraising and Communications team as per the reporting timeframes required
• Inform the Live Music Manager of progress and developments
• Support the Live Music Manager to manage and deliver services
• Encourage, collate and monitor feedback reports from healthcare centres, participants and musicians
• Ensure effective administration in accordance with the UK-wide system for facilitating and contracting of individual health and care settings and musicians
• Provide copy for publications such the newsletter and Annual Report.
• Support Safeguarding and Health and Safety compliance within geographic area of responsibility

You will have proven administration experience ideally delivering a similar provision within health and social care or arts setting and a passion for live music.

About the Organisation

The charity seeks to give joy through live music through the provision of live music sessions for people receiving care or treatment in healthcare settings across the UK, including those who are vulnerable, the elderly, those with dementia and in critical care.

Their live music concerts are presented by individual or small groups of skilled musicians who have been carefully selected through a process of audition. Overview

The Operations and Systems Manager is a key role in the Operations Team and will focus on ensuring that our staff, all home-working and many based internationally, can engage positively with Global Dialogue’s operational systems and processes. The scope of the role covers IT and digital tools, digital security, data management, HR, insurance and travel, as well as the organisation’s equipment, and health and safety protocols.

Job Description

• Responsible for the maintenance and development of systems and processes that support Global Dialogue’s operations across a range of functions.
• Provide operational support to programme staff across the organisation as needs arise.

• Maintain an overview of Global Dialogue’s user accounts across SharePoint and other digital tools, ensuring pricing, licencing and permissions are effectively managed across all platforms.
• Maintain and develop Global Dialogue’s practice and policies in relation to GDPR, ensuring that they are applied across the organisation, and take ownership of the organisation’s SharePoint structure.

We are hiring!  VIN has been awarded just under £550,000 over a 3-year period starting July 2024, to embed volunteering at a system and strategic level within the ICS (integrated care system) in Northamptonshire. This has been funded by the Volunteering for Health partnership consisting of CW+, NHS Charities Together and NHSE. We are calling this project Northamptonshire Health & Care Volunteering.

We are now looking for a Project Manager who will be central to the successful delivery of the project and its outcomes.  Their main role is to be a central point of contact for all in the delivery of the project, and to take the lead in developing our strategic approach to volunteering within the Integrated Care System (ICS) across West and North Northamptonshire and diversifying our volunteer workforce.

The job role will focus on working with committees of high-level volunteers to raise money through a series of exciting fundraising events throughout the year. You will be an all-round fundraiser, working closely with volunteers to develop and secure new support from individuals, companies and one-off initiatives. You will have experience of project managing profitable events with flawless execution from large scale dinners to small intimate receptions. You will have excellent experience of managing budgets and delivering good return on investment for the activities you will manage. You will need to be creative and innovative in order to grow profit, both through improving existing events and through seeking out new opportunities. 

Person Specification - we're looking for someone with experience and knowledge in the following:

• Experience and knowledge of event management, specifically with a track record of successfully delivering large scale events
• Excellent ability to establish, develop and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Confidence to deal with people at the very highest level, managing high profile volunteers with diplomacy and discretion, this will include preparing presentations to individuals and companies, sponsorship proposals, correspondence and briefings
• Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to organise and plan own work with conflicting deadlines
• Well-developed experience of working with other teams to maximise positive results for the organisation
• Excellent ability to successfully influence and negotiate with others
• Excellent communication skills to present information in a clear, persuasive, and inspiring way for a range of audiences
• Strong understanding of budget management
• The ability to analyse and meet financial targets
• You will also need excellent attention to detail, organisational, administrative and IT skills.
• Experience of success in a customer focussed environment, such as fundraising, sales or marketing
• Track record of demonstrating initiative and creativity to achieve desired outcomes

Rota:

5 week rolling rota, working on a 4-5-6 day week pattern

Shift times:

Early: 8am-4pm

Late: 2:30pm-10:30pm

What you'll do:

Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support actions and capture outcomes in Support and Risk Management files.
Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community especially the local mental health system to ensure that customers receive the best treatment available
Lead on an area of specialism (e.g. , health and wellbeing) , build partnerships and develop internal and external opportunities for service-users in this area
Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards
Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team
Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible
Adhere to Look Ahead's Policies and Procedures
Engage in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills
Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned.
Work patterns are over a 7 day shift rota (shift pattern is a mix of early shifts (8am-4pm) and late shifts (2:30pm-10:30pm) . The service operates 24 hours 7 days a week.
All staff members must be confident using IT.

Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. While carrying out activities, Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.
