This role leads our work across Birmingham to help build our collective capacity to analyse, strategise and take action for economic system change in the city. It will coordinate our Programme team to deliver different initiatives that support a growing movement for economic justice across the city - particularly focused on building support and engagement amongst grassroots changemakers and communities experiencing economic injustice. It will manage projects and resources, conduct programme development and delivery, oversee outreach and partnerships, changemaker recruitment and contribute to fundraising - ultimately play a key role in shaping our regional impact. This position is crucial in coordinating our work across Birmingham and driving meaningful collaboration with local and national stakeholders, in particular working collaboratively with Economic Justice Brum, a long term initiative working on local economic systems change.

Job Description
Birmingham Programme Development
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, lead the translation of People’s Economy’s strategy into a programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, identify the resources People’s Economy needs to deliver its strategy in Birmingham and contribute to fundraising for the organisation’s programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with Programme Director lead outreach and relationship building with community and civil society partners, including members of the Economic Justice Brum
- Working closely with the Head of Community, lead the development of People’s Economy’s programme of outreach and relationship building with changemakers in Birmingham including current grassroots campaigns such as Save Birmingham, Save Birmingham Youth Service (SBYS), Ladywood Unite, Save Druids Heath and the Birmingham Fair Housing Campaign.
Birmingham Programme Delivery
- Working closely with the Programme Team, coordinate the delivery of People’s Economy’s programme of work in Birmingham and ensure it is well embedded, integrated and supportive in the local economic justice landscape
- Play a leading role in our collaborative work with Economic Justice Brum ensuring consistent coordination, support and relational working
- Lead our work on developing and delivering a creative communications plan for Economic Justice Brum, as People’s Economy is its appointed communications partner

Join Operation Smile UK as our Senior Acquisition Manager and make a difference in the lives of children. We're searching for a fundraising professional with experience in acquiring new donors through a variety of fundraising channels including Door to Door (F2F), digital fundraising, DRTV, cold mailing and door drops. You'll be responsible for managing a £2.4 million budget and developing innovative strategies to increase individual cash and regular giving support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and drive recruitment of regular givers and cash givers to grow income and supporter volumes, in a multi-channel programme including Door to Door (F2F), digital fundraising channels, DRTV, cold mailing and door drops.

Role and Responsibilities:
Support from trusts and foundations is our main source of philanthropic income so we are looking
for somebody with experience in grants fundraising who can quickly apply their skills and
expertise. You’ll work closely with our Development Director to report to and liaise with current
funders, manage a pipeline of prospects and submit successful applications to secure new grants.
In addition, you will support in building a major donor programme to diversify and strengthen our
funding base. You will collaborate with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, from impact
producers to reporters to finance and operations, in a supportive and welcoming culture that
values teamwork and shared success.
As an excellent communicator, you will be able to take complex issues and translate them into
clear, compelling narratives that resonate with funders and stakeholders. You will also be

While experience in high-net-worth fundraising would be a valuable bonus, it is not essential. You
don’t need to have raised funds for non-profit media before, but you do need to be excited by our
work and able to express The Bureau’s key areas of work and impact in an accessible, accurate and
compelling way. We’re a small team, so you’ll need the willingness to pitch in on fundraising tasks
– big or small – to ensure The Bureau is in the best possible position to pursue its mission.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent fundraiser with a demonstrable track record of 3+ years’ experience successfully raising significant funds for charities or non-profits and managing relationships with funders (foundations - essential, high net worth individuals - desirable);
- Strong background in managing grants admin, including due diligence and processing agreements;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to speak and write English fluently;
- Great analytical skills, with experience in researching and identifying new funding sources for various projects;

