We are seeking an experienced fundraiser to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives. The post-holder will lead on growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement and fulfilling operational duties, such as overseeing a fit-for-purpose database.
This is a new role with a significant input into our plans and strategies for the future. The successful candidate will report to the CEO and oversee most fundraising income generation.
The Fundraiser will build positive relationships to secure significant income, develop links specifically with churches and individuals and bring in regular/targeted income through recurring donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Churches, Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising (database, compliance with codes of practice and fundraising regulations, creating campaigns). Through this, you will assist the whole organisation in our commitment to showing kindness, raising self-belief and inspiring hope for the future in the individuals we serve.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with Senior Leadership Team to develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for Pecan.
- Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to Pecan’s supporters.
- Assist with setting up a CRM database with responsibility and maintaining appropriate data capture for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
- Work with Senior Leadership to develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
- Pioneer and develop a broad range of relationships with churches, organisations, and denominations across Southwark, with support from the CEO.
Key Requirements (specific skills, qualifications required):
- Experience of all fundraising methods
- Excellent strategic planning skills and able to balance competing priorities
- Experience working on either eTapestry, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce or Donorfy CRM systems
- Research skills, including identifying, analysing, and monitoring potential funders
Desirable knowledge/expertise
- Degree level qualification / Marketing, Finance or CRM qualification
- Working knowledge of local church culture

About the team
Our Strategy Enablement directorate brings together five core enabling support functions - Finance, Tech & Data, Governance, Planning and Property and HR Delivery, where this particular role sits. The HR Delivery team partners and supports a wide range of organisational activities and provides advice and guidance to over 1,200 staff on a range of employee relations issues like employee engagement, recruitment and selection, reward, and recognition etc. We also manage payroll processes, ensure HR policies and procedures are developed and updated and play our part in organisational change projects and transfers. About the role
As a Resourcing & Talent Specialist, you’ll be responsible for supporting and delivering against our people sourcing strategy to reduce cost per hire and build our employment brand. This will involve providing end-to-end resourcing support and advice across a range of disciplines and levels and playing a key role in resourcing campaigns from concept through to delivery. But that’s not all. We’ll also rely on you to take co-ownership for the management of our careers website and support the implementation and ongoing management of our Applicant Tracking System, including managing the reporting of vacancies and capturing all activity for consolidation and analysis.

Maintaining a healthy and supportive relationship with family while in prison is crucial to reducing reoffending rates and improving rehabilitation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executive Support:
- Manage the Founder’s inbox, draft and send emails on their behalf, and schedule appointments.
- Arrange and coordinate meetings for the Founder with internal and external parties.
Financial Management:
- Oversee online accountancy and manage payments through the online banking platform.
- Create cashflows and budgets to forecast income and expenditure, ensuring financial stability.
- Manage the relationship with the part-time accountant/bookkeeper, overseeing the production of annual accounts and reports.
- Handle organisational memberships and subscriptions (e.g., Information Commissioner’s Office, and Living Wage Foundation).
Operations Management:
- Organise monthly clinics at different prisons, coordinating with staff at prisons and partner law firms.
- Coordinate the remote clinics, ensuring that the clinics are staffed with volunteers.
- Arrange and coordinate staff travel arrangements.
- Conduct DBS checks for employees and volunteers.
Payroll Administration:

Fundraising Support:
- Collaborate with the Head of Fundraising to identify Charitable Trusts and Foundations for potential applications.
- Assist in drafting funding applications and meeting with Charitable Trusts and Foundations to secure donations.

- Keep fundraising documents updated, including the application tracker, fundraising calendar, and donations spreadsheet.
- Manage donation processes, ensuring accurate recording, acknowledgement, and stewardship of donors.
Communications and Marketing:

