With a degree in Information Technology or a related field, and certifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) or cloud computing (e.g., Microsoft Azure), you bring the expertise needed to drive organisational efficiency and growth. Your project management skills, particularly in areas such as Azure migration and SharePoint implementation, are well-established, and you have a proven track record in integrating CRM, finance, and HR systems. The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international Catholic organisation, founded in 1980 with a shared global mission to accompany, serve and advocate alongside and for the rights of refugees and forcibly displaced people. • To be accountable for achieving agreed outcomes, outputs and personal targets – including recruitment, employability training and learner progression targets
• To manage a caseload of participants requiring Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), confidence building and employability training
• Completing appropriate action plans and reviews with participants
• To act as the single point of contact for small caseload of participants

Hillside Clubhouse operates an established Employment Advice (EA) service integrated into NHS Talking Therapies.  The programme aims to support Islington residents who are assessed within Talking Therapies and who require employment advice.

The EAs in Talking Therapies initiative was designed as an integrated employment and mental health service to improve both mental health and employment outcomes. EAs are part of the Talking Therapies team and work alongside therapists to provide employment support to assist clients remain in work, return to work, or find employment.  This takes the form of personalised support for the client backed up by an action plan detailing the client’s employment goals and the actions that the client, the therapist, and the EA agree to take to meet these goals.  

Overall aim 

Talking Therapies is an NHS Programme that provides evidence based psychological therapies to treat people with mild to moderate and moderate to severe depression and anxiety disorders.  

The new Employment Advisor (EA) will work within the Islington NHS Talking Therapies provision. They will work one-to-one with a caseload of between 25-35 clients referred by NHS Talking Therapies therapists to find employment, remain in existing work if they are struggling, improve their working environment, return to work following sickness or positively leave or retire from work. 

You will primarily fulfil these duties by providing information, advice and guidance to clients who choose to receive employment support. The support aims to empower clients to make better decisions about their working lives, as well as communicate better with colleagues and managers in existing roles. You will also signpost clients to other relevant support agencies, as appropriate. 

This role would suit someone with a background in employment support, psychology, counselling, human resources, recruitment, or a desire to transfer their skills into the mental health support sector.  

Method of working 

EMPLOYMENT ADVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

1. Engage a mixed caseload of clients at any given time serving 100-125 per year, with common mental health problems, to establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them to find new employment or support them in, or to leave, existing employment. Support will be provided face-to-face in Talking Therapies settings, via secure online meeting platforms or over the telephone. 

2. Along with their NHS clinician, assess clients’ support needs with a view to creating, implementing, and adjusting a personalised action plan to help improve clients’ mental health and achieve their stated employment goals.

3. Develop and deliver a range of practical services to support clients to find work, including career guidance, job searching skills, CV preparation, application form completion, interview skills, advice on local labour market opportunities and advice on education and training to further their career. 

4. Provide guidance to support clients to stay in existing work, including advice on mental health disclosure, negotiating reasonable adjustments to existing workplaces, creating wellness action plans, and improving productivity, support to return to work after sickness absence or to leave an existing role with dignity, and signpost clients to organisations that can represent them (EAs should only look to represent clients in exceptional circumstances). 

5. Facilitate access to other advice in areas such as financial benefits, debt management, food banks and community food outlets and social housing providers, as necessary. 

6. Work directly with partners like Jobcentre Plus, other employment providers, employers, trade unions and employment agencies to support clients to stay in employment and secure employment opportunities. 

7. Build a constant flow of referrals from the clinical team to ensure a dynamic and mixed caseload.

8. Meet referral and performance targets in line with the specific KPI / SLA requirements of the service. 

9. Regularly attend team and other meetings as reasonably expected. 

10. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service requirements, ensuring both the NHS and Hillside Clubhouse databases are kept up to date and paperwork compliant.

11. Receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organisation’s needs. 

12. Contribute to the development of a service that is locally responsive and supports minority/disadvantaged communities.

13. Comply with and actively promote all Hillside policies and procedures including Equality and Diversity, safeguarding and data protection. 

