As the Programme Manager for the Green Future Fellowships, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing this new programme. This exciting new role focuses on leading the delivery of this important programme, aimed at identifying and supporting exceptional engineering researchers dedicated to developing breakthrough technologies and engineering solutions to address the climate crisis.

Location
Our light, spacious head office is based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline for office based working of a mandatory weekly team day plus further days each week as required for the role and the Academy.

As Digital Content Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting, enabling, and supporting the digital ambitions of Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK), bringing our brand and purpose to life for our online supporters and audiences. You will take charge of our web content, structure and user experience, working with and advising teams across the charity. You will also be required to work closely with our partner agencies, helping to deliver our ongoing strategic web projects.
The role reports to the Head of Digital, with direct line management responsibilities of a Website Development Officer. A Digital Analytics Officer also sits within this team.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract, or on return of the substantive post holder, to cover a period of maternity leave.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Ongoing development and implementation of ARUK’s web content strategy, including microsites and apps, where appropriate.
· Working with teams across ARUK to ensure content is up to date and meets Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) / Accessibility standards.
· Play a leading role in the creation of campaign landing pages, working closely with the Digital Campaigns Manager to ensure that landing pages are effective, with clear calls to action.
· Review and develop user journeys on the website.
· Using data insights to inform website design and content.
· Identify and prioritise key web development activities for the Web Development Officer and Analytics Officer.
· Ongoing review and optimisation of pages on the website.
· Review and recommend changes to the website information architecture, through internal consultation, workshops, data analysis and user research.
· Ensure that digital content is visually appealing, on-brand and functional.
· Help to drive continuous improvement on digital platforms and keep the charity at the forefront of developments in digital marketing.
· Help to edit and upload content to the website, as required.
· Team management and development, working alongside the Head of Digital and Director to inspire and motivate team members to fulfil their potential.
What we are looking for:
· Previous experience within a similar website management role.
· Demonstrable web development and digital content experience.
· A strong grasp of SEO principles.
· Experience using a website content management system.
· Strong Google Analytics and AdWords experience, with an appreciation for how those help to inform web content.
· Demonstrable project planning, management and delivery experience.
· Copy writing skills, with a flair for writing copy that is suitable for digital consumption.
· A confident communicator who is comfortable attending and leading meetings and workshops.
· Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, as well as the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise.

· Confident in reviewing website Information and Architecture and managing changes to website structure.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

To date the vast majority of all marketing has been done by one person (our CEO) though increasingly we recognise the need for greater focus on a coherent look and feel, for a fresh voice and to respond to increased internal demand. This new role has been created to ensure continued cost and resource efficiency as we grow whilst meeting these needs.
This role encompasses four areas. In all instances this individual will work closely with respective internal teams to ensure a full understanding of the opportunity and any specific requirements. You should be a strong ‘all-rounder’. You will have excellent consumer and B2B copywriting skills, should have a creative mindset and an aptitude for campaign-oriented design (making use of software such as Canva). You should be well organised and able to ensure synergies across our various platforms, campaigns and audiences.
You will need to influence across the charity, should have good interpersonal and collaborative skills and be comfortable in working with individuals across the organisation and externally. You will benefit from very good prioritisation and decision making skills. Due to the broad scope of this role and the nature of our work you should be flexible, able to respond to needs as they arise, manage multiple tasks and manage priorities.
This role will be well supported by all members of the team but will need to support the marketing function end to end. You will need to be comfortable with concept development, taking this forward to final product and then on to production. Many of our marketing requirements rely on digital platforms and so an understanding of this medium and of social media messaging will be key.

About the role

From sharing the voices of our incredible Youth Ambassadors far and wide, to marketing fantastic fundraising initiatives to identifying new opportunities to reach young people, you’ll play a fundamental role in ensuring bereaved children and young people know they can put their trust in Winston’s Wish when their worlds are turned upside down by grief.
Main Responsibilities
- Marketing outreach and project management
- Work alongside the Director of Marketing & Communications to action the charity’s strategic marketing plan.
- Lead a team of marketeers in planning, delivering and measuring effective projects to drive revenue and reach across multiple areas of the company.
- End to end management of comms plans to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard using data and analysis to refine and develop plans in order to reach targets.
- Oversee marketing activity across all channels, with a strong emphasis on developing data led digital marketing. Ensuring the team are constantly analysing, refining and optimising.
- Write influential and fluent copy aimed at different target audiences to engage and ultimately drive interest.
- Actively identify and motivate the team to recognise opportunities to market Winston’s Wish to reach our identified audiences.
- Work with the charity’s approved freelance designers to oversee the creation and delivery of marketing assets and artwork, adhering to our brand style and tone of voice.
- Support the PR & Marketing Officer to identify and respond to media requests and create opportunities that grow the charity’s reputation.
Brand Management
- Work alongside the Director of Marketing & Communications to embed a cohesive and engaging brand identity to create memorable and consistent experiences for all.
- Develop our visual identity in a way which brings our cause and purpose to life in the most engaging and inspiring way possible.
- Grow and manage our database of brand and marketing assets and materials.
- Use market insight and analytics to continuously develop our brand to position Winston’s Wish as a leader in our sector.
Team Management & Administration
- Work alongside the Director of Marketing & Communications to lead our marketing and communications team, ensuring there is a clear direction of travel, an understanding of purpose and an exemplary culture embedded to drive future success.
- Line manage the Digital Marketing & Communications Officer and PR & Marketing Officer.
- Effectively manage expenditure across all projects and campaigns in line with agreed expenditure budgets.
- Effective reporting as required in line with agreed objectives and KPIs.
- Ensure that the recording of permissions and consents is adhered to in line with our policies and procedures and in accordance with GDPR.

The Digital Content Manager for our Marketing and Communications capability will focus and lead on developing exciting and informative digital content across RNID’s programmes and audiences with a focus on our website. In this role, you’ll be building new and exciting content in a growing charity for fast moving campaigns to different audiences. This is a job share role on a flexible remote working basis which offers the opportunity to fit work around caring or other responsibilities.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering website content plans across all the charity’s campaigns and projects.
- Drafting news story blogs, research panel opportunities, case studies and other stories.

About You
