The right candidate will also support with the delivery of the TeamUCL Elite Athlete and Team Performance Programmes. The successful role holder will proactively assist sports clubs in developing sports participation opportunities and performance pathways for identified target groups through development planning.
This a full time and permanent role. This role is also a hybrid working role with a minimum of 40% office-based, but at certain times of the year we will need the post holder on site much more than that.

What the job involves
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, people-orientated Microsoft SQL data expert to join an established data function at one of the most dynamic and fastest growing charities in the UK.
Data powers the insight we make decisions by and drives the way we are building long term relationships with our customers – from service users to fundraisers, from campaigners to volunteers. As an organisation, we are transforming our culture to be data and insight driven and this role will play a major part in making that happen.
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases that support our business applications and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL programming, and database performance optimisation.
Working alongside our solutions architect, you’ll be responsible for the development and management of our data import processes by managing and onboarding new data feeds through our bespoke ETL tool, the Message Broker. You’ll be focused on developing and translating business reasoning into data transformation. You’ll act as a key conduit between teams – ensuring new functionality is rolled out effectively to become business as usual. Find the best ways of importing and validating customer data, so we can build long term relationships with our customers and keep them coming back for more. You’ll get involved at the briefing stage and see it through to delivery of data, championing security, governance, quality and accuracy at every step along the way.
This is role is currently seconded to the Technology Directorate, working on the delivery of the charity’s key IT systems such as the current migration from Raisers Edge 7 to Raisers Edge NXT CRM.
What we want from you

You’ll have a good knowledge of SQL and data transformation. Experience of not-for-profit data from both a user and technical perspective would be an advantage.

Background
The European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) is one of the world’s pre-eminent symphony orchestras. An orchestra of dynamism, youthful energy, and passion shaped afresh each year with highly talented musicians from all 27 EU Member States. Recognised across the world for the excellence of its music-making, and for its success in nurturing the careers of generations of young musicians, the EUYO is always at the forefront, anticipating and reacting to the changing world around it, equipping its members for careers in that world and forging change within the classical music and cultural sectors.
For the past half-decade, the statutory public funding won by the EUYO was sufficient to finance its activities. Now, with a new base in Austria, an expanded programme, preparations for its 50th anniversary, and with the challenges of current general global uncertainty, the EUYO wishes to extend its revenue base by reigniting its previously strong tradition in private funding and corporate relationships, beginning with the recruitment of a Head of Development and Philanthropy. The Head of Development and Philanthropy will have responsibility for fundraising from corporates, individuals and trusts and foundations. The responsibility for the EUYO’s statutory public funding from EU, EU member state and local and regional public institutions will continue to be held by the Executive & Artistic Director and the Head of Executive & Finance.
In order to assist this process, the last year 18 months have been used by the Orchestra to create and put in place new development processes and initial donors, including utilising a skilled volunteer Board level fundraising committee, setting up a cross border tax incentive scheme, creating a new bespoke CRM integrated with the Orchestra’s database, creating a new website support area, initiating new patrons and individuals programmes and the base strategy for a new alumni programme, and recruiting new initial corporate donors. Now, with all of these processes and achievements in place, the EUYO seeks a dynamic entrepreneurial fundraiser to help deliver the Orchestra’s exciting future programme, and over time, to grow a fundraising team as income generation builds.
Purpose of role
The EUYO’s passion, energy and commitment are mirrored by that of its management team, and
we are now seeking an exceptional Head of Development and Philanthropy to join that team. The
successful applicant will start at an exciting and pivotal moment.
Reporting to the Executive and Artistic Director, this role will suit a dynamic, ambitious, collegiate and entrepreneurial individual. Working in close collaboration with colleagues, you will be responsible for shaping the nature of the EUYO’s fundraising. You will help us to effectively cultivate, solicit and steward the EUYO’s current donors and sponsors and identify and bring on board new donors and sponsors, working with a wide and diverse variety of stakeholders and audiences.
Primary responsibilities
Key responsibilities
- Continued delivery of the organisation’s fundraising strategy, alongside the opportunity to also develop, rethink and remould it, all in consultation with the Executive and Artistic Director and with the support of our Fundraising Committee, Board, Advisory Council and key stakeholders across the EU.
- Build on EUYO’s compelling case for support and identify specific projects which align with the EUYO’s strategic plan, and which demonstrate the difference that philanthropy will make in delivering on the mission.
- Work with the Executive and Artistic Director and the Head of Communications and Advocacy to ensure together a cohesive integrated public facing language for the organisation in its communications, balancing the needs of different audiences
- Sustain a range of giving programmes: membership, appeals and major giving opportunities which appeal to donors and can be delivered with available resources.
- Ensure systems for renewal of current supporters and developing a pipeline of future donors, which includes a range of corporates, individuals, and trusts and foundations.
- Work with the Fundraising Committee to develop annual appeals and create a strategic plan for the 50th Anniversary Appeal.
- Work with the finance team to analyse the effectiveness of different fundraising initiatives, manage budgets and support financial reporting.
- Co-ordinate monitoring, evaluation and reporting for all non-funded projects, with EUYO colleagues.
- Regularly circulate information about the EUYO engagements and initiatives to Directors, corporate supporters, and donors.
- Maintain positive working relationship with all internal and external stakeholders.
Governance and finance
- Keep up to date with changes in fundraising regulation and ensure implementation where required.
- Work with the Head of Executive and Finance to set and manage expenditure and report on ROI.
- Manage quarterly Fundraising Committee meetings in conjunction with the Committee Chair.
- Work with the Fundraising Committee to research new potential committee members.
- Regularly review the Fundraising Policy and associated policies.
- Ensure appropriate fundraising due diligence is completed when appropriate.
- Ensure the EUYO is operating best practice in its fundraising, keeping up to date with any changes in compliance, legislation, and fundraising methodologies.
- Keep up to date on tax matters relating to charitable giving, ensuring the EUYO is maximising income from tax concessions.
- Work with the Communications Team to source suitable donation platforms and software and maintain the EUYO’s fundraising database.
- Work with the Communications Team to manage the fundraising complaints register.
Individual giving
- Build on and develop the current major donor strategy to secure long term support.
- Manage the EUYO’s membership and patron’s programmes with the support of the Communications Team.
- Manage existing donor membership schemes and increase membership year-on-year.
- Research and cultivate a pool of prospective individual donors in conjunction with the Executive and Artistic Director, Trustees and Directors and maintain close relationships with existing donors.
- Build on and develop an annual appeal for individual donors.
- Devise new ways of attracting donors using the EUYO’s website and social media channels, beneficiaries and alumni.
Corporate giving
- Develop a healthy prospect list of companies, both nationally and internationally.
- Develop corporate sponsorship and partnership proposals.
- Work with the Executive and Artistic Director, Fundraising Committee, Board and Advisory Council to cultivate and steward corporate partners.
- Explore the potential of corporate membership and, if implemented, administer and service the Corporate Membership Scheme, maintaining close relationships with the members’ nominated contacts, circulating information, and ensuring that members enjoy the full extent of the benefits.
- Ensure all corporate partners and sponsors receive appropriate reports as required and in a timely manner.
Trusts and foundations
- Develop a pipeline of trusts and foundation prospects, working with the Executive and Artistic Director and the Head of Executive and Finance to develop appropriate resource for this new pipeline of prospects where necessary.
- Research and apply for funding from trusts and foundations.
- Work with the EUYO colleagues to measure impact and outputs from grant funding.
- Monitor delivery progress and ensure reporting according to grant funding requirements.
- Maintain relationships with trusts and foundations who are already giving to the EUYO, keeping them informed of the EUYO’s activities and of the results and benefits generated by their donation.
Profile

