Providence Row works with those affected by homelessness and those vulnerably housed in London, offering an integrated service of crisis support, advice and progression programmes. Situated within the Resource Centre, the service provides health-related activities and support, including access to wellbeing support, health advice, and treatment opportunities, all delivered with respect and dignity. Key to the service are the Health & Wellness Fairs, organised in partnership with community providers. These fairs offer crucial services like dental care screenings and vaccinations, aimed at reducing health inequalities and enhancing accessible care for the community. 

About the role

• Delivery of excellent health and wellbeing services to all stakeholders, consistent with the values of the organisation.
• Develop and oversee Providence Row’s Award Winning Health and Wellbeing Fairs in partnership with community provision.
• Reduce A&E admissions by strategically enhancing preventative care measures and facilitating early intervention services through our health programs and partnerships. 
• Participate in planning, monitoring and evaluation to ensure we deliver effective services and demonstrate the impact of our work to key funders.
• Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive health services, aiming not only to improve health and wellness among our clients but also to minimize A&E admissions through effective preventive care and early intervention.
• Establish and maintain robust partnerships with health providers and community organizations to ensure a collaborative approach towards integrated health support.
• Collaborate with the Volunteering Development Manager to implement a structured feedback gathering process from volunteers and clients, ensuring the services are responsive to the needs of the community and continuously improving.
• Monitor the effectiveness of these services, ensuring they meet the needs of the community and contribute to long-term health improvements and reduced dependency on emergency health services. 
• Work alongside the Volunteering Development Manager to support and recruit volunteers and Peer Mentors to support client engagement.
• Develop systems and processes to ensure the Health Hub and Health & Wellbeing Fairs are delivered to a high standard, reflecting best practice in the field.
• Attend evening and weekend meetings and functions as on occasion.

This is a unique opportunity to manage our enterprise hub called Tottenham Green Enterprise Centre (TGEC) and to be involved in the support at our site in Enfield, Angel Yard. 

The enterprise hubs host an incubation programme which includes subsidised space, business support, mentoring and guidance and a programme of prestart enterprise support, business training and events and which focus largely on young people. 

This role involves continuing to manage the hub locally and creating a hive of enterprise activity, premises management and client recruitment and support. The right candidate must be a self-starter and able to work on their own. They must have excellent people skills, enterprise knowledge and be able to develop and support the young people we are working with as well as developing local partnerships. They will be expected to meet targets including building occupancy, increased survival, and prosperity of the businesses in their charge. Ultimately this exciting role is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person who is able to offer great opportunities for young start-ups in Tottenham who engage with Launch It. 

Please be aware this is a hybrid role. You will be expected to manage your time over your working days focusing on business support and building management at Tottenham Green Enterprise Centre for three days one week and four days the next week.

There is also an expectation that you will work on a rotational basis every other Saturday covering our site in Enfield Angel Yard as well as making yourself available for special events when they are running at Angel Yard on Saturdays.

This is a role that needs to be based on site with few opportunities for home working unless agreed in advance.

At The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC), evidence plays a key role in supporting effective, impactful careers education. The Policy & Impact (P&I) team is a dynamic and purpose-driven team at the centre of the CEC’s Strategy & Communications division, generating insights to inform policy and practice and drive impact for young people.

This is an opportunity for a dynamic Research Manager to help build a new evidence base on parental engagement in careers education. Parents are key influencers in their children’s careers thinking, and as a result, the CEC has a parental engagement strategy with the aim of supporting Careers Leaders to enhance parental engagement in careers in their institutions. Part of this work to date has included the development of a suite of Careers Leader resources and training called Talking Futures. This role will play a crucial part in exploring how to take the CEC’s parental engagement strategy to the next stage, aiming to develop a questionnaire tool for parents that builds on early exploratory research. You will run a year-long project to test questions to create key evidence for the careers system.

Previously, the CEC has developed and successfully rolled out the FSQ, using our digital tools to bring student insight data on career readiness and essential skills into the careers system. The parent questionnaire tool will build on this.

The Research Manager will run a year-long process, designing and delivering qualitative and quantitative research and working with experts across the CEC, as well as external stakeholders, to explore the collection of structured and effective parent data using the existing careers infrastructure. There is also the potential to work closely with our Data & Digital Team to scale collection and insight nationally and locally.

We are looking for a highly analytical, curious and collaborative individual with a strong background in mixed-methods research. Identifying, generating and using a wide range of evidence and data, on this exciting new project, you will work with the Senior Manager, Research and Insight and across the Policy & Impact Team and also with the Senior Strategic Development Manager in the Education Development Team responsible for parental engagement.

Role Overview

This role exists to launch our digital skills training provision for refugees and asylum seekers across the UK following a successful pilot project. 

