What you’ll do
• Use attention grabbing, creative storytelling to get consumers and businesses to save energy and lower their carbon emissions to help the UK reach net zero.
• Work with multiple internal stakeholders to manage the social media forward planner and ensure all content is appropriately optimised for our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube accounts.
• Work reactively with our press and policy teams to communicate via social our expert position on breaking news and government announcements.
What you’ll bring
• Demonstrable strong experience of delivering a social media strategy and improving awareness and engagement.
• Previous line management experience and delegation in a social media role.
• Superb organisational skills with demonstrable experience of working with multiple internal stakeholders to juggle a busy multi-channel social media request process and calendar.
This is a fixed term, 12-month maternity cover, with an expected start date of 18 November 2024 and end date of 14 November 2025. Our standard weekly hours are 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday. As standard we offer all contracts as blended (home and office-based) working.

About the role
The Ambassador and Media Relations Manager is key to amplifying the work of Help Musicians and its sister charity, Music Minds Matter, through external communications.

The Festival Engagement Manager manages the development and delivery of content for the British Science Festival, Europe’s longest running science festival. They create unique events and cultural experiences which are relevant to our target audience of younger adults who are underrepresented in science. The Manager also supports on the delivery of projects for the UK Science Festivals Network (UKSFN), including managing the ‘Making Connections’ project which aims to engage young people from low socioeconomic backgrounds with science and research.
You will have knowledge and understanding of the UK Science Festivals sector and experience of developing content for festivals or large-scale events. You will have experience of working with scientists and researchers to co-develop content for events and of developing content for audiences who are underrepresented in science or who see science as not for them. You will have excellent project management and planning skills.
Travel to the Festival location will be required for this post, including one week on-site during the Festival (September).

The Role
This is a dynamic new and exciting role which will play a key part in our strategy for development and growth at Link to Change. The role involves managing our apprenticeship schemes, developing, and delivering our income generation strategy, providing business support to our Chief Executive, and collaborating with key partners and stakeholders.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, delivery and evaluation of communication tactics that contribute to the impact of our work, focused on informing and influencing key audiences based upon the charity’s strategies.

The team is made up of seven fundraisers focusing on securing high-value gifts with big impact, both from companies and from trusts and foundations.

As part of our Climate Solutions Partnership with HSBC and the World Resources Institute, WWF-UK has created an exciting Nature-based Solutions Accelerator. The Accelerator is founded on a shared ambition to help remove the barriers to widespread and large-scale adoption of nature-based solutions.
We now have a unique opportunity for a communications expert with an understanding of the nature-based solutions (NbS) or conservation finance space to join us as Knowledge & Communications Manager and support our work in the NbS Accelerator at a crucial point in the project.
As Knowledge & Communications Manager, you will collaborate with colleagues to write outputs from the Accelerator targeted to priority audiences as well as deliver user-friendly external guidance, tools, articles, webinars and events. This may involve overseeing partner suppliers to ensure work is produced on brief, to budget and within deadlines. You will support the development and delivery of the Accelerators’ stakeholder engagement events and create content and articles within the wider Climate Solutions Partnership too. You will also look for opportunities with colleagues to support content commissions, including photography, film or infographics to help illustrate the work of the Accelerator. Important will be the ability to stay up to date with outputs from other accelerators or similar operations for investment in Nature-based Solutions or financing nature restoration.
For this key role, you must have knowledge and an understanding of NbS and conservation and been involved in creating compelling content. Comfortable working in international and specialist teams, within multi-organisational projects and overseeing suppliers, you will have experience running or supporting webinars or events to communicate key messages and engage stakeholders. You will also be effective at synthesising complex technical information and translating this into impactful advice and communications. You will have knowledge of impact investment or sustainable finance in the social or environmental space, multilateral or blended funding or NGO corporate partnerships too.
A confident communicator, you will be effective at influencing others and good at prioritising your workload and building strong external relationships.

Job Purpose
Our mission is to inspire, involve and empower older people in Scotland, and influence others so that people can enjoy better later lives. To help us achieve that, our Individual Giving fundraiser will aim to acquire new donors and maximise income from existing donors.
As an Individual Giving Fundraiser you will plan, develop and implement a programme of individual giving campaigns to acquire new one-off cash and regular donors, secure repeat donations from our warm database and upgrade donors to maximise and grow our induvial giving income.
You will analyse and monitor performance of campaigns and make tactical and strategic recommendations to enhance results using the full marketing mix. You will lead on developing donor journeys for our existing and new supporters ensuring donors feel valued and understand the impact their donations make.

What you’ll do
Individual Giving
· Using a storytelling technique develop and deliver all aspects of direct marketing appeals ensuring effective and emotive copywriting and by working collaboratively with colleagues and external suppliers to deliver within budget and meet income targets.
· Co-ordinate all aspects of Age Scotland’s donor acquisition programme to develop and build our individual donor base using traditional and digital channels.
· Lead the creation and implementation of donor journeys to recruit, retain, upgrade and re-activate donors. Review and make recommendations where appropriate.
· Explore, develop and test new ways of recruiting new donors and generating income.
· Lead the creation of a strategy to re-activate lapsed donors.
· Develop and implement plans to recruits payroll giving donors.
· Work with colleagues throughout the organisation to identify, engage and cross-sell individual giving opportunities to key stakeholder groups.
· Evaluate all campaigns and prepare reports and recommendations for the development of individual giving based on data and insight.
· Provide expertise and guidance on all matters relating to Gift Aid, including maximising income, and work closely with the fundraising and database administrator to ensure gift aid declarations are processed timely and accurately.
· Project and forecast income.
· Support the development of a mid-high level donor strategy.
Fundraising administration and processes
· Work closely with the Fundraising & Marketing Assistant to warmly thank donors for their support and ensure an exceptional level of donor care.
· Capture monthly income from the different individual giving income streams on the fundraising database.
· Lead on tracking individual giving income to meet targets and ensuring costs are within budget.
· Project and forecast income and contribute to annual operating plan.
· Ensure the website is up to date with individual giving fundraising activity.
· Ensure all individual giving activity is run in compliance with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising codes of practice.
· Maintain accurate and up to date records and accept responsibility for the safe and secure handling and storage of confidential information, and in accordance with GDPR and Age Scotland’s own data protection policies.
· Work with the fundraising and database administrator to ensure gift aid claims are processed accurately and timely.
Other Duties
· When required, support in taking donations or setting up regular donations over the phone.
· During peak campaign periods support in the processing of donations.
· Attend, present and participate in events and meetings, as appropriate, to represent and promote Age Scotland’s interests.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that each income stream feeds into and supports others so that funds are maximised.
· Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with relevant legal and regulatory conditions.
