Reporting to the Deputy Head of Research + Innovation, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping, developing and implementing our exciting new ‘Respiratory Leadership Academy’ (RLA). This aims to attract, develop and retain respiratory research and innovation talent in the UK, through funding, support, and networking for early career researchers. Your work will be instrumental in identifying the needs of early career researchers in lung research and supporting them to build successful careers.

You’ll have outstanding stakeholder management skills, inter-personal skills and the ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of individuals from different backgrounds and circumstances. The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Marketing Officer (Fellowship) to help us achieve real impact by recruiting Fellows to the RSA to grow and diversify our network of Fellows in line with the overarching operational strategy. This involves marketing the Fellowship through a range of written and multimedia formats, responding to enquiries effectively and generating leads, and delivering digital recruitment campaigns.

Rainbow Migration, the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system, is recruiting a Legal Officer to advise and help improve the representation of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and help change the asylum and immigration system to one that treats everyone with compassion, dignity and respect.

We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with valid practising certificate, or already accredited to Level 3 OISC, with two years’ experience in providing advice and representation in asylum including working in legal aid.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the legal advice service. Under the guidance of our Legal Service Manager, you will also build capacity amongst legal representatives by designing and delivering training, giving second tier advice and developing and coordinating a network of practitioners working in this area. You will use the knowledge you gain in this role to help deliver Rainbow Migration’s policy work, such as inputting into policy papers and meeting with partner organisations when required.

We will also consider applications from people who do not want to do the policy elements of the job, but to instead focus on first and second tier advice. Please mention in your covering letter if you are applying for this option.

This is a unique opportunity to build on your experience as a lawyer to improve representation across the sector and create change in government policy and practice. You will be supported to develop as a specialist lawyer and in your policy skills.

Responsibilities will include:

· Deliver one-off advice to adult LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and work with colleagues to refer them to quality legal aid and pro bono lawyers

· Provide casework assistance e.g. helping to prepare witness statements, making referrals to other specialist organisations and taking other urgent steps (whilst not representing service users or maintaining a caseload)

· Provide occasional advice (within competence) on other issues affecting asylum and partnership service users such as asylum support, legal aid, trafficking, family reunion or community care

· Deliver second tier advice to the legal representatives of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and other charities and professionals

· Work with the Legal Service Manager to design and deliver training to lawyers, NGOs and other professionals

· Write blogs and articles on asylum and immigration policy and legislation as they apply to LGBTQI+ people

· Contribute to policy and briefing papers

· Assist with preparing guidelines and briefings for legal services and pro bono lawyers

The Legal Officer will not be providing direct legal representation of service users. However, the role includes substantive advice and casework within the scope of legal support and referrals for our service users, as well as merits testing and second tier advice.

Contract Type: Permanent.

Salary: Starting at £40,175, with potential annual step increases up to £44,868 (pro-rata for part-time employees), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, the trustees consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April. 

Location: Remote or from Rainbow Migration’s offices in central London. Hybrid working will also be considered. As Fundraising Supporter Officer, you will:

• Process cash, credit/debit card and CAF donations received via post, telephone and online platforms (e.g. JustGiving, Stripe, Enthuse).

• Perform bank statement reconciliation, which includes processing standing orders, direct debits, online giving and legacies.

This role is offered on a hybrid contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home three days a week.

Purpose of Role

As a Senior PR Officer, you will play an important role in planning and delivering creative national and regional PR strategies to promote fundraising and partnership activities for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day 2025 campaign, that inspire people to get involved and demonstrate the life changing work donations make possible. 

You will work across a broad and exciting range of projects that creatively combine the worlds of entertainment and charity whilst driving income, awareness, and brand consideration at a time when the charity gets set to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025.

You will need to have a thorough understanding of the UK media landscape, feel confident in approaching journalists with new ideas and have proven success in generating quality print, online and broadcast coverage at both a regional and national level. 

Running Comic Relief’s busy Press Office alongside PR campaigns is a responsibility shared by all team members. You will be required to take an active role in managing media enquiries in a timely and accurate manner, media monitoring and evaluation, and join the on-call rota for out-of-hours and weekend support. 

This role may require occasional UK wide travel to manage media opportunities. 

Key responsibilities:

Develop and deliver creative, national and regional PR strategies that feed into the charity’s strategic objectives by promoting fundraising activities for Red Nose Day 2025 and raising awareness of the positive impact donations have in the UK and around the world

Draft press releases, statements, briefing documents, quotes, and other media materials as required, ensuring editorial excellence and high-quality output 

Help to develop new ideas, content, and stories for all media types – broadcast, print and online

Establish and build strong, collaborative relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. This may include partners, PR agencies, media, and will involve being the PR lead in cross-organisation working groups

Set up and facilitate media interviews with a range of spokespeople, drafting briefing materials and attending interviews when required (this might require UK wide travel on occasion). This includes Comic Relief colleagues, celebrity supporters, fundraisers, and people supported by organisations funded by Comic Relief

Work closely with internal teams and Comic Relief’s funded partners to tell stories that demonstrate the positive impact donations have in the UK and across the world. This may involve setting up and managing project visits with journalists, influencers, and high-profile supporters, leading briefings, and overseeing logistics and safeguarding protocols

Understand Comic Relief’s safeguarding principles and adhere to guidelines in practice

Take an active role in the day-to-day running of the Press Office - this includes responding to media enquiries, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish, working with teams across the organisation to draft responses, contributing to the morning press update, and producing coverage reports using our media monitoring platform

Join the on-call rota alongside other members of the team for out-of-hours and weekend cover

Monitor the press regularly to identify appropriate opportunities and potential threats to the promotion of the work of Comic Relief. Work to protect and enhance Comic Relief’s reputation and work closely with internal and external stakeholders if issues arise. Draft lines against enquiry and press statements, working with colleagues across the organisation to gather relevant info and ensure sign off

About the role

We’re looking for a Legacy Marketing Officer to join our Individual Giving and Legacy Team.

It’s an exciting time to join the Legacy Team as we are embarking on a new era for legacy and in memory giving at Young Lives vs Cancer.  In memory giving and gifts in Wills left to us by our supporters are essential to ensuring we can help generations of children and young people who will sadly be living with a cancer diagnosis. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Legacy Marketing Officer to play a pivotal role in supporting the Legacy Marketing Manager to plan, implement and deliver legacy and in-memory strategies.

The Legacy Officer will work on a range of legacy and in-memory campaigns, materials and supporter centric journeys across multiple channels.  As a team we will maximise legacy and in memory giving and acquire new legacy and in memory supporters, as well as nurturing existing supporters who have expressed an interest in leaving a gift in their Will for the future of Young Lives vs Cancer’s work. 

The role will suit a passionate and creative individual who thrives on working collaboratively and who is able to manage end to end projects and supplier relationships.  There will be a need to analyse data to monitor performance as well as identifying trends and opportunities. Fulfilment mapping is also a key element of the role as well as being comfortable presenting in person to colleagues and suppliers.
