The Role: Family Services Manager
As our Family Services Manager, you will provide operational and strategic oversight of all service delivery at Home-Start Lambeth. You will be instrumental in ensuring our services deliver real value to the families we support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Leadership: Oversee and develop service delivery, ensuring strategic and operational priorities are met.
- Team Management: Line manage and support our dedicated Family Coordinators and Volunteering Officer, fostering a culture of learning and development.
- Project and Performance Management: Lead on project management, performance management, and ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements, including safeguarding.
- Safeguarding and Compliance: Promote children's welfare and ensure compliance with safeguarding best practice.
- Volunteer Engagement: Work closely with our Volunteering Officer to maximise the effectiveness of our brilliant volunteers.
- Partnership Working: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with external partners to enhance awareness and reach of Home-Start Lambeth's services
- Reporting and Evaluation: Contribute to developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks to demonstrate the impact of our work.
What we are looking for:
- A high standard of education (BA/BSC, degree apprenticeship, level 6 qualification)
- Direct experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Proven project management, staff line management (including performance management), and service management experience.
- A strong working knowledge of the needs of families with children under five, and current legislation and policies relating to children and families.
- A deep commitment to good safeguarding practice and professional confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- A positive, creative, and organised approach to your work.
Desirable, but not essential:
- Relevant professional training (e.g., health visitor, teacher, social worker).
- Experience working with survivors of domestic abuse.
- Experience of developing and delivering training.
- Knowledge of Lambeth and local children's support services.
Salary: £37,000 FTE pro rata (actual salary £22,200 p.a.)

Job Summary
The Leadership Programme Manager will oversee the development of a leadership programme and its rollout through establishing sustainable digital hubs, and providing training to women leaders and male allies. The role will work closely with the PMEL Manager, Provincial Coordinator, church leaders and a team of trainers, to develop a comprehensive leadership curriculum, coordinate the training of trainers, establish online materials to create a hybrid learning model, monitor participant progress, and build networks to promote cross-participant learning and peer support. This position requires expertise in developing online training resources across multi-cultural contexts, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a remote team.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Development
- Oversee the advancement of leadership development as a core strategic priority for MU
- Develop and implement programme strategies, resources and tools that strengthen and scale the leadership development initiative, integrating research, monitoring, evaluation and learning
- Design a leadership curriculum that meets the intended project objectives and equips women across diverse contexts, through online and hybrid learning, combining spiritual guidance with practical leadership and management skills
Programme Planning and Budgeting
- Work with PMEL Manager to design and refine M&E frameworks and specific targets
- Develop and manage work plans and budgets in line with project goals and donor requirements
- Identify an appropriate digital platform to be used to run the online aspects of the leadership development programme
- Oversee the successful purchase and use of core equipment necessary to run the digital platform
Programme Implementation and Review
- Lead and support the delivery of leadership training activities across participating dioceses
- Monitor progress against programme outcomes, ensuring high-quality implementation that is timely and within budget
- Collaborate with coordinators, trainers and church leaders to review programme content and adapt as needed for relevance and effectiveness
- Support reporting, learning and sharing of best practice across participating dioceses
- Champion safeguarding and gender empowerment throughout all stages of the project
- Coordinate data collection in line with the programme M&E plan, including impact stories and other evidence of change, for use in MU communications, including social media and publications

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern
This role will be based at our Head Office in Central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

Salary

London based candidates will also receive £2,600 London contribution (pro rata). The pro-rated amount is £2,080. This will rise to £2,700 (pro rata) from 1st September 2025. The pro-rated amount will be £2,160.
Annual leave
Full-time staff entitlement, pro-rated for part-time staff: 33 days (inc bank & public holidays) + 3 closure days (two in December and one in July) + additional length of service entitlement (one day per year of service, up to 5 days)
In order to be eligible for the role, applicants must:
- Have achieved a grade C/ grade 4 or higher in GCSE Maths and English/ achieved National 5s or Standard Grade at Credit level (grades 1-2) in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Have previous experience of working with children or young people in a safeguarding capacity.
- Have a secure knowledge of key legislation and statutory guidance on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

· Develop and maintain effective partnership working with statutory, private and voluntary agencies to address the issue of domestic abuse.
· Represent the service at operational multi-agency meetings, feeding back initiatives and outcomes to the team and contribute to the evaluation of the quality of activities these services offer.

Case management

Recording and administration
· Ensure that case files and records are accurate and complete, and are kept and in compliance with Data Protection Act requirements.
· To enter all the required information into the Drive project electronic case management system to enable tracking of service user change, multi-agency working and risk management.
· Weekly maintenance and accurate and secure audit trail of all relevant communication.
· Comply with the data protection and information sharing protocols that Drive has agreed to.
Direct work with service users
· Maintain a proactive response to service users, continuously providing positive options for behaviour change throughout the service users time in the Drive project
· Use combination of motivational work, relationship building and a broad range of therapeutic skills to engage service users to addressing their abusive behaviour
· Motivate and support service users to address the broad range of needs that may contribute to the risk that they pose to others or act as barrier for them in addressing that risk. e.g. housing, substance use etc.
· To ensure that service users understand that the community and Drive project will ensure that they are accountable for continued use of abuse and abusive behaviour towards others
· Ensure that there is a consistent delivery of services to the identified perpetrators of domestic abuse, including comprehensive risk assessment, support planning, referrals to other agencies and MARACs.
· Develop strategies that will disrupt the continued risk posed by service users
· Undertake assessment of risk, needs and attitudes to inform the individual
service user’s intervention plan
· Ensure that risk assessment and risk management procedures are followed at all times.

Winnall Rock School (WRS) is a grassroots youth music charity, offering free and low-cost music education to young people aged 10-18 across Winchester. The Role
This role is ideal for a motivated and experienced charity professional who thrives in a multi-disciplinary role. The Operations Manager will take on day-to-day operational responsibility for the delivery of our weekly sessions and programmes, while leading our fundraising efforts to secure long-term sustainability.
The post-holder will be the main point of contact for young people, families, tutors, and partners, and will work closely with the WRS trustees and Creative Director to ensure smooth operations, continued engagement, and growing impact.
Initially, we are seeking the successful applicant to work under contract for 3 days per week for 6 months, at a daily rate of £180-£200 per day based on a 7.5 hour working day (£24-£26.60 per hour). Success in this role could lead to the post being extended beyond the initial six months.
Working Pattern
This is a hybrid role with a mix of home-based and in-person responsibilities. The successful candidate must be available every Tuesday evening during term time to attend and manage our weekly music sessions in Winchester. This includes opening and closing the venue and providing on-site operational support.