We are looking for a confident, experienced self-starter to build and manage the project which will support 140 refugees over the course of the year. They will provide direct support to those accessing the programme, coordinate volunteer digital mentors and create, collate and distribute resources to project participants. 

The central goals of the project are to upskill refugees referred to Screen Share in basic digital skills and intermediate digital skills required for employment (email, word processing, spreadsheets, video conferencing, file management), to prepare refugees with little to no digital skills to participate in our intermediate digital skills programme, and to develop a volunteer infrastructure to facilitate ongoing provision of 1:1 and remote digital skills training. 

The post holder will hold overall responsibility for the project, including managing the budget, measuring impact, reporting on the project outcomes and representing the project externally. 

Experience with digital skills programmes is an essential prerequisite for this role. Work with refugees and asylum seekers or vulnerable adults is desirable.

Job Description

Outcome 1: Plan and deliver Screen Share’s Digital Skills project 

• Think critically and collaboratively about the different ways to run digital skills programmes for different skill levels, particularly for refugees and asylum seekers.

• Coordinate cohorts and oversee the delivery of 1:1 digital skills training via volunteer digital mentors, both in-person and online. 

• Deliver bespoke digital skills training sessions for groups of refugees and asylum seekers.

• Onboard service users, match them with digital mentors and explain the different digital skills and other Screen Share opportunities available to them.

• Deliver the key goals of the project within the 12 month period and report internally on the progress of the project on a monthly basis.

• Manage the project’s budget and support with identifying future funding sources for the project beyond the initial period.

• Proactively apply Screen Share’s safeguarding policy and identify, manage and collaborate on safeguarding issues as and when they arise.

Outcome 2: Recruit, manage and support digital skills volunteers 

• Design and deliver a volunteer recruitment strategy for digital mentors. 

• Respond promptly to volunteer inquiries and assist their delivery with advice and guidance.

• Deliver volunteer training to ensure volunteers are sufficiently supported to deliver digital skills sessions in line with our Digital Skills curriculum. 

• Support the upskilling of graduates of the cohorts who want to join as volunteers.

Outcome 3: Measure the project’s impact and iterate the Digital Skills programme in response to service user and volunteer feedback 

• Maintain a learning log and present key learning from the project on a quarterly basis. 

• Offer ideas and contributions towards our monitoring outcomes and the way we communicate the impact of the programme. 

• Manage the feedback process using surveys and 1:1 interviews. 

• Implement suggested changes where appropriate.

• Co-create sensitive and ethical case studies with service users and Screen Share’s communications team which communicate the impact of the project.

• Work with the Director to produce reports on the progress of the project for the project’s funder.

Outcome 4: Manage associated project data with appropriate care 

• Manage the data arising from the project in line with GDPR regulations and Screen Share’s privacy policy.

• Take responsibility for the institutional memory of the project by integrating the project’s data (such as cohorts, feedback and project learning) into Screen Share’s existing data management system. 

Outcome 5: Develop Screen Share’s digital skills curriculum, processes and resources 

• Critically analyse our existing provision and curriculum with the help of Screen Share’s Advisory Board. 

• Develop the curriculum to cover a broader range of digital skills levels. 

• Support learners to access and thrive on the Learn My Way platform. 

• Create a user-friendly digital guide which cover all the processes and learning which constitute the Digital Skills programme. 

Outcome 6: Support with Screen Share’s Digital Access project 

• Provide ad-hoc operational support for Screen Share’s flagship Digital Access project.

About you

As the Service Manager for our night shelter service, you’ll be at the heart of Glass Door’s mission, delivering the largest network of night shelters in the UK.  This pivotal role offers you the chance to make a real difference by managing a dedicated team across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality, consistent service that supports our guests to build a route out of homelessness.  We’re looking for a dynamic, proactive leader with a passion for problem-solving and a compassionate service delivery.

What you will do as part of our team

The Service Manager is responsible for the following:

Service delivery 

· Lead all aspects of the planning, preparation, and delivery of the night shelter service. 

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, directly engaging with staff and guests to ensure high-quality service delivery. 

· Ensure operational policies are consistently followed, providing guests with a reliable and uniform service experience. 

· Manage the rota across three night shelters to maintain adequate staffing at all times. 

· Manage a fleet of three vehicles used for the night shelters, ensuring their availability and maintenance. 

· Ensure all staff are fully aware of service provisions, requirements, and expectations. 

· Lead the continuous improvement of the shelter service to better meet guest needs. 

· Ensure due diligence is performed, and that reporting and records are accurately maintained. 

· Collaborate with the Head of Operations & Service Development to keep expenditures and income within agreed budget limits. 

· Liaise with casework colleagues to ensure seamless collaboration between night shelter and casework staff. 

· Ensure the night shelters are aligned with other statutory and charity services to best meet the needs of our guests. 

· Conduct and maintain annual general and fire risk assessments for each shelter venue; actively maintain the service-level risk register and contribute to organisational risk register. 

