Reporting to the Director of Corporate & Business Services, The Finance Business Partner (FBP) will conduct a key role in bridging the gap between finance and the broader business. The individual will work closely with staff and other key stakeholders to provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and ensure financial targets are met.

The FBP will oversee delivery of core finance operations being the lead point of contact for our outsourced finance provider. The FBP will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, enabling business units to achieve their goals.

Peninsula Care Ltd is a company set up to provide Domiciliary and Dementia support alongside a COGS club. Scope

• To provide management, leadership and direction to ensure all services delivered are safe, effective and of the highest possible quality, promoting individual independence through provision of excellent support.

• To manage the start up of Peninsula Care Ltd and make it a market leader in providing both domiciliary and dementia support whilst following the boards strategy for growth.

Function:

• Contribute and support the company with its Care Quality Commission application process.

• Oversee the aspects of delivery of services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, best practices, and quality assurance protocols alongside demonstrating a market leading approach following the growth strategy put in place.

• Establish and monitor quality assurance, assess the effectiveness of services, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Manage budgetary resources effectively, optimise staffing levels, and coordinate care services to maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Criteria

• Proven experience in a leadership role within the healthcare or social care sector, with a focus on care management.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Insight Manager to lead the delivery of Friends of the Earth’s organisational insight. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a strategic approach that shapes and informs our activity, enabling campaigning, income generation, and marketing activity to achieve maximum impact.

This is a hands-on leadership role. Therefore, strong analytical skills are required, along with the ability to manage a team of analysts and influence strategic direction at the leadership level. Friends of the Earth has invested in strategic data management and reporting over the last few years, resulting in a modern self-service data reporting platform using PowerBI, supported by a data warehouse. The role:

We believe Street Child has a huge opportunity to achieve even more growth in the Corporate Partnerships sector by diversifying our coverage and relationships into new industries and growth markets. The New Business Manager role will play a key role in leading our New Business activity outside of our existing portfolio. Reporting to our recently appointed Senior Manager for Partnership and New Business, your role will involve:

1. Core New Business activity: Researching and development of prospect lists for priority industries to implement New Business campaigns capable of securing multi-year high value partnerships. Responsibility for building Street Child’s network of corporate relationships and growing pipeline of corporate partnership opportunities.

2. Partnership and proposition development: Working closely with our colleagues in the Corporate Partnerships and Global Programme Funding teams to develop engaging and impactful partnership plans and project propositions, focusing on priority countries and programmes to support Street Child’s strategy and mission.

3. Corporate engagement with events: Utilising the portfolio of events Street Child has across the year to engage and steward corporate relationships, including Street Child owned events and external events including the World Economic Forum and UN General Assembly.

4. Supporting on cross-organisational fundraising activations: Leading on new corporate engagement activities, including new fundraising and sponsorship activations, to support cross-organisational initiatives including our Spring Gala, annual Back to School Campaign and other key milestones throughout the year.

Key activities in this role:

• Development of New Business engagement plans – identifying, researching, engaging and cultivating new corporate prospects and relationships;
• Implementing ambitious New Business campaigns to target priority industries, including the oversight of prospecting and marketing mapping activity;
• Management of new business pipeline and prospect lists, including use and maintenance of corporate prospects data on CRM;
• Close collaboration with Partnership Development and Account Management teams to promote best practice corporate donor stewardship and partnership delivery;
• Active networking and attending various international events to maximise New Business opportunities;
• Consistent, proactive New Business activity via Street Child networks and cold approaches;
• Searching for suitable open corporate partnership opportunities/calls to apply to and working with colleagues to submit high quality applications;
• Supporting our corporate advocacy events, including inviting new corporate attendees for Street Child events - and working with colleagues to help plan/strategise Street Child presence as appropriate (including Davos, UNGA);
• Working with colleagues to develop our corporate propositions – both fundraising products and exciting, innovative new project proposals alongside our Programme Funding teams.

3. Developing and maintaining an annual calendar of community fundraising activities.

5. Management and growth of Inspire's entry to mid-level corporate partnerships.

6. Working with delivery team colleagues to ensure funders’ reports are completed on time and to a high standard.

About this role

This new role, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, is an exciting opportunity to join our team who have been supporting adults with learning disabilities for almost 40 years. As we look to the future, we need to consider new opportunities to build partnerships and collaborations to build a strong, resilient network of third-sector organisations in Swindon and the surrounding area.

Main responsibilities

• Work with the trustees, staff, volunteers and members to develop and deliver against a Strategic Business Plan.

• To act as the lead relationship manager with partners on behalf of The Open Door Centre.

• Take responsibility for diversifying fundraising, grants and income streams in line with the strategy and business development plan, be proactive in developing new leads and connections.
• Explore and develop joint grant bids by liaising with external partners to support grant applications that align with our strategic aims.
• Develop, monitor and maintain key systems and processes, such as effective funder reporting and review meetings, and monitoring and reporting on fundraising KPIs.

Skills, competencies and experience

1. Skills and experience in third sector fundraising, preferably including corporate fundraising, funder reporting and grants and confidence in identifying and developing new opportunities.
2. A demonstrable proactive approach to engaging with new and existing funders to set up and develop lasting relationships.
3. Ability to prepare high-quality funding proposals/grant applications and reports, adapting the communication style for different audiences and stakeholders to maximise impact.
4. A skilled communicator (verbal and written) who can gather information and enthuse individuals both internally and externally.
5. The ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities to meet deadlines.
6. Excellent organisational skills with firm understanding of KPIs, targets, budgeting, and risk mitigation plans.

Other information

This post will be a hybrid role with some time spent in the Centre in Gorse Hill, Swindon, some remote work, and attendance at meetings and events in the Swindon area - this could include evenings and weekends.
