Support Coordinator
We’re looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in Lincolnshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to provide stroke recovery support following a stroke.
There are two positions available:
1 x 28 hours per week – This is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2026
1 x 21 hours per week – This is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2026
Position: S11265 Stroke Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based Lincolnshire, however, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Salary: Salary circa £21,948 per annum for 28 hours per week and £16,461 per annum for 21 hours per week (FTE circa £27,435 per annum)
Contract: Services are contracted and there is currently funding for this contract until 31 March 2026.

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. A key part of the role will be to support service users and the delivery of the service.
Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinator will:
• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Take a person centred approach to goal setting and support to enable stroke survivors and their carers to improve communication
• Provide personalised information, advice and support.
• Support stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes, which will help them to prevent further strokes.
• Work collaboratively with NHS colleagues and other areas of the community to make a difference in the lives of people affected by stroke.

You will have:
• Experience/background in a caring profession, ideally supporting people with disabilities
• Excellent IT skills and an ability to maintain accurate records.
• An affinity with the values of the Association.
• A flexible approach and an ability to effectively manage a caseload.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant to the Chair of the Board. Reporting to the Governance Manager & Deputy Secretary, you will be part of the Finance and Assurance directorate.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing personal assistance to the Chair, including the coordination of a confidential calendar, managing requests for attendance, travel arrangements, meeting and event coordination, and ensuring the effective use of the Chair’s time. A high level of confidentiality and discretion will be essential in all aspects of your work. While the primary focus will be supporting the Chair, there may be occasional personal assistant support required for other Trustees.
You will bring extensive experience as a Personal Assistant, particularly in supporting senior staff and working within a large organisation. Experience working with C-Suite executives or Non-Executive Directors/Trustees is essential, along with an understanding of their priorities and the demands of their roles.
You will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive, who manages the Chief Executive’s schedule and personal arrangements, and with our Governance Admin Co-ordinator, who books travel and accommodation for board and committee meetings. Together, you will ensure the Chair has a well-organised calendar and is fully briefed in advance of key events.
The role is home-based, though you will be required to attend meetings in person, so a current UK passport and residence in the UK are essential.

The role of Helpline Advisor
For several years, Guts UK have provided information, support and guidance to our community over the phone and by email. This year, we’re formalising that service into a professional Helpline and are looking for someone to join our small, talented support team.
During the initial 6-month trial period, the Helpline phone lines will be open Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm, but this may expand or change later in the year. Queries could be received via phone, email or web-query form.
As a member of the Helpline team, you will offer on demand information, support, guidance and signposting primarily to enquirers living with, or caring for those with, digestive conditions and symptoms. The support offered will include receiving calls, emails and web form queries from people who are looking for more information about their digestive condition, need to know where they can turn to for support, or are waiting on a diagnosis and need help navigating how to get there. You will provide appropriate information, guidance and signposting to our own information and other external support organisations. As a charity, Guts UK covers all digestive symptoms and conditions, across the whole of the UK, and so no two days will be the same and queries will be diverse and interesting.
The role holder will man the Helpline (alongside others from the team) from 10am to 2pm (with a 30-minute lunch break) and during that time will receive, respond to and appropriately log phone calls, web-queries and emails.