The Head of Support Services will work with the Director of Support Services to create a positive, supportive culture of personal growth, underpinned by a holistic and empowering health and wellbeing approach.
Supported by the trustees, the CEO, staff and service users, the postholder will be a leader and will provide a constant stimulus for self-improvement in a learning, supportive and diverse environment. A candidate with a proven track record of delivery, they will provide high level and efficient management of Betknowmore UK support and community programmes, including all three primary services, GOALS, New Beginnings and Peer Aid, as well as bespoke projects which include the development of Hubs within key London Boroughs and creating digital activities.
The postholder will work to ensure impactful service provision and outcomes; recruit, train and supervise a team of staff/mentors/volunteers to deliver support and community activities; and oversee service integration and collaboration with the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN) partners and other key stakeholders.
A key aspect of the role will be to work closely with people presenting with gambling-harm issues and/or people impacted by someone else's gambling. The Head of Support Services will oversee sustainable recovery interventions which may include structured psycho-social 1:1 and group activities, counselling and therapy, peer and mentoring support, with services co-produced by clinicians and health professionals, and insight and knowledge from experts by experience.
The candidate should demonstrate previous experience of management and oversight of similar programmes of work, within mental health, addiction or community NHS or voluntary sectors.
Experience of gambling support and treatment and/or harm minimisation programmes is desirable, but not essential.
Working with other members of the Senior Management Team, they will input into the management of the charity, as well as supporting grant, contract and tender submissions, operational management, governance, performance and contract monitoring and outcome reporting. This will include financial planning and budgeting.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Development and Delivery
- Manage the strategic and operational performance of services to agreed standards and targets with the Director of Support Services and CEO.
- Provide management oversight to service teams and ensure the activities they are leading on are delivered to set quality and outcomes, that they are safe and operate in positive environments, and adequately supervised, monitored, audited and reviewed.
- Provide management oversight to the charity’s portfolio of programmes and projects, including those within the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN)
- Ensure strategic & performance coverage of all areas of service delivery outlined in the services’ SLAs.
- Review service delivery and implement necessary changes, to ensure high quality service, reflecting best practice and clear impact for all service users.
- Conduct regular supervision with staff and service users about service effectiveness and maximise client involvement in service design and development.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Produce a monthly service review, linked to the charity’s strategy and business plan.
- Manage monitoring and evaluation framework and oversee CMS/CRM systems.
- Liaise with external support networks, such as universities and research organisations, to aid data management requirements.
Line Management
- Ensure staff are recruited, supervised and developed in accordance with Betknowmore UK systems and processes, in particular annual planning and review and objective setting.
- Support the provision of staff training to the highest standard and in accordance with Betknowmore quality assurance standards
- Provide HR support and on-going staff line management.
- Liaise with Clinical Supervisor to ensure staff have adequate support and resources.

Partnerships Building and Collaboration

The role
As Grant Support Manager you’ll manage a team of eight Grant Support Executives, overseeing their work to ensure it is delivered on time and to a high standard.
Our Grant Support Executives carry out the assessment of grant applications and related grant administration. They also provide support to grant applicants as well as general administrative support to the wider organisation. As Grant Support Manager, you’ll review their work and support your team members with more complex queries as well as managing any issues and complaints that arise. You’ll regularly review systems and processes to ensure the team is always operating as effectively and efficiently as possible. Above all, you’ll set a positive culture in the team and take responsibility for their development to help every team member realise their full potential.
You’ll also work on other ad hoc projects and provide key support to our Grants Panel, ensuring papers are prepared and dispatched in line with annual Panel cycles, mapping out internal and external deadlines and minuting occasional meetings.
What are we looking for?
We’d love to hear from you if you have experience of managing a customer-focussed or admin team, with a track record of training, mentoring and developing team members. You’ll have extensive experience of business administration, including reviewing, improving and implementing administration processes.
You’ll be highly organised, with the ability to manage your own workload and changing priorities as well as overseeing those of others. You’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, as well as experience of tactfully resolving customer issues and complaints.
Ideally, you’ll also have some experience of grant administration and of assessing grant applications against set criteria, as well as some experience of supporting and minuting formal meetings.

Executive Assistant to Oasis Group CEO

Are you an Executive Assistant or Operations Manager looking to work for a charitable organisation that is passionate about making positive change to the communities it works in? Oasis has a new opportunity for an Executive Assistant to provide high level support for our Group CEO.
Oasis Charitable Trust is a growing and fast-moving charitable organisation, a movement supporting young people and their families in 8 countries worldwide. An opportunity has arisen for an organised and experienced senior-level Executive Assistant who is comfortable supporting our Group CEO and working alongside our Founder. Working as a key part of the Oasis Group Office, no two days will be the same and the pace is fast, yet the work and opportunities will be hugely rewarding.
This key role requires the successful candidate to:
· Provide support to the Group CEO in leading the Oasis family, ensuring effective governance systems and managing innovation and development
· Provide executive level in-person support to our Group CEO which may mean UK travel to meetings, media appearances and conferences.
· Collaborate with other members of the Oasis Group Office to provide general administrative support and diary management to Oasis senior leaders
· Offer wider project support when needed (e.g. events and gatherings).
This is a challenging role working with a team of inspirational and driven, high-profile change-makers. You will be well-supported by the Group CEO and Founder and will work alongside the Founder’s EA and Group Office Assistant. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate professionalism, calmness and be an ambassador for the Oasis ethos in their day-to-day work. Working alongside the Founder and Group CEO require this role to be largely London office-based with occasional national travel.
