This main purpose of this role is to lead on initiatives within CSE's fuel poverty and energy advice work, ensuring effective delivery is aligned with CSE’s strategic objectives. Additionally, the role contributes to the organisational development through project oversight, staff management, and collaboration with senior management to drive forward CSE’s fuel poverty work programme and secure future funding.
Pay and conditions
- The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week).
- The salary for the role will be £46,987-£56,283 (starting salary will depend on skills and experience).

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- To contribute significant expertise in fuel poverty support services, energy advice and energy saving interventions to other CSE projects.
- To manage projects with strategic importance within CSE’s work delivering advice on energy and fuel poverty support to a range of householders and liaise with, and report to project partners and funders on a timely basis.
- All projects are delivered in an effective, timely and resource efficient manner, and in accordance with the needs and priorities of both fuel poverty stakeholders and partners and the needs of clients and funders.
- Effective learning processes and practices are embedded in project development and delivery cycles; we are clear and honest about our strengths and weaknesses; and that key evidence is shared and used to inform the development and prioritisation of future projects.
- Work with the Director of HES to develop the organisation’s business plan for the year ahead, forecasting staffing needs and helping to establish the yearly budget for the team.
- To oversee key aspects of delivery in the HES advice portfolio, including project monitoring and evaluation and supporting senior staff in their work.
- To lead the development of new project proposals, contributing realistic methods and accurate costing forecasts (including staff time and direct costs) and bringing project partners on board where necessary.
- To work with project managers to cultivate strategic positive relationships both locally and nationally to help realise funding opportunities to sustain and grow our work and impact, in line with CSE’s strategic objectives.
- To develop partnerships and liaise with a range of stakeholders, potentially including other advice agencies, local authorities, voluntary sector associations and housing associations.
- To hold the role of Work Programme Lead for the Fuel Poverty & Vulnerable Customer Work Programme.

About the role
We are excited to be advertising this newly created role as part of WGN’s growth. This role will be the lead on the finance function. Reporting into the Director of Finance and Resources, the role works closely with stakeholders across the organisation including executive leadership, with a specific focus on working closely with the Director and external auditors. The role will have two direct reports – Finance Business Partner and Senior Finance Officer. This is a hands-on role and will have full responsibility for the finance function on a day to day and medium-term basis. The Financial Controller is to lead on all financial systems set up and upgrades.

Key Details

We’re looking for an Events and Community Fundraising Officer to join our team
Salary: £30,000
Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid
Hours: Full time and permanent. 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am – 6pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

The role also gives you the chance to show why discovery research is vital to starting new cancer cures, and as a highly collaborative charity, your colleagues will be eager to share their expertise with you.

The Role
What will I be doing?
- Provide key support to the Governance, Audit & Risk Manager on the IOP’s governance programme, including the organisation of Council Meetings and Core Governance Committee meetings, and the distribution of agendas and papers on the IOP’s Board Portal
- Be a key point of contact for the IOP’s Trustees and Committee Members, providing support and maintaining trustee information
- Support with the IOP’s annual Council Elections and AGM
- Support with the smooth running of the Group Internal Audit Programme
- Support the Compliance & Data Protection Manager with managing compliance with key policies and procedures.
Projects you work on may include:
- Quarterly Council and Committee Meetings, including one Council meeting held elsewhere in the UK
- Preparation or the IOP’s Annual Council Elections Process, whereby new trustees are elected by the IOP membership each year
- Helping with the IOP’s Annual General Meeting, including the preparation of the member notice and voting materials and ensuring the event runs smoothly on the day
- Five Internal Audits per year, determined by the Group Audit & Risk Committee

- IOP’s Council Members and Committee Members

The Role:

We are actively looking to engage a Senior Project Finance and Risk Advisor (SPFRA) to join the Programme Finance Team here in the UK. This opportunity is offered on a two year fixed-term contract which is renewable.
About the role
The SPFRA, reports to the Head of Programme Finance and focuses in supporting and advising on project financial management and donor compliance to key stakeholders across the organisation. As a specialist role the post-holder has detailed understanding of the rules and regulations of an increasingly large portfolio of donors including USAID, the EC, FCDO and SCB[1] and a wide range of other smaller-scale funders.
This role is integral in supporting and advising teams and stakeholders throughout key stages of Sightsavers’ project life-cycles through to close-out and exit. The post-holder ensures project financial planning, monitoring and reporting are delivered on time and to a very high standard. The role also provides support to Sightsavers’ overall project financial management processes through capacity building and key projects/ objectives.
Key accountabilities but not limited to:
- Project cycle; financial management support and advice, project design and proposal development, project start-up and inception, implementation and close-out/ exit.
- Capacity building; identifying gaps and challenges and generating/ implementing the capacity building plan.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Data analysis plays a key part in supporting City Harvest growth and success. We are investing in our technology and data and are now in the process of consolidating several business applications onto the Dynamics 365 platform and standardising Power BI as a reporting tool.
We are recruiting for a Data & Impact Analyst to join the Finance and Data team. This is a new role to our charity which will act as an interface to other departments, to provide meaningful data and insights into the impactful work that we do.
ABOUT YOU
You will be a trained and technically skilled data analyst, experienced with Power BI as a reporting tool and familiar with Dynamics 365 as a CRM platform. This role requires confidence in working across different areas including data management and reporting, systems administration and maintenance. You will be able to effectively demonstrate and present your findings into meaningful data insights, actions and conclusions.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be rolled out in the first few months of 2025, and you will be involved in its roll-out and implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Database Maintenance and Development
• Database development, administration and maintenance, using Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Support improving and developing data quality processes, carry out regular audits to identify and correct gaps and issues.

Database Analytics, Reporting and Impact
• Develop comprehensive impact reporting and KPI frameworks using Power BI and Excel, tracking the effectiveness of our charitable activity.
• Support Fundraising, Food, Community Impact and other departments by creating reports that provide meaningful insights from data, contributing to informed decision-making and strategy formulation. Supporting the Senior Leadership Team with actionable insights to drive improvements.

Supporting launch and roll-out of Microsoft Dynamics, while using existing legacy systems
• Support the build, launch, and roll-out of Microsoft Dynamics across the organisation during the first half of 2025.
• Use the existing legacy database systems to perform financial analysis and produce reports to support other departments with their data needs.

• Working with the IT support provider to help with IT infrastructure and systems.
