We’re looking for an experienced individual to join our Philanthropy & Partnerships team as Prospect Research and Donor Development Manager. You will join us working 35 hours per week on a 9 month fixed term contract and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £46,581.14 per annum plus excellent benefits.

This is an exciting role that will be responsible for leading our brand-new Philanthropy and Partnership’s Research and Engagement Team. This team is responsible for ensuring direct fundraisers are equipped to make compelling asks and steward donors. They cover prospect research, KPI and pipeline reporting, high value events, stewardship and engagement asset creation, and cross team operational support.
Responsibilities of our Prospect Research and Donor Development Manager:
As Prospect Research and Donor Development Manager you will be responsible for developing and managing Cats Protection’s prospect research and high value donor development programme, including pipeline development, portfolio management, supporter stewardship and proposition creation. A key focus of this role will be to identify funders, advise on their capacity to support the charity’s work and assist in the development of strategic corporate, major donor and foundation relationships that deliver agreed income targets and achieve the organisations ambition for Philanthropy & Partnerships income streams.

Experience of DRTV is required, with an understanding of individual giving fundraising KPIs, including in relation to: DRTV, print, telemarketing, email and landing pages. You will be confident working with data with attention to detail and accuracy, from briefing data criteria for emails to using excel to review and share results. You will also be able to engage wider stakeholders in our acquisition testing plan development, providing clear regular communication to update on progress and learnings.
Most importantly, you’ll be keen to deliver insight and audience-led, best in class fundraising campaigns to help Brooke realise an ambitious acquisition growth programme.

ROLE SUMMARY

What you will do:
The Senior Partnerships Manager is responsible for driving significant growth for Canine Partners through corporate and community fundraising.
You will be passionate about providing exceptional supporter care when identifying, cultivating, and maintaining high-value corporate partnerships. You will lead the community engagement team, giving support and direction in building strong relationships with small businesses, schools, social groups, and other community partners.
You will create and foster good relationships with both community and corporate volunteers; developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to recruit, engage, and manage volunteer networks.
What we\'re looking for:
• Proven track record of success in corporate fundraising.
• Experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and achieve fundraising targets.
• Ability to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
• You will be confident in your ability to work on your own initiative and as part of team. Ideally, you will have previous experience in community fundraising and writing funding proposals.

This role can be delivered from our purpose-built training centre in the rural countryside of Osgathorpe, Leicestershire (hybrid), or remotely from home with some travel, including to our training centre, for events, meeting with fundraising partners and related activities as appropriate. You must have a full UK driving licence and/or the ability to travel in line with the requirements of the role (claimable expenses for business travel as required). We will provide a laptop and mobile phone for use in the role.