14. Perform other tasks as required by your manager. 

The role holder must also: 

1. Pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an Enhanced level. 

2. Possess excellent IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office software, as well as experience updating and maintaining databases. 

3. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service performance requirements, ensuring the IT database is up to date and paperwork compliant.

Our Activity Service

The Activity Service is an important part of our organisation, delivering high quality activities to the older people of Merton. Our Activity team create and deliver a wide range of activities including a daily lunch club, crafting, poetry, singing and exercises at our centre in Mitcham and other locations across the borough of Merton.

About the Role

We are recruiting an Activity Coordinator to support the Activity Service Manager in the delivery and development of the Activity service.

The Activities Coordinator will be a hands-on role, working with the team who deliver a wide range of activities both existing and new at our centre and across the borough of Merton.

The role will deputise for the Activities Service manager and has line manager responsibilities overseeing both the team and the delivery of activities. This role will work closely with the volunteers who support the service, building on the current volunteer programme to develop the volunteer role and experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role will be primarily focusing on our newly awarded Climate Action Fund programme – Student Energy Action for Life (SEAL), with opportunity to contribute towards our wider engagement programmes. SEAL has a twofold vision; to support students navigating the home energy system and to improve access to student energy efficient properties via landlord engagement and student campaigning. Across the two roles there will be the opportunity to specialise in either student engagement and advocacy or landlord engagement and support.

Key responsibilities include: 

•    Engage, maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including students, volunteers, students’ unions, universities, local authorities, landlords and other key organisations. 
•    Contribute to the development and delivery of programme resources and communications, including social media and website updates.

•    Provide support for students’ union officers and other student campaigners working on housing energy efficiency campaigns, including the design and implementation of a national student home energy campaign.

Research, Advisory and Policy Department (RAP) 

The Research, Advisory and Policy Department (RAP) of 9 staff facilitates learning and provides guidance to improve peace policy and practice inside and outside CR. 

RAP is responsible for the Accord publication series and cross-organisational research programmes, thematic policy advocacy, and the organisational approach to, and technical support to Programme Departments and the research team on gender and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) and policy advocacy. The RAP Department includes the CR EU team based in Brussels. 

Job Purpose 

The Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning leads on developing and implementing Conciliation Resources’ strategy, systems and skills for MEL in our peace practice. They ensure that MEL in CR serves to: evaluate the impact of our interventions; improve adaptability and effectiveness of our practice, including the objectives in our Gender Strategy; record, organise and learn from evidence of what works and what doesn’t; improve our knowledge base, culture and practice of capturing and measuring change; and inform CR and the wider peacebuilding sector about how to measure progress in peace initiatives. 

The Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning acts as the technical lead on MEL, providing thought leadership, strategic guidance and technical advice to Programme and RAP teams on MEL; on learning goals in our Strategic Plan; on measuring progress towards our peacebuilding goals, our Theory of Change and our Results Framework; and on how to use MEL data for different strategic processes. 

Scope and Accountability 

The Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning is accountable to and line-managed by the 

Director of Research, Advisory and Policy, and is a member of the Research, Advisory and Policy team. They work closely with CR Programme Departments and partners, Communications and Development teams, and the Executive Management Team. They are a member of the Team Leaders Forum. 

Essential Knowledge, skills and experience

Kingston Bereavement Support (KBS) is the only bereavement service in Kingston Upon Thames. We are a registered provider to local GPs and an organisational member of the Childhood Bereavement Network. We are organisational members of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and we work in accordance with their Ethical Framework.

The Saying Goodbye Project (SGP) is our children and young people’s service. We help children, young people and families who are bereaved with 1:1 counselling support, advice and information. In this role you will be part of a busy team. You will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre. The duty IGVA will be responding to daily enquiries over the phone and email as well as contacting survivors, assessing their risks and needs. You will also be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs and will ensure an effective handover to the over to the relevant GAIA team for ongoing support. 

The duty IGVA will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. You will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job also involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.
