An exciting position has arisen to join the fundraising team at Support Through Court - a small social justice charity that packs a big punch. We help increase access to justice for those who, due to severe cuts to legal aid, are forced to face the Civil and Family courts alone and without legal representation, often in life-changing cases such as domestic violence, eviction, and debt. 

This role helps raise vital funds for the charity from partnerships with corporates in the legal world.  You will steward corporate partners, create funding applications and marketing materials, and run events to engage new and existing supporters.

As a small charity, good development opportunities and tailored support are available for staff. We offer flexible working and most fundraising staff have hybrid working arrangements with two days a week at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London, WC2A 2LL.

About the Service 
Hertfordshire Mind Network has had a Domestic Abuse Service in Three Rivers since 2017. The aim of the Domestic Abuse Casework Service is to provide advice, information, and support to survivors of intimate partner or familial violence living in the community about the range, effectiveness, and suitability of options to improve their safety and that of their children. All advice will be based on a thorough understanding and assessment of risk and its management.

About the Role 
You will be line managed by the Domestic Abuse Service Team Leader for Hertfordshire Mind Network but will manage your own workload, prioritising tasks and working on your own initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the wellbeing of clients who are affected by domestic abuse.
• Improve risk management and safety for clients
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients
• Contribute to a reduction in repeat victimisation
• Reduce the number of victims withdrawals of witness statements
• Increase the reporting of children at risk of harm
• Put any necessary safeguards in place
• Increase successful court outcomes by proactively supporting clients
• Work with other professionals e.g. police, health, social care, housing, and signpost and liaise with such agencies as necessary
• To agree and record safety plans made with clients as well as suggesting other alternate appropriate areas of support to ensure clients are receiving some sort of support or engagement with services.
• Receive referrals and undertake appropriate risk assessments and make direct contact within 48 hours of referral.
• To refer to the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) if required and local IDVA service.
• Work with the wider team within Hertfordshire Mind Network and support clients in accessing additional support e.g. counselling, peer support, employment support and self-development courses.

ASH Co-op is a thriving tenant-managed housing co-op in Cambridge. We have two part-time staff and are looking for a focused, committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic person to take the role on to cover for maternity leave to start from late September. 

This is a varied front-line role involving collecting rent and taking enquiries, including maintenance requests and applications for membership. It also involves monitoring budgets, some basic accounting and general office administration. You must be IT literate with a good working knowledge of excel and will ideally have previous experience of housing work, or a similar office environment.

The successful applicant will be able to work Tuesdays and spread remaining hours across other weekdays between 8am-7pm when needed. The core office opening hours are 9.30am- 5pm. This role is being offered on a 13 month fixed contract.

Our purpose-built 3-story base in Brixton houses recording studios, a band rehearsal space, a production suite with top industry standard tech and software. Our work takes place mainly onsite with some community-based work in hospitals or at events.

This opportunity comes at a really exciting time for Raw Material. We are soon returning to our own building which by the end of 2024 will be refurbished via a £1.1m capital fundraising campaign to improve our operational capabilities and develop income generation opportunities and new facilities for the community, with a coworking offer and an increased hires and events programme.

The role

This is an exciting time to be joining UK Youth. We have recently been through a strategy refresh and are now better positioned to deliver on our ambitions that all young people are equipped to thrive and empowered to contribute at every stage of their lives.

This role will lead design projects to shape UK Youth’s support to young people and professionals working with young people. This could include structured youth work programmes, grant funds, professional development programmes, and campaigns.

You will be confident in taking a human-centred-design approach to tackle some of the youth sector’s knottiest problems. You will help to improve the skills and confidence of colleagues across UK Youth to apply design methods in their own work. 

In 2024, our priority topics for youth work programmes and network development are: mental health, employability, youth social action, outdoor learning and physical literacy. 

You will work closely the research, evaluation, policy, service delivery, network development, and fundraising teams. You will meaningfully involve young people and the professionals who support them in the design process. 

You will design solutions to important problems, ensuring that they are feasible, equitable, and impactful.

Experience we're after

• Experience of leading the design of interventions (digital and/or physical) for young people and/or those who support them. 

• Experience of developing proposals to time-limited funding opportunities, including the development of theories of change, project budgets and proposal narratives.

• Experience of managing projects across the end-to-end design process; using human-centred-design methods and mindsets.

• Experience of developing high quality youth work programme content and curricula for young people, youth workers and/or outdoor learning instructors (desirable).

• Experience of designing and delivering professional development programmes (desirable).

• Experience of people management (desirable).
