Job Purpose

Our mission is to inspire, involve and empower older people in Scotland, and influence others so that people can enjoy better later lives. To help us achieve that, our Individual Giving fundraiser will aim to acquire new donors and maximise income from existing donors.

As an Individual Giving Fundraiser you will plan, develop and implement a programme of individual giving campaigns to acquire new one-off cash and regular donors, secure repeat donations from our warm database and upgrade donors to maximise and grow our induvial giving income.

You will analyse and monitor performance of campaigns and make tactical and strategic recommendations to enhance results using the full marketing mix. You will lead on developing donor journeys for our existing and new supporters ensuring donors feel valued and understand the impact their donations make.

What you’ll do

Individual Giving

· Using a storytelling technique develop and deliver all aspects of direct marketing appeals ensuring effective and emotive copywriting and by working collaboratively with colleagues and external suppliers to deliver within budget and meet income targets.

· Co-ordinate all aspects of Age Scotland’s donor acquisition programme to develop and build our individual donor base using traditional and digital channels.

· Lead the creation and implementation of donor journeys to recruit, retain, upgrade and re-activate donors. Review and make recommendations where appropriate.

· Explore, develop and test new ways of recruiting new donors and generating income.

· Lead the creation of a strategy to re-activate lapsed donors.

· Develop and implement plans to recruits payroll giving donors.

· Work with colleagues throughout the organisation to identify, engage and cross-sell individual giving opportunities to key stakeholder groups.

· Evaluate all campaigns and prepare reports and recommendations for the development of individual giving based on data and insight.

· Provide expertise and guidance on all matters relating to Gift Aid, including maximising income, and work closely with the fundraising and database administrator to ensure gift aid declarations are processed timely and accurately.

· Project and forecast income.

· Support the development of a mid-high level donor strategy.

Fundraising administration and processes

· Work closely with the Fundraising & Marketing Assistant to warmly thank donors for their support and ensure an exceptional level of donor care.

· Capture monthly income from the different individual giving income streams on the fundraising database.

· Lead on tracking individual giving income to meet targets and ensuring costs are within budget.

· Project and forecast income and contribute to annual operating plan.

· Ensure the website is up to date with individual giving fundraising activity.

· Ensure all individual giving activity is run in compliance with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising codes of practice.

· Maintain accurate and up to date records and accept responsibility for the safe and secure handling and storage of confidential information, and in accordance with GDPR and Age Scotland’s own data protection policies.

· Work with the fundraising and database administrator to ensure gift aid claims are processed accurately and timely.  

Other Duties

· When required, support in taking donations or setting up regular donations over the phone.

· During peak campaign periods support in the processing of donations.

· Attend, present and participate in events and meetings, as appropriate, to represent and promote Age Scotland’s interests.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that each income stream feeds into and supports others so that funds are maximised.

· Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with relevant legal and regulatory conditions.

What you’ll bring

Experience:

· Minimum 2 years’ experience within a similar role.

· Demonstrable experience of delivering direct marketing appeals and a proven track record of securing income using the full marketing mix.

· Experience of managing individual relationships.

Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus.

Growing Hope was founded in December 2017 and has a vision to see 20 clinics set up across the UK by 2030. We have three clinics, King’s Cross, Brockley and High Wycombe, and we are currently setting up a fourth clinic in Gateshead and a fifth in Redbridge. This role will report to the CEO of the charity and will work closely as part of the Senior Leadership team. The Director of Growth will have oversight of Fundraising, Communications, Marketing and Clinic Growth within the charity. This will involve line management of the Fundraising Manager and Executive Assistant in the team. The charity has a vision to champion accessibility UK wide and to set up twenty clinics in partnership with local churches by 2030, there’s a current pipeline in progress to achieve this. Main Duties and Responsibilities 
Duties and responsibilities will be discussed and developed as the charity continues to grow, but will include: 

Leadership and Management:

• Working as part of the Senior Leadership team to strategically support the running of the charity.

• Lead the development and execution of long-term financial plans in close alignment with the charity’s strategic goals from a Fundraising perspective.

