We are looking for a flexible and proactive colleague with skills and experience in three areas:
- community research and report writing
- signposting members of the public to support when they call us and designing and leading community workshops
- and supporting and co-ordinating volunteer involvement and contributions to this activity.

JOB SUMMARY
The Head of Development will be a dynamic leader within the RUH and a charismatic ambassador externally. Responsible for leading the Development Team across all funding streams and personally managing a select portfolio of major gift prospects, the role will transform our approach to fundraising and philanthropy, delivering against demanding targets and key projects (research, patient & staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment and ‘where the need is greatest’). This is an exciting opportunity to help lead, grow and re-shape the Development Team and is a pivotal role within the SLT, reporting directly to the Head of RUHX.
The successful candidate will be the entrepreneurial force behind leading a team to grow income to £4m+ to support projects and campaigns across the RUH. You will be an experienced fundraising professional with a proven track record of delivering significant income across all funding streams and meeting challenging targets to deliver growth. As an innovative and strategic leader, you will focus on driving donor-centric partnerships, providing exceptional supporter experiences while bolstering exceptional stakeholder relationships.
The Head of Development will be an inspiring and compassionate leader, used to recruiting and motivating a high-performing team and operating a learning and development approach. A skilled communicator and influencer with exceptional diplomatic skills, you will have an ability to develop strong working relationships with staff, trustees, donors and other stakeholders. You will have extensive budget management and planning experience, and will be working closely with the SLT, the Director of Finance and the Charities Committee.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development—The post holder will line manage a successful team of fundraisers and will be responsible for securing a team total of £1.5m per year. The Head of Development will manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects and will be responsible for the identification and cultivation of potential donors, typically in the region of £250,000 and above, delivering a £1.5m a year.
- Leadership & Management- responsible for providing inspiring and innovative leadership and team management, nurturing a culture of ambition, support, and inclusion at RUHX. Ensure the alignment of the charity's vision, values, and behaviours while managing a high-performing Development Team, in line with best practice.
- Strategy - responsible for the strategic leadership and delivery of all development functions of the RUHX’s income generation, in line with the charity’s objectives and the Charities Committee.
- Governance and Compliance- responsible for ensuring RUHX's is compliant with all fundraising regulatory and legal obligations, including GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
- Financial & Risk Management- responsible for leading and managing the Development Team to meet financial fundraising targets and oversee budgets. Working with the SLT, ensure timely updates to the Head of RUHX and Charities Committee, reporting on risks with recommendations.

We ate currently recruiting for a Night Support Worker for their young people's 24-hour accommodation service in Macclesfield. This is a permanent role working 3 nights on 3 nights on, 3 nights off on a rolling rota, 38.5 hours per week.
The role
- Work with people offering supported opportunities for them to improve their quality of life, develop their skills and make decisions about their future.
- Act as individual 'Keyworker' to a group of young people that access support, taking lead responsibility within the organisation for the coordination and delivery of their support.
- Providing general practical and emotional support to people to promote their independence and/or recovery.
- Responding appropriately to challenging behaviour to promote the well-being of people we support and staff
- Providing an effective and responsive supportive service.

- Encourage the people our client works alongside to be involved in the development and operation of the service, facilitating appropriate consultation and participation.

The candidate
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in a social care field.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Experience of one of the following - At least one year's professional experience of working with vulnerable adults/ Relevant personal experience / At least three years' experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting.

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, ADFAM and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire. We are looking for a Complex Needs Practitioner (Family Practitioner) to join our team in High Wycombe.
The purpose of the role is to engage people who are affected by someone’s substance use in a variety of interventions, using a person-centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
All Complex Needs Practitioners (Family Practitioners) work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health and social care. You will join our caring multi-disciplinary teams, to help empower you to provide quality psychosocial interventions to our diverse client groups. Complex Need Practitioners (Family Practitioner) will work with support, training and recognised best practice family interventions, in collaboration with our partners ADFAM.
A core part of the role will be working with people to address holistic support needs across all aspects of the person’s substance use and wellbeing. This could include diverse work related to physical & emotional wellbeing, knowledge and understanding of drugs / alcohol / treatment, relationship with substance user, relationships with family and friends, meaningful activity, self-care and goal setting.
An energetic and confident self-starter, you have experience in Family/Carer work or a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in family support or the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. Experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and engaging effectively with clients in a variety of settings is essential. You’ll also need a flexible approach, excellent record keeping and report writing skills and a willingness to work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings, on an outreach basis, with a central hub base at our head office.
This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

We’re looking for a qualified Vision Rehabilitation Specialist (ROVI) to work for an important charity offering a wide variety of services to vision-impaired people across Cheshire, Halton, and North Wales.

