About the Role
As a Care Leavers Employment Project Coordinator for Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN), you will support and manage the development of this project and will co-ordinate, develop and grow this new service.
You will play a crucial role in supporting care leavers aged 21+ on their journey to meaningful employment and independent living by providing employment guidance, resources, and support services with the aim of sustainable employment at our charity with ongoing person-centred support.
You will work closely with care leavers, local authorities, ICB contacts, HMN HR team, HMN senior management team, and other stakeholders to facilitate access to HMN volunteering, shadowing & employment opportunities, training programmes, and career development initiatives. The goal is to empower care leavers to achieve sustainable employment, good mental health and build successful careers at HMN, with the view to develop the service to include partner organisations and other stakeholders where successful careers may be established for care leavers.
The project ethos will be based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, with an awareness that individual differences must not be overlooked, that these needs can be pursued simultaneously, that the theory may not be universally applicable across cultures, and the influence of social, environmental, and structural factors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement programmes and initiatives to support care leavers in their journey to meaningful employment, including job readiness training, CV building, interview preparation, training opportunities and access to an HMN mentor/buddy.
- Join the Care Leaver Covenant and sign up to the Care Leaver Friendly Employer Charter, harnessing the opportunities available to support the project, including the Inclusive Employment Toolkit.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local authorities, ICB colleagues, educational institutions, and community organisations to create opportunities and secure support for care leavers.
- Provide one-on-one support to care leavers, including conducting assessments of their skills, interests, and career goals, and developing individualised employment plans and opportunities to enhance their employability and career prospects.
- Advocate on behalf of care leavers to address any barriers to employment, such as lack of education, training, or work experience, discrimination, mental health challenges, or housing instability.
- Organise and/or facilitate workshops, training, and networking events to enhance the employability skills of care leavers and connect them with potential employment opportunities and mentors.
- Monitor and track the progress of care leavers in securing and maintaining employment and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and reports on the employment outcomes of care leavers, and gather feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of support services and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about relevant policies, regulations, and best practices related to care leavers, employment, and youth services, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to enhance the overall effectiveness and impact of the project.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated membership marketer with excellent communication and copywriting skills to help improve member engagement and retention and grow membership at the Library.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will join a small and busy team in the Membership department. About the role
This is a very exciting time to join the team, with the imminent rehoming of the millionth hen and the national coverage this presents, you will have the opportunity to make this role your own. The full-time role of Community Fundraiser is a new position in a recently restructured Fundraising team, working with the Head of Fundraising, Individual Giving Manager and Corporate and Trust Fundraising Manager. This is a home-based role with regular travel to Hen Central for meetings, events and ad hoc tasks so it would be ideal for someone who is South West based. Main Purpose of Job:

The purpose of the role is to ensure the Cathedral is a safe place for the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults always.
The role of Cathedral Safeguarding Officer (CSO) will be key to ensuring that all those involved in the life of the Cathedral, including cathedral staff and volunteers, are aware of and understand the safeguarding measures needed to ensure that Worcester Cathedral is an inclusive and safe place for all.
It is both a proactive and responsive role, helping to strengthen our safeguarding culture, promoting best practice, supporting others to meet their safeguarding responsibilities, overseeing casework and responding swiftly and appropriately to any specific safeguarding concerns. The role will have both strategic and operational elements, helping to develop strategic plans for improving our safeguarding provision and taking the lead on ensuring that practical progress is made.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the Cathedral’s governing body (the Chapter) and Senior Executive Team (SET) are supported in fulfilling their responsibilities as they relate to safeguarding.
Respond to all safeguarding concerns and incidents, supporting victims and survivors, advising staff and volunteers, and overseeing safeguarding agreements. Be visible and accessible to cathedral staff and volunteers, helping them recognise, response, and properly record all concerns, and determining what referrals are necessary. Provide focussed support where there is frequent engagement with young people and vulnerable adults including:
- The Welcome Team
- Day Chaplains
- The Music team
- The Learning Team
- The Clergy
- Lay Readers, and
- Other lay ministers
To undertake casework as necessary, including:
- Supporting individuals (and staff and volunteers involved) as required.
- Undertaking risk assessments and safety plans and, with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), manage any allegations against staff and volunteers.
- Keep casework records electronically, in line with the protocols and templates mandated by the Church of England or required by the DSA.
- Undertake an annual review of safeguarding policies, practices and relevant documents e.g. Cathedral Safeguarding Handbook and advise the Chapter on developments in safeguarding practice and regulation
- Undertake safeguarding risk assessments, draw up safety plans and monitor implementation as required.
- Collaborate with the People Administrator and Diocesan Safeguarding Team to ensure that appropriate and necessary training is delivered and documented for all staff and volunteers.
- Determine the training needs for all those who work in the cathedral (staff and volunteers), meeting the requirements of the Church of England and developing context-specific training for key roles.
- Provide quarterly safeguarding reports to the Safeguarding Committee and other committees / groups and as required.
- Lead on safeguarding projects on behalf of the Cathedral.
- Co-ordinate the Cathedral’s response to Safeguarding Audits and other work required by the National Safeguarding Team (NST) or Church of England.
About You
You will have substantial experience in a safeguarding role previously.
Qualifications / Experience Required
- Proven experience of managing the delivery of effective safeguarding operations.
- Proven experience of managing complex safeguarding casework.
- Experience of working at a strategic level, at least at middle manager level, influencing decision-making and implementation.
- Knowledge of the statutory framework, pertaining to safeguarding.