Experience
- 5-10 years’ experience in fundraising within the arts and cultural sector.
- Experience in implementing a fundraising strategy.
- Demonstrable success in securing significant gifts from high-net-worth individuals, in the 5-6 figure range, corporate partnerships, and trusts and foundations on a national and transnational level.
- Experience in producing persuasive fundraising case for support and other fundraising marketing material.
- Prior experience in tax-effective giving and fundraising regulation across the European Union.
- Proven track record in building relationships and engaging with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrable knowledge of creating solicitation and stewardship plans.
- Experience in researching and developing new prospects, uncover untapped markets and sources of funding.
- Experience of working on annual appeal fundraising campaigns.
- Experience in managing budgets.
Skills
- Passion for, and/or knowledge of, classical music.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Working knowledge of fundraising regulations, cross-border, and international giving.
- Adept at managing multiple relationships concurrently and managing your own time effectively.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to translate complex information into a compelling case for support.
- Experience writing web copy for fundraising.
- Extensive knowledge of individual, major donors, corporate, and trust and foundations, strategies and approaches.
- Ability to work independently to multiple deadlines, whilst delivering under pressure.
- Experience using a fundraising CRM database and ensuring its upkeep.
- Fluent in written and oral English. French and/or German highly desirable.

The Policy and Public Affairs (PAPA) team is part of the Strategy and Knowledge Directorate at the NSPCC. The PAPA team develops and holds the NSPCC’s positions on key public policy issues and harnesses these to influence policy makers and external stakeholders across the UK. The PAPA team’s strategic focus is divided into five ‘workstreams’: child protection and children’s social care; early years; child sexual abuse; online safety; supporting young victims and witnesses.
We are now seeking a Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer to play a leading role in the online safety workstream to ensure legislative and policy frameworks in England and the UK are fit for purpose in preventing online abuse and harm to children.
You will join the team at a crucial moment for children in the UK and help us make the case for strong and ambitious regulation and legislation to ensure every child is safe online.
The Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer will lead the development of new policy positions and delivery of public affairs strategies to achieve regulatory, policy and legal change which tackles abuse and harm to children online. This will involve evidence-based policy development, being responsible for thematic policy areas, and playing a key role in forming and delivering public affairs and influencing strategies.
You’ll be able to demonstrate that you can hit the ground running and deliver high impact policy outputs and public affairs initiatives to ensure the NSPCC delivers real change in the best interests of children and continues to be seen as a credible and authoritative voice on online harms.
As an effective communicator you’ll have excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with a proven record of building in-depth knowledge of complex subject matter and developing a wide range of relationships to successfully influence policy decision making. Publicity & Marketing
• Be responsible for regular social media posts relating to BLG Minds services, projects, news and events across all channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Identify local groups and organisations to align our communications with, ensuring that tagging and appropriate hashtags are used to extend our reach.

