As our Volunteers Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in contributing towards the development, planning, and delivery of the charity’s volunteering programme. This role will be based in the North and the Volunteers Officer will be responsible for the recruitment and oversight of volunteers across the North and Scotland regions. Key duties and responsibilities of the Volunteer Officer include:
- Acting as a central point of contact and support in the North and Scotland regions for all volunteer queries and support requests, including providing prompt and thorough responses and resolving any complaints
- Acting as a central point of contact and support in the North and Scotland regions for all volunteering requests from internal departments, specifically the Fundraising and UK Programmes departments
- Managing and supervising volunteers and Interns across the North and Scotland regions, including developing their skillsets, providing volunteer engagement initiatives, and promoting a positive working environment
- Actively growing Human Appeal’s volunteer database in the North and Scotland regions, including promoting volunteering opportunities, processing new volunteer sign-up requests from the Volunteers inbox, and conducting Volunteer Team Leader interviews
- Recruiting Interns across the North region for various departments to achieve additional manpower support, by preparing Role Profiles, posting job adverts and conducting interviews
- Preparing volunteers resources, such as collection buckets, t-shirts, merchandise and donation forms, for all volunteering activities
- Designing and delivering local volunteering projects and outreach programmes to achieve increased public interaction with Human Appeal and improve local relations
- Exploring new and innovative ideas to maximise the potential of Human Appeal’s volunteering programme
- Undertaking a range of administrative tasks in support of the wider Volunteers Management team and People and Culture department
What we’re looking for in our Volunteer Officer include:
- Ideally degree-educated in a related field, with minimum GCSE English and Maths
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in charity / office administration / events or volunteers’ management
- Driver with a clean licence and full-time access to a car, as regular travel across the North and Scotland area will be required
- Flexible attitude, as the Volunteers Officer will be expected to support campaigns by attending activities and events that may take place in unsociable hours, such as evenings and weekends. Please note that any over-time will be compensated via Human Appeal’s TOIL Policy
- Computer literate and database proficient; experience using Salesforce is desirable
- Fluent English is essential and additional languages e.g. Arabic, Urdu are desirable

Job description
This position is full-time, permanent, and based in the ADI office in London. Some international travel for several days at a time will be required. Remote or international applicants may be considered for this role depending on circumstances.

Main purpose of the role

We are looking for a talented fundraiser to join our small and supportive team. The Fundraising Officer (Trusts & Foundations & Events) is a new role to our charity and will play a key part in supporting our future plans.

The ideal candidate for this role will have two years of fundraising experience, preferably in trusts and/or major donor fundraising. You will have experience of writing compelling fundraising appeals and inspiring reports, and of designing and managing engagement events, as well as possessing a good understanding of working with philanthropists and charitable trusts. Your persuasive communication skills will be combined with the ability to build internal and external relationships with integrity and empathy and you will have an organised and proactive approach to work. Finally, you will be committed to the political neutrality of the organisation’s work and an understanding of public debate in the UK and sensitivity to the political context they work in.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Individual Giving specialist to join the Fundraising & Partnerships Team at the National Museum of the Royal Navy.
Our fundraising income has grown significantly over the last few years thanks to a talented team, and we have an ambitious strategy to grow this income even further.
As a Fundraising & Partnership team we build internal and external relationships to secure financial support to bring to life our collections, care for our objects, engage with young people, fund our capital projects and underpin our core costs.
We do this by sharing the passion of our colleagues; appreciating and sharing our collective experience, knowledge and skills; and advocating about how the NMRN positively impacts local economies, visitors and the wider public understanding of the Royal Navy.
When our team excels we help to deliver NMRN’s vision of becoming the world’s most inspiring Naval Museum, linking Navy to Nation, and inspiring enjoyment and engagement with the story of the Royal Navy and its role in shaping both our nation and the modern world.
We’re now seeking an Individual Giving Lead to drive forward our work in this fundraising strand and exploit NMRN’s investment in brand, audience development and CRM.
Key Opportunities
* Growing our individual giving programme with a particular focus on regular giving, major appeals, capital projects, adopt-an-object, and exploring opportunities through content and gaming.
* Developing and implementing a major donor and mid-level giving programme.
* Working with the Customer Relationship Manager and Web Lead use our data to build supporter and donor journeys.
* Collaborating with the Communications and Content team to drive individual giving opportunities through content on NMRN’s digital channels, as well as those of partners.
* Creating a legacy giving programme that raises awareness of the importance of legacy and gift-in-will bequest and results in an increased number of pledges.
* Working in tandem with the Corporate & New Business Partnership Lead to develop a payroll giving scheme.

* writing compelling cases-for-support and donor communications
* establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
* develop, communicate, and execute initiatives and effective pragmatic solutions
* work with others to develop effective and targeted email marketing using CRM data
* develop stewardship plans for individual givers and major donors

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. Job Purpose:
You will be joining Women in Prison’s new fundraising team which secures funding from a range of sources including individual donors, corporate supporters, and charitable trusts and foundations. We are looking for someone who can work flexibly to support the administrative and operational needs across different areas in the team including major donor giving, individual giving, trusts and foundations and legacy giving.

Reedham Children's Trust is Croydon’s oldest children’s charity, providing support to vulnerable children and young people in our area since 1844. We do this by collaborating with grassroots organisations to fund innovative programmes and projects to help transform the lives of young people.

In addition to running a number of established and successful projects, we have recently launched our Youth Innovation Fund which has created the need for a new role, the Youth Partnerships Officer, to ensure we deliver all our projects effectively, on time and robustly - as well as promoting our work dynamically using a range of social media platforms.

- building effective relationships with local youth delivery organisations
- managing the administration of funding awards
- monitoring service delivery of the projects to support the smooth running and success of our work.

About the role
This role will be instrumental in ensuring Claire House remains a legacy confident organisation. The postholder will lead on the planning of our Legacy (gifts in Wills) and In Memory strategy, ensuring supporter journeys, audience insight and effective targeting are at the heart of the programme while initiating impactful marketing campaigns across a variety of channels.
You’ll be a creative thinker and determined self-starter with the entrepreneurial spirit and experience to deliver a successful programme of legacy giving that will sustain our charity for future generations. The postholder will have the ability to distil Claire House’s work down to compelling propositions to demonstrate the impact of supporters’ gifts and ensure a stable pipeline for future income.
The nuts and bolts of the job:
· To develop and ensure effective implementation of a legacy and in memory fundraising strategy.
· To build relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders, creating legacy leads and converting to legators.
· A member of Fundraising Team Leaders, work collaboratively with colleagues to optimise legacy giving opportunities, utilising the full range of marketing platforms and events.
· To develop key messages and tools to enable all staff to integrate legacies into their everyday conversations with our supporters.
What you’ll need to bring to the role
· Proven experience and a successful track record at a senior level in legacy fundraising, including the creation, development and implementation of strategic fundraising plans.
· Excellent people management skills.
· Excellent relationship management, marketing and programme delivery skills.
· Ability to produce accurate budgets and regular forecasts and to communicate complex financial information.
· Experience of developing and promoting in memory and/or legacy fundraising products.
· Strong understanding of relationship fundraising, legacy and in memory giving, including the latest trends and opportunities
· Ability to create compelling legacy and in memory messaging and asks.
