A flexible approach is important too, as is a commitment to taking a client centred approach to providing services and working in a way that recognises and values diversity.

This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

About the role

You will:

-Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people children and young people experiencing, or at risk, of homelessness. You will hold a caseload, and be committed to championing the rights of these young people, working with a broad range of other stakeholders and agencies to do so.

-Support with developing the quality of services and projects delivered by Coram Voice to children and young people. This includes under Coram Voice’s Homelessness Outreach Project.

-You will support in the promotion of good practice across both Coram Voice and external organisations, building equitable and inclusive practice across the sector for homeless children and young people.

Our advocates will have relevant experience with children and young people, and may hold a suitable Advocacy Qualification. For the right candidate, we may also be able to offer this post as a Trainee position, and offer support to gain qualifications. Can you help us to support new dads and dads-to-be?

We are recruiting a Dad Matters Coordinator to help us reach more families across Barnet, Brent and Harrow. They will work alongside our team of Coordinators, local Family Hubs and a range of services including Maternity, Health Visiting and Children's Services. 

The Dad Matters Coordinator will deliver a range of universal and targeted interventions aimed at fathers in the First 1001 Days. They will support dads and other male carers with attachment and bonding, mental health and access to service. They also work with professionals and perinatal services to ensure dads and male carers are engaged, supported and heard within clinical pathways. Addtionally, they will help develop and run sessions with dads and will  be at the forefront of growing our Dad Matters volunteering opportunities.

Reporting to the Airdesk Team Leader, you will primarily be based at Coventry Airport, with occasional travel to other operational sites. This is a full time role (average of 40 hours per week) with the service operating 7 days a week, 365 days per year, working on a rota covering up until 2am. The role attracts an initial salary of £25,750-£27,810.

The Airdesk Operations Coordinator will be responsible for the effective tasking and dispatching of our aircraft when a request for service is received. The Airdesk Operations Coordinator will be the first point of contact for our NHS Clinical Partner Teams and responsible for managing all aspects of a mission from initial request through to mission completion, making the abilities of being able to work under pressure and multitasking essential requirements of the role. You must possess a high attention to detail and level of accuracy along with having a positive and motivational outlook.
Alongside providing outstanding service to our patients, NHS Clinical Partner Teams (CPT) and flight crews you will be required to provide other administrative support to the Airdesk Team Leader and Head of Operations.

• To be the Charity’s link with its outsourced payroll service and act as system administrator for HR and payroll software. Providing advice to staff on self-service use, ensuring the HR system utilisation is maximised by the Charity.
• Manage the day-to-day HR administration at all stages of the employee journey, from recruitment and onboarding to leavers.
• Co-ordinate and manage the recruitment process – including overseeing the selection process and attending interviews as the Charity’s inclusive panel member to reduce bias and ensure equality of opportunity.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive onboarding and induction process.
• Ensure HR policies meet legal requirements.
• Oversight of attendance and leave arrangements, ensuring all absence is properly authorised and processed accurately.

Who are they looking for:

You will have achieved or near completion of your Level 3 CIPD or equivalent qualification and be planning to progress to Level 5.

You will have experience of:

• Working as a HR administrator and developing HR admin processes
• Working as a HR Advisor – dealing with recruitment and selection, working with HR policies and providing advice to line managers
• Ideally you will have developed and implemented new HR policies and initiatives and have experience of providing employment law advice and guidance but if not, they will help you to build your skills in these areas.
• You’ll have strong interpersonal and IT skills and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. You’ll understand the importance of attention to detail and being able to manage sensitive and confidential information. You’ll also have a good appreciation of GDPR in relation to HR practices.

Right now, we are looking for an Employment Specialist to join our Surrey Employment service in the Talking Therapies team. We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment, we also support people to retain their employment when they are struggling at work due to their mental health. We also advise and support employers about mental health in the workplace. But it’s only possible with people like you.

Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with partner organisations, local employers and Talking Therapy teams and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.

As well as a good understanding of mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.

The post holder will have the ability to travel independently across a large geographical area within Surrey.

This is a temporary 12-month contract requiring the post holder to work 30 hours a week.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Centre Operations to work for one of the UK’s top animal welfare charities based in Watford, committed to improving the lives of the UK’s pets and striving to give every animal the best chance of finding a new home.

Position: Head of Centre Operations

About the role:

The Head of Centre Operations is responsible for delivering the Trust’s strategic aims through a team of over ninety employees, as well as a significant number of volunteers across the organisations five rescue and re-homing centres and remote supporter groups.

This is a ‘hands-on’ role, the Head of Operations will plan, lead and consistently deliver in the charity’s rescue, rehoming and preventative work; maintaining high standards of animal welfare and customer service at all times.

About you:

The ideal person for this role will have a strong track record of management and leading teams across multiple site locations, you will also have experience in the following:

• A strong focus on coaching and a history of employee development
• An excellent verbal and written communicator
• Confident in using IT in the workplace, particularly Microsoft word, excel and presentations
• Experience in managing diverse operations across multi-site locations.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and workflows simultaneously
• The ability to influence organisational strategy as part of the senior team

For a leading charity for girls and young women in the UK, we're recruiting a Financial Controller to join their ambitious, busy, and dynamic Finance and Commercial Team in London. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will manage all day-to-day financial controls and processing and will lead on the year-end audit and statutory reporting process. Whilst providing expert advice on VAT and other taxes, the Financial Controller will also take a lead on strengthening financial controls and systems and will lead and develop a Finance team of 3 staff.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead all day-to-day financial controls and processing for HQ and lead the financial support to stakeholders.
• Lead on annual external Audit across the Group (Charity and Trading Subsidiary) and prepare statutory financial statements - being the main point of contact with the Auditors
• Lead strategic oversight of the cash flow and investments
• Provide first-class advice on all tax matters. Prepare VAT and Corporation Tax returns, maximise Gift Aid, and support HR with payroll taxes
• Manage, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of 3 staff (Financial Operations Lead, Finance Officer and Finance Assistant)
• Partner with the Systems Accountant in the identification and implementation of systems changes and developments

What you'll offer us:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with solid experience of managing year-end and annual audit processes
• Strong people and process management and a track record of developing a multi-skilled finance team
• Experience leading the annual audit process, liaising with external Audit.
• Experience of cash-flow forecasting and treasury management
• Charity accounting, VAT and Tax experience would be beneficial