Project Overview:
We are embarking on a large-scale project to expand and enhance the facilities and services of Living Potential Care Farm. We urgently seek an experienced and dynamic Fundraiser to lead our fundraising efforts, ensuring the successful realization of this transformative initiative.
Role Summary:
The Fundraiser will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the expansion project. This includes identifying and securing funding from diverse sources such as grants, corporate sponsorships, individual donations, foundations, and lotteries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising for large projects, excellent communication skills, and a strong network within the philanthropic community. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a detailed fundraising plan for the project.

· Support the CEO on funder management, leading on financial and operational aspects of fundraising, including leading grant application processes, budgeting and grant reporting
HR and Organisational Design
· Oversight of HR management and administration, including resource planning and recruitment
· Managed outsourced HR and recruitment consultants on professional development, culture & engagement, employee lifecycle management and recruitment initiatives
· Evolve HR function as the organisation grows
· Oversee workforce planning and recruitment for new hires supported by outsourced HR
· Ensure compliance of all existing legal/ contractual agreements with employees, consultants and suppliers
Operations and Strategy
· Support the CEO on the development of Travalyst’s annual strategic planning and lead on the accompanying operational plan

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.

- Work with the programme co-ordinator and additional administrative support to deliver the SLDP discernment process from initiation to completion at the moderation panel and the subsequent communication of outcomes and feedback. This will include serving on the panels, working with all key stakeholders associated with the discernment process and ensuring accurate information is provided and recorded across the entire process.
- Drive the approach and continual evolution for the SLDP programme ensuring the design, development and implementation of a high- quality L&D curriculum for the learning community.
- Shape, plan, schedule, implement and evaluate each element of the learning design including residential modules, mentoring, senior leadership and pilgrimage experiences and projects linked to the national vision and strategy of the Church of England.
- Manage the programmatic complexity of having multiple cohorts at different points in the learning journey.
- Act as the lead facilitator on each module to provide 'sign-posting' throughout the agenda plus expert input where relevant.
- Ensure high quality input through the identification, commissioning, briefing, supervision and review of internal and external experts as faculty and facilitators in the modules, or in the provision of mentoring, or learning experiences.
- Engagement and supervision of external coaches to provide role coaching at agreed points across the programme.
- Collate trends and data from the evaluations and participants to inform future design, and to demonstrate the impact of the programme.
- Present at governance meetings and any other relevant project boards, to consult with and influence senior leaders across the Church.
- Manage administrative support which is provided by a Project Co-Ordinator.
- Contribute to the development and facilitation of bespoke learning interventions for various groups as needs emerge e.g. action-learning groups, development for BAME clergy and Church Traditions, or the design of cross learning community events.
- Help to build and maintain a high-quality pool of external coaches and teaching faculty.
- Coach senior leaders from any of the leadership programmes as the opportunities arise.
- Contribute to writing reports for key bodies when required, including the House of Bishops, the College of Bishops and General Synod if required.
- Deputise for the Head of Senior Leadership Development in internal and external meetings if required
- Contribute to the 'knowledge capital' on leadership in the Church and to the organisational learning that arises from the programmes.
- Any other duties as required and commensurate with the post.
- Integration of the riches of the Christian tradition with the best of wider leadership development thinking and practice.
- Ongoing development of the new 'Learning Practicum' virtual learning system.
- Developing partnerships with theologians, TEIs, business schools and other leadership development providers and coaches.
- Playing a full part within the Ministry Development Team and wider Church.
- Wise investment of the available budget and good financial controls.
- Sharing good practice and learning with/from other parts of the Church and other partners.
- A salary of £66,186 plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of salary.
