The Role

Each day you will travel to different venues, set up an attractive fundraising stand, and spend the day actively engaging with members of the public, spreading awareness about our conservation efforts and inspiring individuals to become lifelong members. 

Don't worry if you're not a wildlife expert yet – you will be provided with comprehensive training to equip you with all the knowledge you need. Plus, you'll enjoy the added perk of a company van, with fuel and parking costs paid for.

What's even better? You'll have the flexibility to choose a contract between 3 to 5 days per week, and enjoy the stability of a set salary, rather than working on commission. The new Group Finance Director will play a crucial role in overseeing MCF’s financial strategy, ensuring the charity’s long-term viability, and managing assets in excess of £400M. Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Advising the Chief Executive and Board on financial strategy, ensuring comprehensive financial planning, accurate reporting, and compliance.
• Investment Management: Developing and managing MCF’s investment strategy, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
• Relief Chest Operation: Overseeing the management of the Relief Chest, a key operation that handles charitable donations from Masonic units across the country.

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate must be a professionally qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience and a proven track record of contributing to financial strategy and decision-making at Board level, (ideally in the charity or not-for-profit sector). You will have robust Financial Management skills, experienced in overseeing financial operations within an SME organisation, balancing financial operations with a strategic outlook and the leadership skills to manage, inspire and influence your team and colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability. The post-holder will be an exceptional communicator, astute decision maker and capable of inspiring transformation in an organisation undergoing exciting change.

Our client is seeking a Head of Development to lead the creation, development and delivery of the Museum’s fundraising strategy. The Head of Development will identify and meet funding requirements for large capital projects and lead the growth of recurring funding income from members, patrons and legacies. This includes compliance responsibility for fundraising governance, processes, budgeting and developing resources to grow both restricted and unrestricted funds.

What will you be doing?

As the Museum’s funding specialist, you will create, develop and deliver the Museum’s fundraising strategy, generating income from trusts and foundations, individuals, public and statutory bodies and any other appropriate fundraising sources. Your responsibilities include:

• Establishing sustainable relationships with major funders, partners and potential donors.
• Articulate a clearly defined ‘case’ for supporting the Museum.

The Senior Youth and Play Worker will play a pivotal role in the Children, Young People and Families team, working as the senior practitioner and ensuring the smooth running of all our programmes and services. • Achieved their full accountancy qualification.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse numbers critically, extracting pertinent information for management.