We are excited to be recruiting for a new Communications Coordinator at Volunteer Centre Hackney who will play a key role in helping increase volunteering and grow strong thriving communities across Hackney. Using wide-ranging communications, you will be vital to reaching diverse people across the borough and building key partnerships to help people enjoy the benefits of our services - all of which hugely improve people's lives and bring people and communities together.

The Communications Co-ordinator will play a key role in helping to build, promote and retain VCH’s public profile with a diverse range of audiences, helping us to drive volunteer sign-ups in Hackney, and promote our services to a wide range of stakeholders.

Job Purpose

We are passionate about building an alumni community of our former students and apprentices to ensure that we can support them in progressing their careers while enabling them to engage with and learn from each other. 

The postholder will join Ada at an exciting time as we build and launch the alumni programme.  They will be able to shape and deliver events and activities such as engagement events, professional development opportunities, volunteering and mentoring/support.

The postholder will develop strong relationships to ensure we can maximise the impact of the alumni community to build on their Ada experience and education.  #AlwaysAda

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As our Alumni Relations Lead you will:

• Develop and maintain an ongoing dialogue with our alumni community through focus groups and research to reach a clear understanding of what they want and need from us, including the differences between Sixth Form and apprentice alumni.
• Undertake regular data collection cycles to track the current employment and needs of our current and future alumni. This will include but is not limited to using surveys  and research. Develop a systematic approach to holding data (including data protection) and CRM.
• Work with your manager to develop an ambitious approach to how we understand both the impact of our alumni in their roles and our continuing impact on their career.
• Deliver against programme KPIs and continuously drive improvement.
• Deliver and shape a programme of planned communications and marketing to the alumni community to drive engagement.
• Deliver and shape a programme of both in person and virtual events and activities to drive impact. These include but are not limited to:  providing specific services e.g. jobs board, career coaching, networking events.
• Maintain, manage and internally champion our alumni database, ensuring rigorous GDPR rules are adhered to.
• Recruit and support champions from within the alumni network to act as alumni ambassadors.
• Attend professional development activities either at Ada or elsewhere to improve and enhance your own practice, including attending meetings which take place outside of normal working hours.

Essential Qualifications

· Degree level qualification area or appropriate professional experience

Essential Experience

· Experienced at dealing with a range of people in an outward-facing role

· Delivery and management of external events and/ or volunteering projects

· Ability to think critically and analyse data and feedback to modify activity

· Experience of managing and collecting data sets

· Relationship building across a wide range of stakeholders

Desirable Experience

Project management including planning, executing and successfully delivering

· Knowledge of industry, ideally the tech sector, and ideas of how to work with people starting their careers in this area.

Remuneration and Benefits

Salary range £25, 500 - £32,000 depending on location and relevant experience

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Volunteer Coordinator to join our team covering Scotland. Your role will require you to oversee and run the volunteer programme, including recruitment and training of volunteers to support the delivery of contracts.  You will also be supporting the Operational Manager to coordinate and promote VoiceAbilitiy’s volunteer work in the area to meet the needs of the service and those that volunteer.

About you

Desirably you will have some experience of volunteering or, working with volunteers/ vulnerable people, or delivering advocacy.  You will have a knowledge of advocacy in health, social care and other settings and an understanding of the issues affecting adult social care, disability, autism, and mental health service users.

You should also understand safeguarding in relation to volunteering and the people we work with and the social values of volunteering and volunteer projects.

How will you make a difference?

You will be responsible for ensuring that we select the best volunteers for our roles; ensuring that they receive appropriate training and development to ensure that we are delivering the service required by our clients.

You will help to develop appropriate volunteer opportunities to meet the needs of our volunteering service and support the Operations Manager to coordinate and promote VoiceAbility’s volunteering work in Scotland.

You will lead on recruitment, ensuring that safe recruitment practice and appropriate checks are adhered to.  Matching prospective volunteers to appropriate opportunities for them to thrive in and facilitate group supervision and individual wellbeing checks.
