Despite progress in recent decades, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer every 16 minutes and survival rates are among some of the worst of any cancer. And the physical and psychological impact can be lifelong. Over the next 5 years we plan to increase our investment into ground-breaking world class research and policy development focused on improving access to kinder, more effective diagnosis, treatment and care for leukaemia and other blood cancers. We are looking for an experienced, driven and creative Head of Digital to join our small but nimble team to deliver insight focused digital communications, which drive our reach and engagement with the blood cancer community and the public.

Leukaemia UK and You
You will have significant experience of leading a digital team to deliver impactful campaigns and achieve measurable results with your target audiences. With experience across a wide range of disciplines including digital marketing, email, website development and social media, you will be experienced at working with a variety of stakeholders and managing a busy workload to deliver successful programmes of work across multiple channels and audiences. You will have an appetite to innovate and drive continuous improvement in our digital work and keep the charity at the forefront of developments in digital.
Skills and Experience
✓ Substantial experience working within digital communications and proven track record in leading digital campaigns to grow profile, engagement and/ or donations
✓ Experience of developing digital marketing strategies and leading digital marketing campaigns, ideally for fundraising and/or awareness raising campaigns ✓ Experience of leading on website content and development and SEO
✓ Experience of running email programmes and of wider CRM strategy
✓ Experience of writing creative communications for external and internal audiences that are on brand, creative and deliver results

Job details
• Hours and place of work: Full time hours are 37.5 Monday to Friday. Our hybrid working policy is for all staff to work from our central London office at least twice per month – i.e, 2 working days.

Main Purpose of the Role
The Creative Communications Lead is a key role within the Creative Team. Working in collaboration with the Operations Team, the role holder has responsibility for the strategic oversight of internal and external communications and the practical ability to continue to develop the excellent design, social media and film content that enables and enhances St Stephen’s ministry. We are looking for someone with a passion for creative comms, practical skills to enable the delivery and strategic oversight to bring it all into being.

The Policy and Public Affairs (PAPA) team is part of the Strategy and Knowledge Directorate at the NSPCC. The Directorate exists to help shape the world around us – and what the NSPCC does – so that it reflects what we have learned and can help keep children safe from abuse. The PAPA team develops and holds the NSPCC’s positions on key public policy issues and harnesses these to influence policy makers and external stakeholders across the UK. The PAPA team’s strategic focus is divided into five ‘workstreams’: child protection and children’s social care; early years; child sexual abuse; online safety; supporting young victims and witnesses.
We are now seeking a Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer to play a leading role in the online safety workstream to ensure legislative and policy frameworks in England and the UK are fit for purpose in preventing online abuse and harm to children.

The Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer will lead the development of new policy positions and delivery of public affairs strategies to achieve regulatory, policy and legal change which tackles abuse and harm to children online. Monthly rate will be based on skills and experience.
Term of consultancy services will be set tenure of 3 years from date of appointment, with an option to extend once for a further 3 years.
We will also ask you/your employer to send across a monthly/quarterly invoice to the Professional Engagement Team at Parkinson’s UK and include a short paragraph outlining what you’ve done in the role each month. We can provide an example of this.

Finance Officer (Payroll)
The Vacancy
We are looking for an experienced, professional, highly competent Payroll Officer to help us deliver a seamless service. The role is to provide a comprehensive payroll service to both the Connexional Team and the wider Methodist Church.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Process monthly payrolls for lay staff, ministers and pensioners.
- Calculate and process all statutory payroll deductions, including PAYE, Employer and Employee NICs. Undertake monthly RTI submissions to HMRC.
- Prepare and post monthly payroll summaries to the nominal ledger and reconcile control accounts / loan accounts.
- Reconcile and remit monthly payments to HMRC for income tax, national insurance contributions and any other statutory recoveries.
- Produce monthly debit statements, deal with queries from staff, ministers and treasurers, and provide payroll information to HR, HMRC and other government agencies.
About You
You will have experience working in a payroll team and understand how HMRC legislation applies to payroll, pensions, and other statutory payments
You will have knowledge and experience of working with a complex Payroll System.
You will have working experience in a payroll function with strong technical knowledge of payroll and employment legislation and how this is applied.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain good collaborative working relationships with colleagues, and others, including volunteers, throughout the Methodist Church.
You will have good attention to detail, communication skills, organisational and administrative skills with a systematic approach to work and the ability the deliver to set deadlines.
You will be able to remain calm under pressure and be tactful in difficult or sensitive situations.
