The Role

As our Director of Finance and Operations, you will provide strategic oversight of finance and operations, ensuring our financial sustainability and viability. The role is part of our Strategy and Leadership Council (SLC) and Operations Committee (OC), supporting the delivery of our Manifesto, which provides a renewed approach to impact and achieving our mission.

Supporting the delivery of our strategy and transformation agenda, you’ll deliver advice to senior leadership and provide strategic direction to our Finance, IT and Operations/Facilities Teams.

You will also lead our annual business budgeting and planning processes, working closely with the Executive Director (ED), Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Director of Strategy and Learning to allocate resources and report regularly on financial and risk related issues.

Additionally, you will:

- Report regularly to the Finance, Audit and Risk Assessment Board sub-committee.
- Identify the risks and opportunities to inform IIED’s future sustainability as well as driving improvements to support our vision.
- Oversee treasury management and manage our reserves.
- Have oversight of key bids to ensure commerciality and alignment between financial goals and strategic business priorities.
- Ensure adequate overhead recovery from funding arrangements.
- Lead on the development and improvement of financial policies, processes, and systems.
- Lead on the statutory audit process and be responsible for third-party audits.
- Coach and supervise direct reports.

- Leading implementation and upgrade of ERP systems
- Building strong relationships across a diverse and international stakeholder map
- Operating within the international and regulatory landscape in which IIED operates, with an understanding of VAT partial exemption and the application of VAT legislation to a global organisation

Citadel is a volunteer-led project preventing homelessness by helping people find or sustain their tenancies and establish a home. Volunteers, once recruited, trained and DBS checked are matched with those referred for support. Co-ordinators and volunteers work closely with those referred to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.

Refuge Manager 

Salary: £40,221, 5 days a week

The Refuge Manager post is instrumental in the delivery of care, a safe environment and a comprehensive package ofservices that meet the needs of the MENA women at risk of VAWG in our refuges. Lambourne End Centre are looking to recruit a Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator.  The post holder will be responsible for raising revenue and capital funds primarily from trusts, companies and through organising fundraising events to support the work of the Centre. The role is based within the Ministries: Vocations and Worship (MVW) team of the Connexional Team of the Methodist Church in Britain, which exists to equip the Methodist Church by training, developing and supporting those called by God to serve in lay and ordained ministry embedding the strategies which support the Church’s aspiration to be inclusive, justice seeking, evangelistic and growing.

Within the team, the DLM will be responsible for:
• working with the Head of Ministries and Learning and in collaboration with others with regards to learning and development for all forms of authorised ministry in the Church’s life
• working with the Director of Ministry Development, for overseeing the development, implementation, evaluation and review of pathways and courses for lay and ordained ministry training.
• formal relationships between the Methodist Council and Methodist-related learning institutions.
• working with the Director of Ministry Development to offer strategic leadership and support to the work of the whole MVW Team
• working with the Director of Research and Scholarship and others, to take a lead on the promotion and oversight of opportunities for higher level academic study for ministers and lay people
