We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Manager to help coordinate, plan and deliver Peace Direct’s 2025 global peacebuilding gathering to be held in Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events from inception to completion. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to ensure the seamless execution of events.

This brand new role is a 14 month contract specifically developed to deliver and roll out the event. Along with two Event Assistants under your direction, you will be responsible for managing and implementing the programme, including handling travel arrangements (100+ bookings), including flights, hotels, and transportation. You will have a solid background evidencing strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build a smooth rapport with internal and external stakeholders critical to the success of the event. Stakeholders will include local suppliers, peacebuilders, funders and direct engagement with the venue and service providers and key donors.

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail to ensure a high professional standard is maintained - even under work pressures - and with budget management experience of large projects (exceeding $250k), ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial and time constraints.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive income generation strategy aligned with The Kirkwood's goals.

• Lead the strategy to build The Kirkwood Movement, enhancing awareness, care outreach, and inspiring support.
• Create and nurture connections within The Kirkwood Movement to deepen engagement.
• Collaborate across The Kirkwood Movement to integrate income generation opportunities into daily operations.

Executive:

• Partner with the Executive Team to devise and deliver strategies that ensure sustainable growth in care provision.
• Establish policy frameworks and operational methods that support strategic objectives.
• Uphold and promote The Kirkwood Culture and Values.
• Serve as the key advocate for donors, ensuring their interests are prioritised in all activities.
• Oversee internal and external communication strategies and represent The Kirkwood in media and public events.
• Maintain strong relationships with the Board of Trustees and lead interactions with the Income Generation & Marketing Committee.
• Support Executive Management Team members and contribute to committee activities as needed.
• Contribute to the development of the 5-year strategic plan and long-range financial forecast.

Departmental:

• Support departmental leads in crafting and implementing strategies for Fundraising, Retail & Trading, Media & Marketing, Business Development, and Programme Development.
• Propose, monitor, and achieve ambitious annual budgets for income generation.
• Deliver an exceptional supporter experience that drives acquisition, retention, and maximises supporter lifetime value through stellar stewardship.
• Inspire and lead a motivated team, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability for income generation goals.
• Develop and deliver ambitious plans across the core spectrum of Income Generation activity that includes (but not limited to) legacy fundraising, individual giving, major donors and patronage, digital fundraising, retail footprint, corporate partnership development and community fundraising.
• Attract, recruit, and retain top talent within the income generation and marketing team, ensuring a diverse and skilled workforce.

What will my main duties be?

With the support of the Assistant Director of Operations:

Volunteer recruitment:

• To develop a volunteer recruitment plan to meet programme and organisational need; and to work closely with the corporate partnerships team and programme and regional managers to implement the recruitment plan, for example working with the Heads of Mentoring to implement a university student recruitment plan for the Mentoring programme
• To deliver guidance and training to support local IntoUniversity centres to implement the recruitment plan, including working with universities and community organisations
• To manage volunteer enquiries and national recruitment channels, such as volunteering sites and networks

Volunteer onboarding

• To use the charity’s Salesforce database to manage the volunteer pipeline - from application, to selection and training, to centre allocation
• To manage the process of onboarding steps including application form, training, Safer Recruitment checks, and support local IntoUniversity centres to implement the onboarding process consistently
• To work with the programmes and delivery team to ensure efficient induction takes place and to ensure staff are recording all volunteering activity on Salesforce

Volunteer training

• To implement a high-quality volunteer training programme for regular volunteer roles, including: organisation of a training schedule and staffing; facilitation of training (alongside delivery staff); providing guidance and training to staff to deliver volunteer training; reviewing training resources and facilitation

Volunteer experience:

• To provide support, resources, and training to centre staff and programme managers to ensure quality volunteer management throughout the volunteer lifecycle
• To implement volunteer development and recognition strategies to ensure volunteers feel valued as part of the IntoUniversity team and to support centre teams to build lasting relationships with volunteers to support retention
• To develop best practice in volunteering across IntoUniversity, including reviewing and evaluating current practice in the sector

Internal collaboration

To drive a joined up approach to managing volunteering within the charity, including:

• To work with the HR team to align staff and volunteer policies and processes, and support local teams to implement them consistently across the network

The Health Information and Content Manager will be responsible for the charity’s information provision, ensuring it is relevant, evidence based, accessible and meets the needs of everyone affected by primary bone cancer.  Leading on both the maintenance of the formal production process and the development of new resources across different formats, including video and webinar content.

Purpose of the job

 You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of a portfolio of evaluation and learning projects. This will involve conducting research in-house, as well as managing external research partners.  The Impact Function will not evaluate programmes in isolation but rather help to build a cumulative knowledge base that proves and improves the impact of UK Youth’s activities and youth work more generally. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Trusts Fundraiser to contribute significantly to the development of income generation at Raystede. You will expand our existing programme of Trusts support by creating persuasive applications and undertaking effective research, with the aim of securing funding for a variety of core costs and capital projects.

This is an exciting role as you will help our Funders to engage deeply with our work, and the lives of the animals in our care, as you present tailored cases for support and gratifying evaluations.

An excellent storyteller with a keen eye for detail, you will be able to interpret financial data and funding criteria, as well as strategically plan for existing and future funding needs. You may have experience of Trusts in another fundraising role, or perhaps you’re also an animal-loving fundraiser, or someone who researches, complies and writes reports professionally.

You will also be responsible for setting up a stewardship plan for Trust Supporters and building and maintaining relationships over the phone, through written communications, and on-site or at events. You will be supported in delivering excellent stewardship.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will have autonomy to plan your time and manage and grow the Trusts & Foundations pipeline. You will be encouraged to take an innovative approach to stewardship and be supported to continue your professional development.

About Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare

Raystede is a charity that aims to give animals a better life through rehoming, rehabilitation and sanctuary, and give people the support and knowledge they need to treat animals with care and respect. Raystede is Sussex’s biggest animal welfare charity, with nearly 70 years’ experience of caring for and rehoming animals. Uniquely, we care for a huge range of animals - from dogs, cats and donkeys to rabbits, parrots and alpacas. Our experience, expertise and partnerships enable us to deliver an exceptional quality of care for the animals we help. Many of the animals have been neglected, abused or exploited. Raystede helps most of the animals find new homes but also provides life-long sanctuary for elderly horses and other animals that cannot be rehomed. We are looking to recruit two Visitor Experience Supervisor's to join our team based at our London site. You will join us on a part time, annualised contract working 1250 hours per year and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £20,666.56 per annum.

In the role of Visitor Experience Supervisor, you will be leading from the front to ensure every aspect of our visitor journey is enjoyable and safe. You will work with all departments to ensure the balance of visitor experience and collection protection is maintained. You will also manage the team to maximise their potential and engage with our customers.

The two positions will initially be allocated to support either events or compliance, to support the operational team and liaise with stakeholders as needed.

The position requires excellent communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic aptitude to deliver effective site operations and team leadership.

As a Visitor Experience Supervisor, you will have a variety of roles which will include:

• Actively engaging the front of house (FoH) team of Visitor Experience Assistants (VEA) and volunteers, and staff and volunteers from other departments, to provide an exceptional visitor experience, excelling in customer service and interaction, and assist the empowerment of others to deliver the same aims and objectives
• As nominated the post holder will lead on specific areas of the FoH team’s work, engaging with other teams as required. Supervise the front of house activities of VEAs and volunteers. Ensure the delivery of appropriate customer care and presentational standards in accordance with the expectations of the Museum.
• Being expected to manage/oversee the performance, development and welfare of a subset of VEAs and/or volunteers, and may themselves be required to undertake routine VEA duties when cover is required. manage, coach and support VEAs in the delivery of a first-class visitor experience
• Acting as the Site Coordinator in emergencies and the Duty Manager when required to do so
• Helping to ensure that all front of house staff are customer-focused, motivated and empowered
• Ensuring the support/ delivery of front of house sales and fundraising activities to maximise financial return and meet specified targets
• Ensuring that agreed safety, security and surveillance measures are being followed. Report all incidents and ‘near misses’ to the appropriate person
• Utilising available staff resources flexibly to meet the needs of the business. Ensure that appropriate front of house staff resources are available on the day to support corporate, public and formal events, and provide general logistical support
• Supporting and implementing museum initiatives re environmental sustainability

Job Purpose

The Tutoring Plus Coordinator post is an exciting role with Tutor Trust that provides an opportunity for candidates to grow and develop new and existing skillsets. The role involves a combination of people-facing and administrative tasks, including: forming and maintaining strong relationships with school contacts, tutors, parents, Virtual School teams and other key stakeholders; leading introductory and review meetings; coordinating tuition sessions, registers, school invoices and tutor payment; liaising with local authorities and alternative provision settings to provide support for pupils who are Looked after or in alternative provision.

Coordinators’ main responsibilities are working with schools and tutors to organise tuition and ensure that its everyday delivery is efficient and properly recorded. The Tutor Trust is committed to monitoring the impact of tuition and is therefore highly data-driven in approach, whilst also being dedicated to a hands-on and personal approach with partners. This combination provides a balance to the role that enables candidates to explore various aspects of coordination and cultivate numerous transferable skills.

 You will also have the opportunity to support the tutor recruitment and training process and help to ensure that it runs smoothly. You will maintain and improve systems for the benefit of all our tutors, including ongoing tutor support.

Main Functions

· Advertise and allocate tuition to tutors, conduct induction meetings with tutors to determine any additional training needs for assignments and attend meetings with providers to set up and monitor on-going tuition assignments. This includes leading meetings in schools, alternative provision settings and in homes

· Recording, monitoring and approving tuition sessions and their outcomes (feedback and baseline/endpoint assessments) using The Tutor Trust’s sophisticated CRM

· Attend and occasionally lead partnership meetings with TLC, Prince’s Trust and other charities to discuss the progress of the projects and the children and families within it. This includes meeting with social workers and other key contacts

· Provide administrative support for The Tutoring Plus team in both internal and external meetings

· Assist with external communication

· Take part in general induction presentations and other events to promote the Tutor Trust both internally and externally

· Ensure that the appropriate Impact Data is collected from both tutors and providers. This enables our Quality and Impact Team to gather vital evidence of the progress children make when receiving tuition

· Provide timely and accurate reports on Tutoring Plus tuition progress for both team and external meetings

· Organise cover for tutors that are absent due to sickness, exams etc.

· Promote The Tutor Trust tuition services to AP and LAC providers across Greater Manchester, Merseyside and West Yorkshire.

· Help with preparation for The Tutor Trust events aimed at a range of stakeholders

· Be involved in the recruitment process for tutors, including short listing, interviewing and training

· Assist other staff to complete a variety of administrative tasks that enable the Trust to operate effectively and efficiently

· Any other duties commensurate with the grade and nature of the post

Person Specification

 Good candidates for this role will be high achievers, with excellent IT and English skills, diplomatic and inter-personal skills, and plenty of initiative.

· Educated to degree level or can demonstrate experience of administrative skills in a previous role (either paid or voluntary)

· Excellent communication skills with ability to establish a rapport and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and from all sectors

· The ability to work under pressure to cope with multiple demands and deadlines, to work fast and to a consistently high standard