· Promptly raise concerns and safeguarding issues in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

· Ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date with annual reviews, and provide staff with training and guidance on compliance and best practices. 

Management 

· Manage and supervise a seasonal staff team of approximately 40 individuals. 

· Oversee the full employee lifecycle management, including: recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management. 

· Lead the recruitment and training of seasonal shelter staff. 

· Provide high-quality support and line management to night shelter staff, delivering clear guidance, support, and effective leadership. 

· Ensure excellent performance management, support, and supervision of Night Shelter Managers and staff, including monitoring annual leave and addressing performance issues in line with Glass Door’s policies. 

· Empower seasonal managers to deliver high-quality, safe support and effective guest management in accordance with Glass Door policies and procedures. 

· Regularly monitor the quality of support and service by conducting site visits to the night shelters. 

· Organise and deliver a comprehensive training programme for shelter staff. 

· Facilitate regular supervision and team meetings to promote effective teamwork and communication. 

· Ensure the In-form system is utilised efficiently by shelter staff, with timely updates to reports, and prompt, accurate record-keeping. 

· Provide timely support, advice, and guidance to staff as needed. 

Service Development and Planning  

· Play a lead role in the annual planning of the night shelter service and contribute to the annual services business plan. 

· Drive the achievement of organisational targets and objectives as outlined in Glass Door’s business plan. 

Additional  

· Cultivate positive relationships with guests, staff, professionals, partners, suppliers, and the local community. 

· Provide up to date, shelter specific information as appropriate, for cross organisation usage

· To undertake any other duties that can be reasonably required to meet the operational needs of Glass Door.

•  Be responsible for leading new artist (celebrity) acquisition for Magic Breakfast including approaching and pitching for opportunities alongside other internal teams

Recruiting good staff can literally change and rebuild lives. The In House Resourcing Team at St Mungo’s are passionate about finding the right people to enable us to provide the best level of service possible to people experiencing homelessness.

We have an opportunity for a Resourcing Advisor to join our small and dedicated team, where you will oversee an efficient end to end recruitment process, provide support and advice to a varied caseload of designated directorates and functions while ensuring an inclusive and positive candidate experience.

Additional responsibilities in this varied role include:

• Providing quality, best practice recruitment and selection advice, support and guidance to managers and colleagues across the organisation.
• Working closely with Hiring Managers and building positive and effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• Planning your own time around a busy workload to ensure timely recruitment processes for a varied caseload of vacancies.
• Working as part of a team and be provided with training and development to learn all about relevant legislation, policy and process and have the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of organisational resourcing objectives.

In this role you will be required to work for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. 

About you

We are looking for proactive people with some experience of working in a recruitment or resourcing role. You may be looking for your first In House recruitment role or have some existing experience of collaborating with Hiring Managers to support recruitment as part of a HR function; either way if you like working with people and have good communication and influencing skills we encourage you to apply.

To be successful you will have an eye for detail and be passionate about working with a creative and solution focused approach for harder to fill positions and high volume recruitment needs.

You will also have some experience of writing engaging advert content to attract the best candidates, have excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, experience of using online systems and processes and an understanding of the importance of using a variety of resources including social media for effective recruitment.

The Parish of Mother of Unfailing Help, which comprises Leeds Cathedral and the Church of the Holy Rosary, Chapeltown, is looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced individual to play a key role in the running of this busy Cathedral Parish.

The role  will include some evening and weekend work.

The post holder will play a key role in establishing the operational infrastructure necessary to support the running of a wide range of activities at Leeds Cathedral, Cathedral House, Wheeler Hall, Holy Rosary Church and the newly refurbished Holy Rosary Community Room.

This is a new role whichrecognises the evolving demands of parish life and the advantages of introducing lay involvement in the operational management of our parish structure. The role requires excellent people management skills and will have day-to-day line management responsibility for a small team. It has a particular focus on facilities management and a key aspect of the role will be improving income generation from Wheeler Hall and the Holy Rosary Community Room as well as the day-to-day administration of the Parish, including the parish finances and administration associated with the Sacramental Programmes. The role promises to be very rewarding and would suit an applicant who is looking for the variety of a broad role, who thrives on collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and who enjoys taking ownership of tasks. It is suited to someone who is adaptable and willing to work in a challenging environment.

The Parish is funded primarily through the offertory collection (donations) from parishioners. Some specific works may be grant-funded. We are part of the registered charity of the Diocese of Leeds. It is therefore essential that the postholder is mindful of the good stewardship of parish resources, is comfortable working to tight budgets and seeking value for money at all times.

The primary location of work will be Leeds Cathedral, which as well as being the Mother Church of the Diocese of Leeds, is home to the celebrated Diocese of Leeds School Singing Programme and Keyboard Studies Programme. This makes the Cathedral a particularly busy and often musical place to work!