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Brixton House is looking for an experienced, committed and highly organised Fundraising Manager. The post holder will have a central role in working with the Head of Development to secure grants from mainly trusts and foundations but will also work across other Departments to steward relationships with individual donors, support innovative digital fundraising campaigns, and assist in the delivery of targeted fundraising events.
The Development team is responsible for achieving a minimum voluntary income fundraising target of £300k, increasing over the next 2 years to £550k. Achieving these targets is central to Brixton House realising the creative ambition of our productions and performances, and to delivering our creative engagement programme in the wider community, with a particular focus on the London Borough of Lambeth.
The Fundraising Manager will report to the Head of Development and work collaboratively with colleagues and internal stakeholders across Departments to ensure there is a good fit between fundraising prospects and our programmes, and that our fundraising outputs are aligned with the vision, mission, and values of Brixton House.
This job would be ideal for applicants with successful fundraising experience looking to progress their fundraising careers by stepping up into a fundraising manager role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Income Generation
- Working with the Head of Development to implement the Income Generation Strategy to diversify our funding, including developing and managing a pipeline of Trusts & Foundations, competitor analysis and prospect development to achieve ambitious fundraising targets.
- Drafting and completing high quality funding applications and compelling funding proposals, including strong narrative storytelling, detailed budgets and comprehensive spending plans.
- Managing relationships with grant makers, writing grant reports, ensuring that deadlines are met and that the work accurately reflects our commitment to the grant makers requirements.
- Ongoing donor relationship management, acknowledging contributions, providing written updates on projects, programme delivery, and effective stewardship to encourage repeat giving.
- Managing and responding to supporter enquiries promptly, providing them with the best experience possible to maximise fundraising opportunities, and maintaining excellent up-to-date and timely records of all fundraising activities.
- Ensuring that all fundraising activity and donor stewardship and engagement is compliant with the Fundraising Regulators Code of Practice.
- Working closely with colleagues in other Departments to gather case studies and insights which demonstrate the impact of our work.
- Working collaboratively with the Head of Development and colleagues in Productions and Programming, Creative Engagement, and Marketing and Communications to actively support opportunities for income generation including corporate funding, individual giving, partnerships, trading activities, sponsorship, contracts and community fundraising.
Data & Impact Reporting
- Extract and interpret data from our CRM system Spektrix, and other external data sources to gather and process information which strengthens the case for support, and which enhances the quality of funding applications and funding reports.
- Working closely with colleagues in other Departments to ensure our CRM system and processes collect the accurate data required to meet funder requirements.
- Working closely with colleagues in other Departments to assist in the monitoring and evaluation of funded projects, and other activities which enhance the content and quality of reports for funders, trustees, and other key stakeholders.
- Analysing and presenting data and key findings to internal and external stakeholders through clear, concise and high quality reports and presentations.

General Statement of Duties:
To significantly increase the hospital’s voluntary income (primarily unrestricted) through the development and management of mid-value fundraising appeals, stewarding mid-level donors, regular donors, and fundraising committees with some event support.

About this role

ActionAid UK is seeking a Senior Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in driving our mission. The Institutional Funding Business Development team is a key delivery partner in ActionAid UK’s current strategy to promote a world where women and girls are valued, live free from violence, and can exercise their rights to promote their own economic empowerment, safety, equality and voice. We are looking for someone who has experience in managing the development of large grants (including working in consortia) and has strong knowledge and experience working on commercial contracts (particularly FCDO). The post holder should be able to work well within a team as well as have the confidence to proactively lead proposal/bid development and provide funding support to our Federation Members.
In this exciting role, you will be at the forefront of developing strategic partnerships and securing high-impact funding opportunities. You’ll work closely with our international partners, donors, and in-country teams to craft innovative proposals that support sustainable development and humanitarian programmes. Job Title: Evaluation Manager
Salary: £37,500
Contract Type: Permanent
Working location: Full-time, 35 hours per week, although 4 days / flexible hours may be considered
Working location: Remote. This post holder will be based at home, with office visits approximately once a month, and department/organisational away days which will be discussed with Line Manager. The role may involve some occasional irregular travel to visit schools, attend events and represent Magic Breakfast at meetings throughout the UK.

JOB PURPOSE
The newly formed Impact and Insights Team exist to provide research, insights and evidence; helping Magic Breakfast to achieve our mission of ending child morning hunger now and for good. The Evaluation Manager is key role within the Impact and Insights Team, responsible for evaluating the service delivery programme at Magic Breakfast – this includes evaluating new pilot approaches, assessing the impact, driving continuous improvement and shaping our offer enabling us to tackle child morning hunger today.
The Evaluation Manager is pivotal in spearheading the strategic planning, delivery and dissemination of Magic Breakfast’s day-to-day evaluation activity, as part of the wider Impact and Insights Team’s approach to communicating research, evaluation and insights. They will hold responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering a comprehensive programme of evaluation projects to support evaluation and impact measurement, continuous improvement, business development and communication. Our ideal candidate for this role will have experience in social research or programme evaluation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and manage a comprehensive programme of evaluation across Magic Breakfast’s provision.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and funders to develop and deliver an effective, achievable evaluation plan that will make a difference for children and young people.
- Optimise Magic Breakfast’s evaluation infrastructure to meet the demands of internal and external stakeholders.
- Integrate the voice of lived experience into our evaluation by actively listening to and incorporating the insights and feedback from our beneficiaries.

The main purpose of this role is to support the development of the champions network through the development of relationships; exceptional communication; logistical management and administration.
