The role is a hybrid position that will require travel in the UK including to the UKHQ Finance Department in Sandy Bedfordshire, and to attend meetings in the support of your directorate.

We are looking for two qualified accountants to join our Financial Planning and Reporting team. Both positions are as Finance Business Partners, supporting two key areas of the organisation: one will be supporting our Income and Conservation Investment Directorate; and the other supporting colleagues in the UK Countries Directorate more specifically for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Both are key roles within the team working in income generation, and direct conservation areas.

What's the role about: 

As a Finance Business Partner you will work proactively with senior colleagues to provide an added-value service of financial support to our Directorates. In addition to a strong management accounting background, you will understand the difference that can be made through strong business partnering relationships and be confident in building those relationships. You will gain the respect and confidence of the colleagues you support through strong communication skills (written and oral) and your ability to constructively challenge ideas and plans. You will add value through gaining an intimate understanding of the Directorate that you partner, together with contributing to business performance and the requirements of the finance function with the charity's need.

You will be a fully qualified accountant with up-to-date technical knowledge and a desire to progress in your profession. We will want the successful candidate to influence change and use their skill set to further drive the organisation's objectives forward. You will also be comfortable working under pressure, to tight deadlines, and interacting with people at all levels inside the RSPB. 

Essential skills, knowledge and experience: 

• CIMA or equivalent qualification.

• Sound knowledge of technical accounting legislation

• Ability to act as a critical-friend to senior management balancing challenge and support. Develop effective working relationships that influence and challenge senior management teams, so that the role of the Finance Business Partner is an integral and valued part of the organisation.

Job Description

The Head of Finance Business Partnering will:

• Lead financial planning and the production of the Force's Medium-Term Resource Strategy and Capital Programme Plan, ensuring alignment with the Strategic Planning Cycle.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Head of Finance Business Partnering will be/have:

• Qualified Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (C.C.A.B.) or CIMA accountant.
• Recent experience of working within a finance business partnering model or the ability to demonstrate an awareness of what is required to deliver the outcomes of the model.
• Understand personal and professional strengths and development needs and be able to evidence the steps taken to enhance your continuing professional development.
• Ability to interpret complex or detailed legislation, policy or strategy documents to identify financial implications and provide insightful financial advice.
• Strong commercial acumen with the desire to help drive business performance and show the wider business how finance can add value on a day-to-day basis.

Principal Responsibilities

• Working collaboratively with the Board of Directors, the Senior Leadership Team and staff, develop and ensure the effective implementation of a vision and strategy for Aberlour that satisfies the core purpose.

What the job involves

As part of the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll support the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Branding by directing the Business Partnering team, and developing and embedding our Business Partnering model.

You’ll partner with senior leaders and product owners to act as a supportive enabler of their communications objectives, and ensuring they’re actively engaged in the development of communications strategies, objectives and plans. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.

You’ll guide the planning process for projects and campaigns to build awareness of risk, tackle health inequalities and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer. As part of this role, you’ll also be managing a team of two.

Please note this role is known internally as Senior Communications Business Partner (HSEI & Research).

What we want from you

In this role you’ll be leading a new team of Business Partners and a Communications Planning Manager to ensure Prostate Cancer UK’s communications are well-planned, integrated (where appropriate), and effective. That means you’ll need a strong understanding of high-impact communications business partnering and planning, using an agile, flexible, and fast-paced approach.

You’ll also excel at building trust and connections with community groups, ideally with experience in reaching, engaging, and activating high-risk communities.

Prior experience and knowledge of devising and delivering big multi-channel campaigns – including PR, social media, communications and marketing would be an asset. You’ll be a strategic influencer who understands how positive, coordinated relationship management drives performance alongside an outstanding communicator – who’s confident and good at communicating complex technical information to general audiences.

How we work with Employers and Higher Education Institutions

At Unifrog, we partner with universities and employers to help them connect with our global network of highly engaged students, teachers and careers leaders.

