About the Team:
The Market Insight team as a part of the Performance, Insight and Innovation department focuses on establishing an insight-led approach to fundraising, campaigning, and influencing, combining the analysis of performance data with market research to deliver recommendations and support for strategy development and optimisation of future activity.
About the Role:
As our collaborative and strategically minded Market Insight Manager you will help to ensure that Communications and Fundraising at WaterAid is driven by insight and deliver the insight that enables strategic decision making.
In this role, you will identify strategic opportunities to attract new audiences and grow engagement from existing audiences as well as enable WaterAid to make insight-driven decisions and enable strategies that deliver sustainable advantage
You'll also:
- Provide insight to power WaterAid's innovation and NPD programmes.
- Provide vital foresight to the organisation by identifying opportunities and threats within the marketplace.
- Champion a culture of data-led and insight-driven decision making across the organisation.
- Build and manage relationships with team leaders across the organisation.
- Lead on planning and implementing the development of our existing competitor intelligence programme.
- To lead initiatives to promote and showcase the Market Insight team's work and impact.
- Lead initiatives to proactively coach and develop fundraising, campaigning and communications team members' skills in understanding the role of market insight
- To manage the end-to-end research process (from requirement gathering to output and implementation) and procurement process for a variety of insight projects.
About You:
- Experienced market research professional with demonstrable experience of driving action and business value from insight
- Considerable experience of market research processes and methodologies, including a proven ability to analyse data and complex information to inform evidence-based decision making;
- Excellent communicator and storyteller with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate research results and conclusions in an inspiring way.
- Experience of influencing decision making among leaders;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capability to build productive relationships across the business, both within the UK and globally, as well as with external researchers, clients and users;
- A collaborative approach and ability to work across teams and matrix structures with ease.
- Proven ability to work to a high standard and with an eye for detail, working under own initiative and managing multiple projects simultaneously;
Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:
- Experience of corporate / B2B research
- Experience of training others to use Market Insight
- Experience of using insight for comms and fundraising purposes in an in-house role
- Empathy with overseas development issues

About the Role
As the Financial Controller you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and report into the Chief Executive Officer. You will lead a small team and manage the relationship with our existing outsourced finance team, payroll provider and auditors to deliver high quality professional finance services to the charity. You will be responsible for the financial systems and processes and ensuring the quality and timeliness of work delivered.
Galop has gone through a period of rapid growth and you will be continuing the work to align its financial practices to its new operating model. Personally, you will be resilient and driven to develop, implement and improve financial policies. You will be working with the Treasurer and SLT to improve financial management and controls. Your financial analysis and reporting skills will be exceptional and you’ll have the ability to manage people setting clear goals and priorities for your team whilst providing support and challenge where needed.
You will work closely with other teams to establish regular, clear, and consistent channels of communication at all levels within the organisation. You will build and maintain strong relationships with senior managers and their teams and will; improve the understanding of charity’s performance; influence decision-making; deliver analysis and insight on business opportunities and support options and scenarios planning including funding applications.

About The Role:
We are looking for a self-motivated and passionate individual to help build our pipeline of trusts and foundations and making the most of our existing supporters and newly identified prospects.

Here's a summary of your key responsibilities:
- To seek out, qualify and secure new foundations to build a sustainable high value new donor and sponsorship pipeline
- Manage pool of foundations, focusing on maximising their support and finding new opportunities to grow their involvement
- Capitalise on the expertise and networks of MQ’s senior volunteers, including working closely with MQ trustees and other Development Team colleagues to maximise existing opportunities for introductions, including the Lord Mayor’s Appeal

About You:
This role is for you, if you have fundraising experience with grants and foundations as well as corporate fundraising and/or new business acquisition experience. This means you will have experience in stewarding and securing new gifts from foundations as well as researching new opportunities to apply for funds.
You will also be skilled in understanding and translating complex information and turning it in to compelling written proposals, for grants, corporate partnerships and major donors.
You will be driven to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and be a sophisticated communicator with the confidence to build relationships with and inspire colleagues and donors.
We do require someone who is proactive, hardworking and results-orientated.
Experience of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge/NXT is desirable but not essential.

The work that we do at the RSPB makes a real difference to the world we live in, and we can't do that without our people. Our Learning and Organisational Development (L&OD) Team are at the heart of this, and we are looking for two experienced, talented professionals to join us.
One role focuses on Management Development and will focus on supporting managers develop their own skills and with developing their teams. This will involve scoping of topics, creating and delivering workshops (in-person and virtual), facilitating action learning sets, as well as creating engaging content and materials such as workbooks, topic guides, worksheets, and job aids.
The other role focuses on our Core Skills area of work and as well as the production and delivery of general core skills content and materials will be involved in developing and delivering content for a development programme aimed at site managers, delivery of career workshops, and will work closely with others in the L&OD team and more widely across the organisation to support local inductions.
Both roles will provide coaching to colleagues within the organisation. The posts will also be working collaboratively with other L&D and HR Advisers, the wider L&OD Team and colleagues across the organisation to create interventions that are engaging and help managers translate theory into practice.

Role summary
In this role, you’ll be a key member of our small leadership team helping to strategically drive engagement, and income generation.The right candidate will need to be highly resilient with exceptional political, negotiation and relationship development skills.This role includes shared responsibility for securing income that not only sustains our own charity but leverages in significant funding for the wider sector.
Through an integrated approach, the role-holder will be responsible for driving forward two key areas:
• Engagement: Leading the engagement team to enhance and develop our alliance model, a network of strategic relationships and opportunities to engage with our thematic communities and our stakeholders, increasing our influence and impact.

Key Duties
We’re looking for a dynamic and inspiring senior individual to strategically lead our Engagement activities, bringing together key existing areas of work.The role will concentrate on two focus areas:
Engagement
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships at the highest levels with a range of key stakeholders such as current and future partner organisations, decision-makers and influencers.
- Raise local and national profile by attending external engagement sessions and networking opportunities both online and in-person, to build brand awareness and to expand the charity’s network of allies, supporters, and influencers, deputising for the CEO when required.
- Host/chair opportunities to engage with stakeholders of all levels on internally prioritised topics via alliance and learning events.
- Lead the team to mobilise activity to ensure presence at key community focussed events, ensuring we reach more people and engage them actively in our work.Ensuring we have the right level of engagement and the right people attend.
- Represent the organisation as appropriate to the VCSE sector, statutory sector, private sector organisations, professional bodies, and institutions deputising for the CEO when required.

Business Development
- Working with the CEO and Director of Operations, to create and deliver an income strategy focussed on meeting VSF funding targets and our aspirations around duration of contracts and grants.Ensure all opportunities to leverage funding for the wider sector are seized.
- Develop strong relationship with key influencers and decision makers within our statutory partner organisations.
- Working with the CEO to lead strategic business development campaigns such as securing second phases of funding for our key funding streams.Be a key face to put to these campaigns.
- Monitor progress against income targets, ensuring an agile approach to mitigating risk and channelling focus of the team in order to maximise return on investment.

About the role

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.