Location: Home based with regular travel across Wrexham, with the requirement to work from the Council Offices and company offices on occasion
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week)

Salary: £33,977.84 - £35,246.40 per annum

About the role:
As Vision Rehabilitation Specialist, you will identify, deliver and evaluate professional rehabilitation interventions to vision impaired people to enhance their skills and confidence to maximise their independence.
You will provide a person-centred outcome-focussed approach to rehabilitation; supporting people to identify measurable outcomes, carry out assessments and develop a plan that will support each person to achieve their outcomes and meet their needs, reducing risks and lessening the impact of their VI.
The Vision Rehabilitation Specialist will work collaboratively with other services within the organisation to ensure individuals are receiving support whilst waiting for assessment and rehabilitation.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Triage – To carry out an initial conversation, in line with the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act, to identify further actions, and risk factors, refer and signpost to the organisation’s wider services and other organisations to meet the individuals’ desired outcomes.
- Assessment - To undertake specialist VI assessments with the person to identify their needs and aspirations to promote independent living.
- Plan – To agree a plan with the person about how their needs can be met, through other services, equipment and rehabilitation.
- Rehabilitation and service provision – To implement, evaluate and review rehabilitative services to the vision-impaired person aimed at maximising and maintaining independence, safety, dignity, and choice. Rehabilitation may include, but not be restricted to:
- Daily Living Skills – to include the teaching of new skills or adapted practice for all aspects of daily living, home management, employment and leisure.
- Communication Skills – to include all forms of access to communication including but not limited to print, Braille, Moon, audio description, ICT, telephones, Deafblind manual and block alphabet.
- Mobility training – To develop planned programmes of training to develop independence in indoor and outdoor mobility environments, including training in guiding skills, pre-cane, long cane, orientation (including specialist equipment) and route planning techniques.
- Low vision - To provide training/therapy in coordination with local NHS low vision services that help individuals make the best use of functional vision.
- Risk –To identify, assess and mitigate risk throughout the rehabilitation provision.
- To work with vision-impaired people who have additional complex needs.
- To assess and recommend minor works of adaptation and liaise with all relevant parties in line with appropriate budgets and policies.
- To provide statistical information to feed into quarterly contract monitoring reports.
- To enable the Local Authority to maintain their Partially Sighted/Sight Impaired and Blind/Severely Sight Impaired Registers.
Key skills required for this role:
- Foundation Degree in Rehabilitation Studies (Visual Impairment) or equivalent.
- Ability to develop clear plans and communicate these to service users and other staff.
- Recognised rehabilitation work qualification (or currently working towards it)
- Proven experience in performing rehabilitation assessments with visually impaired people and providing mobility, communication and daily living skills training.
- Working knowledge of good practice relating to safeguarding.
- Ability to deliver training/advice sessions to individuals or groups of service users, carers and other organisations.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, including lone worker policies.
- Ability to travel and work in all areas of Flintshire and Wrexham.
- Strong personal organisation/time management.
- Proven track record of maintaining and updating personal records for clients.
- Ability to record service management statistics.
- Be calm and deal sensitively with people and be open-minded to all cultures and ways of life.
- Work on own initiative, whilst exercising discretion and confidentiality.
- Be a team player.
- Be willing to work flexibly (outlook, work hours, work location).
- Able to implement programmes in partnership with other agencies.
About the organisation:
The employer is a well-established organisation with a strong history of promoting independence and support to people with vision impairments (VI). Offering a wide variety of services for vision-impaired people across Cheshire, Halton and North Wales, including counselling, digital skills, financial wellbeing and benefits advice, home visiting, community outreach, and peer support. These services complement rehabilitation to create a wraparound service for our clients.
The organisation delivers the vision rehabilitation contracts to four local authorities across Northeast Wales. The team are managed and led by qualified and experienced Vision Rehabilitation Specialists (VRS), ensuring the best support from people who understand the role. You would be a part of a wider team of VRSs, meeting regularly to share learning and to give and receive support.
The employer understands the importance for all their staff to receive additional training as needed and support from the wider sector, so RWPN registration and membership fees are covered for the VRS team by the organisation. The organisation is also represented in the Wales Rehabilitation Officers Forum (WROF) and the Wales Vision Forum, to ensure that we are up to date with any changes affecting VRS working in Wales. VRS are also able to meet with other VRS more widely than Wales through the organisation’s membership of Visionary.

The Oasis Hub Waterloo team are currently looking for a Foodbank Trusts & Corporate Fundraiser to raise much-needed funds for our Waterloo Foodbank and other strategic partners.
The successful applicant would be responsible for writing funding bids for trusts, and also developing relationships with local businesses, to increase our unrestricted corporate income.
Some of the duties of this newly created role include:
· Research and identify potential short- and long-term funders from among grant making trusts and statutory bodies.
· To prepare written applications in co-operation with and on behalf of Waterloo Foodbank projects and ensure suitable budgets are prepared.
· Develop relationships with corporate organisations that align with our values and vision that would be open to an approach for financial support.
The successful applicant will also need to demonstrate:
· Proven successful experience of fundraising.
· Understanding of the statutory and grant-making funding sector.
· Experience of researching and developing targeted proposals for presentation to prospective supporters.
· Experience of fundraising from corporates.
· Excellent written skills including writing persuasive copy for funding proposals.