The role and responsibilities

As New Business Lead for Employer and HE Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in driving Unifrog’s growth in our employer and higher education markets. You’ll need to be target driven to help create a wider network of universities and employers to support Unifrog students from around the world to find their best next step.

You will be given support by both the HE and Employer teams but will also have the autonomy to lead your own campaigns and projects. 

You will be able to develop your skills, strengths and interests. We always look to make space for our team to grow within the company, and we have a general policy of promoting within.

Your key responsibilities:

• Design tailored campaigns involving emails, phone calls, webinars and social media, to target employers and higher education institutions in a smart and engaging way.

• Communicate with interested employers and higher education institutions to explain the work we do at Unifrog and the partnerships we offer in a compelling manner to secure online demonstrations for our Employer and Higher Education Partnership Managers.

• Attend conferences (sometimes overseas) to promote the work we do at Unifrog and network with relevant stakeholders in the employer and higher education sectors.

• Be the first port of call for partnership/collaboration enquiries from employers and higher education institutions.

• Work with our team of Employer and Higher Education Partnership Managers to understand the challenges they face and how you can support them in growing their partner bases.

• Analyse data from the Unifrog platform to inform your research around suitable higher education institutions and employers that we don’t work with but who would benefit from a partnership with us. 

• Support with other projects such as organising conferences, analysing our competitors, and reviewing our marketing collateral.

• Communicate information about our line up of online and in-person events to non-partner HE institutions, to secure their attendance at these events.

Working together

You’ll be working with the HE and Employer teams, alongside the Partnerships Director for International Schools and HE (who will be your line manager), the Partnerships Director for UK Schools and Employers, the Head of Employer Partnerships, and the Head of HE Partnerships. Your projects will also see you collaborating closely with the Marketing team.

About the role

We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with great personality and team ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.

This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation, and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.

You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver a legendary experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.

We are lucky enough to have some of our most committed supporters in the area, but there is still so much opportunity to grow support across the counties. You will have an incredible opportunity to build relationships with not only those who have been supported by the charity, but our incredible services team members who support children and young people treated out of University College Hospital and Great Ormond Street hospital.

The role of FP&A Manager critical in driving our financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring that our resources are strategically allocated to maximise impact.

Our ideal candidate will support the delivery of the Club Development programme for TeamUCL and provide support and guidance for student leaders, enabling them to run their clubs effectively. The right candidate will also support with the delivery of the TeamUCL communications strategy. The successful role holder will proactively assist sports clubs in developing sports participation opportunities and performance pathways for identified target groups through development planning.

This is a full time and permanent role. This role is also a hybrid working role, where 40% of the role will be based on campus.

We’re looking for a passionate and strategic Local Nature Partnership (LNP) Manager to lead a powerful, cross-sector movement for nature’s recovery. You’ll be at the heart of a dynamic partnership, working with local authorities, government bodies, farmers, businesses, eNGOs, and communities to champion biodiversity, unlock green finance, and deliver sustainable, nature-based solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead at the landscape scale where you’ll be influencing policy, helping to facilitate nature recovery, and securing long-term investment in nature. You'll drive collaboration, run major strategic programmes such as, water resilience and health & access, and ensure everyone benefits from thriving, accessible green spaces.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the strategic development and delivery of the Local Nature Partnership across Wiltshire & Swindon
• Developing and implementing three core work programmes including Local Nature Recovery & Green Finance, Water Resilience, and Health, Wellbeing & Access
• Facilitate cross-sector collaboration, engaging landowners, public bodies, NGOs, and communities
• Influence local and national policy and promote nature-based solutions through advocacy and communications
• Represent the LNP at high-level meetings, forums, and in the media
• Secure sustainable funding for the LNP and manage budgets effectively
• Support the implementation of the Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) and develop investable propositions
• Produce annual impact and "State of Nature" reports, tracking progress and driving accountability