Can you help us to support new dads and dads-to-be?
We are recruiting a Dad Matters Coordinator to help us reach more families across Barnet, Brent and Harrow. They will work alongside our team of Coordinators, local Family Hubs and a range of services including Maternity, Health Visiting and Children's Services.
The Dad Matters Coordinator will deliver a range of universal and targeted interventions aimed at fathers in the First 1001 Days. They will support dads and other male carers with attachment and bonding, mental health and access to service. They also work with professionals and perinatal services to ensure dads and male carers are engaged, supported and heard within clinical pathways. Addtionally, they will help develop and run sessions with dads and will be at the forefront of growing our Dad Matters volunteering opportunities.
This is a new post, and we are looking for someone who can build on our existing relationships and make a real impact on the mental health and wellbeing of new dads and dads-to-be.
The work requires a combination of field-based community engagement and training, and regular days in the office which is in Finchley, Barnet.

About the organisation
Look Good Feel Better is a national cancer charity devoted to delivering workshops that help people living with a cancer diagnosis to cope with the physical and emotional side effects of their treatment. Delivered by trained volunteers from the beauty industry, the free workshops offer practical advice about changes to skin and hair as well as supporting body confidence and well-being. Delivered in person at Cancer Care Centres and Hospitals across the UK as well as online, the workshops offer an invaluable opportunity to meet people in similar situations in a safe and inclusive space.
The Role
The charity is now embarking on a significant growth plan which will see a trebling in the number of beneficiaries supported (from 10,000 to 30,000 within four years). To allow the charity to deliver this plan, they are making substantial investment into the fundraising and communications team, this new role will be instrumental in assisting with the ambitious income growth. By 2028 the income should be reaching 3 million pounds.
Although you will be seeking to increase all areas of income, however, initially this role will focus on the management and development of the individual fundraising (regular giving, lottery, individual fundraising initiatives, digital fundraising, legacy, e-commerce, event and challenge event fundraising) and trust and foundation income streams. The Head of Fundraising will also assist and deputise for the Director of Fundraising and Communications in the day to day management of corporate fundraising.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day management and development of the following income initiatives:
- Individual Fundraising
- Regular Giving
- Challenge Event and Non-Challenge Event Fundraising
- E-commerce Fundraising – Lottery, Online sale of Beauty Goodie Bags and Beauty Boxes, Online Shop, Online Raffles and Auctions, eBay Shop, Vinted and TikTok Shop
- Development and implementation of:
- Challenge Event Programme with Fundraising Officer
- New ‘Beauty industry focussed Fundraising Event
- Workshop Fundraising Programme
- Public Appeal Campaigns for new venue launches
- High Value Individual Giving Programme
- Legacy Fundraising Programme
- Ensure delivery of the required donor care through effective stewardship strategy and mobilising support from the Communications and Marketing Team where appropriate
- Line management of Fundraising Officer and Fundraising Administrator
- Ensure the Fundraising Department is kept within budget.
- Help drive the annual planning cycle and project management processes.
- Supporting the Director of Fundraising & Communications with the annual budgeting process and development of the charity’s fundraising strategy in line with our income growth plan.

About the role
We are seeking a versatile and experienced CAMHS nurse to work as part of our CAMHS Service to British Forces Cyprus. You will be responsible for providing a child and adolescence mental health service to individuals and families by providing a range of clinical interventions to children and young people across British Forces Cyprus (BFC) who are struggling with their mental health and require specialist support from mental health services.
You will work autonomously and carry a clinical caseload of service users requiring CAMHS intervention, utilising age-appropriate interventions in line with NICE Guidelines.
You will report to the Locality Team Leader and will be supported by the Clinical Advisor for CAMHS.
About the team
There are 3 SSAFA locality Community Health teams in Cyprus, each team is led by a Locality Team Leader; the teams consist of Midwives, Health Visitors, School Nurses, Community Children’s Nurses, CAMHS, Dietitian and Speech and Language Therapists. The Community Health Service is supported by a Child Consultant Psychiatrist and a Community Paediatrician who provide a peripatetic visiting service from the UK.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, with relevant post qualification experience. Experience of work within a military environment would be an advantage. You will have a good working knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, with the opportunity to facilitate safeguarding training and participate in Family and Children in Need Supervision.
