We are looking to recruit an experienced Grants Manager to for an exciting civil society funding mechanism.  The Grants Manager will need to have a background in health as they will be responsible for oversight of a portfolio of grants delivering immunization and health system strengthening programmes across different geographies. The Grants Manager will work collaboratively with technical colleagues based in-country to maximise results and minimise risk for a portfolio of projects. The Grant Manager will support the performance and develop the capabilities of grantees, and contribute to wider learning.

We are looking for a Grants Manager with either direct experience of working in the health sector in Pakistan or are fluent French speakers with experience of working in West and Central Africa. The Grants Manager provides a focal point to coordinate the technical, financial, and operational support to each grantee throughout the grant management process. In addition, the Grants Manager will support the design and delivery of technical assistance to organisations in specific thematic areas and countries.

A track record of engaging with senior stakeholders and operating under pressure to meet deadlines.

The Vacancy

The Programme Officer will work within the Conflict Advisory Unit (CAU). The CAU provides high-quality advisory and technical support to a range of aid actors across the humanitarian, development and peacebuilding sectors, including donor institutions, UN agencies, international and national NGOs, civil society organisations, financial institutions and the private sector to integrate conflict sensitivity principles and practices into their strategies, policies, and programmes. The CAU runs remote conflict sensitivity/ peace and security helpdesks for donors, implements in-country conflict sensitivity facilities (currently in Afghanistan, South Sudan and Sudan), and undertakes bespoke conflict sensitivity work.  

In additional to the CAU, the Programme Officer will work with country programme teams and other teams across Saferworld to support the uptake of more conflict-sensitive ways of working across diverse conflict-affected contexts and help to promote learning and good practice on adopting conflict-sensitive approaches. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role within a dynamic and enthusiastic team and to work in support of addressing issues that are important for people affected by conflict and the aid sector.

About you:

Our HR Operations team is at the heart of our Workforce function, overseeing all aspects of employment relations, compliance and systems.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team to provide administrative and event delivery support across all event and fundraising activities. About the role

EUK Education brings together everything EngineeringUK does for schools, career advisers, and teachers to help them inspire young people into STEM careers. It encompasses all our programme activities for schools, offering them access to everything from quality careers resources, curriculum linked lesson plans, a way to find the best activities and inspiring role models to funded drop down days and STEM career fairs. It’s designed to make it easy for schools to access high quality activity in one place and for EngineeringUK to better join up and cross promote our activities across the schools we work with.
 

The School Relationship Officer role will be integral to ensuring we understand the breadth of schools we are working with across programmes, supporting school liaison, providing oversight of programme engagement, identifying opportunities for cross promoting our programmes, reporting on delivery of teacher-led programmes, providing programme administrative support to project managers, directly supporting school delivery across London and working with external stakeholders to maximise programme engagements.
 

 We believe that hybrid working has many benefits and are pleased to offer flexible working with a minimum of 2 days (or 40%) a week in the office and the option for a flexible start and end to the working day in our vibrant central London office overlooking the Thames. Essential Skills / Competencies

• Strong organisational skills
• Good time management, with flexibility to respond positively to changes in work schedule.

• Comfortable working with schools across the UK, which will include direct contact with schools across our programmes.
