Your role:
As the Communications Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the charity’s communications strategy to raise awareness, increase engagement, and grow support for our vital work. You will manage all external communications across multiple platforms, including social media, website, email marketing, and events, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand voice. You will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager and Challenge Events Officer to drive impactful campaigns. Will you join us as our new Legacy Manager? This is a varied role where you’ll plan and manage the full breadth of a small legacy programme, with big opportunities for growth. We’re looking for a relationship-builder with strong project management skills and legacy administration experience, who is looking to grow their marketing skills.
In this role, you’ll be the internal lead for legacy administration, working alongside our in-house legal team and our external legacy administration agency, to ensure that all estates are correctly administered, and maximising the value of the legacies left to The Trust. You’ll lead on managing our pipeline, providing accurate reporting to support financial forecasting.
You’ll also be responsible for managing our legacy marketing programme; aiming to encourage supporters and potential supporters to leave a gift in their Will, and stewarding individuals that have chosen to do so. This involves a mixture of in-person legacy events, developing and delivering training to colleagues and developing multi-channel campaigns and supporter journeys.
You’ll work with our Individual Giving Manager to matrix-manage our Individual Giving and Legacy Executive, who will spend half their time supporting the Legacy programme.

The role will manage the Donor Acquisition Fundraiser and In-Memory Fundraiser and be responsible for the overall delivery of our individual giving strategy.
As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.

Role purpose
As Digital and Social Media Manager, you will be using digital communication channels to support the engagement of our community of supporters, partners, patients, families and staff in the work of the charity and helping realise our shared ambition with the Trust to be national leaders in the delivery of patient care and health innovation.
The Digital and Social Media Manager is part of a collaborative and creative team responsible for the development and delivery of the CW+ Communications and Marketing strategy, including on- and offline communications, PR and media, donor stewardship and marketing collateral, and events support.

Key responsibilities and duties

The Advocacy & Media Manager reports to the Co-Director of Advocacy and is responsible for leading STOPAIDS' advocacy on Global Health Institutions and the HIV Response, with a particular focus on resource mobilisation for the HIV response and the role of the UK government. About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Individual Giving Manager to lead and grow our individual giving programme. This is a new and vital role in our fundraising team, focusing on creating and delivering strategies to increase unrestricted income from individual donors through appeals, regular giving, legacies, and digital campaigns.
You will have the opportunity to work on innovative campaigns, such as our upcoming 70th anniversary celebrations, and play a key role in developing relationships with our 70,000 members and beyond. This role is perfect for someone who is creative, data-driven, and passionate about making a difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategy to grow individual giving income, including appeals, regular giving, and legacy programmes.
- Plan and deliver engaging fundraising campaigns and communications to attract and retain supporters.
- Manage donor journeys and segmentation to ensure a personal and effective approach to supporter engagement.
- Work collaboratively with our marketing and membership teams to maximise fundraising opportunities across our existing supporter base.
- Analyse and report on performance, ensuring campaigns are data-driven and deliver measurable results.
- Keep up to date with sector trends and best practices to ensure our fundraising remains innovative and compliant.
About You
We are seeking a proactive and creative individual with proven experience in individual giving, legacy fundraising, or a related field, ideally within a charity setting. You will have a strong understanding of direct marketing techniques and donor journey development, excellent communication skills to craft compelling fundraising messages, and experience using CRM systems to manage and analyse donor data. With a results-driven mindset and strong analytical skills, you’ll share our passion for road safety and making a positive impact through fundraising.

Senior Legacy & In Memory Direct Marketing Officer
Battersea is here for every dog and cat, and has been since 1860. Our multiple award-winning Income Generation department raises around 60% of the Charity’s total income, allowing us to continue to grow to make sure we can be here for every cat and dog, now and in the future.
We are looking for someone to join our team as a Senior Legacy & In Memory Direct Marketing Officer on a fixed term basis, to deliver Battersea’s Legacy and In Memory marketing and fundraising programme by independently managing multi-channel direct and wider marketing campaigns to recruit and attract new Legacy and In Memory donors.
The ideal candidate would have experience planning, implementing and evaluating direct marketing campaigns across a range of media channels, the ability to analyse results of campaigns and a passion for helping dogs and cats.
Please note that this is a 6-month fixed term contract.
