Outward is a London based charity and is seeking a Deputy Manager to support the management of a respite service in Tower Hamlets.

The respite service supports about 80 adults with learning disabilities and autism to have overnight stays at Hotel in the Park each year. This newly renovated 7 bed service provides support to people from the borough who have a vast range of support needs. Positioned next to the open space of Victoria Park and all the opportunities that London has to offer, guests enjoy a range of activities both in house and in the community.

About You
· Experience of managing a service for people with a learning disability/autism and complex needs or behaviours of concern is essential
· You will have experience of staff management and the ability to lead, motivate and develop a large team, ensuring staff are appropriately trained. You will be visible in the service and strive to model best practice and inspire support workers.
· A qualification in Positive Behaviour Support Coaching (BILD accredited), or a willingness to gain the qualifications within the first 12 months of employment is essential.
· You will be an excellent communicator liaising effectively with key stakeholders including the multi-disciplinary and health professionals, family carers and people we support.
· You will be able to think creatively and be adaptable in approaches, with experience of implementing emergency management guidance to support staff.
· Experience of carrying out needs assessments and creating support and risk management plans and be committed to include the person, and their circle of support at all times.
· A commitment to providing high quality, personalised active support
· Leading by example, you will uphold the rights of people we support to be involved at all levels of decision making.

We’re seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Learning & Development team as a part time Learning & Development Administrator.

We are looking for an energetic, knowledgeable, friendly, flexible person to lead the Energy Team based in Wrexham. Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and lead-deliver a wide variety of energy and carbon reduction projects and activities with communities, businesses, and individuals across North Wales.
- Plan and support the Energy Advice Team to deliver our service in line with all funder and contract requirements, ensuring quality of support, time management and report requirements are all completed in appropriate time aligned with all requirements.
- Manage and monitor the Energy Advice Team through performance monitoring and monthly review.
- Using a standard Groundwork Federation GHG Inventory Tool for emission reporting develop, deliver and monitor our annual carbon reduction plan, working with business managers to ensure data is recoded correctly and improvements to our carbon footprint are made.
- Facilitate the renewal of the Green Dragon accreditation, implementing and managing our internal environment systems and processes up to a level 3 standard.
- Arrange and carry out home visits to support residents in reducing their carbon emissions and to save money by lowering the level of consumption and cost of energy.
- Advocate and liaise for householders with energy companies and gas and electric network providers to ensure customers receive the best possible deal for their requirements.
- Work with referral partners to identify vulnerable households, and evidence eligibility to provide support with energy advice and administer emergency fuel vouchers.
- Provide effective support, both advisory and practical, to enable people to make positive changes to their behaviour and to improve the quality of their lives; record actions and highlight the importance of keeping warm to the health and wellbeing of residents.
- Assist residents to access other relevant and complementary services and agencies, liaising with other agencies to assist residents to access funding and support to deliver larger energy efficiency measures.
- Liaise with residents on a day-to-day basis in a professional and friendly manner and build good working relationships with them either face to face or through the provision of telephone advice.
- Oversee the booking and scheduling of visits and respond to referrals from funders in a timely manner.
- Oversee the ordering of stock, ensuring stock levels are maintained and stock is monitored closely.

We are looking for someone both to deliver our immigration casework and to manage and develop our immigration advice services, including recruitment, line management & supervision of relevant staff and volunteers. The post holder will provide one-to-one legal immigration advice, casework and practical support to migrant and refugee clients in Brighton & Hove and Sussex in the areas of out-of-scope immigration and occasionally asylum work (up to OISC L2). You will also provide supervision for L1 and trainee staff and volunteer advisors as required. You will share the management of our broader advice & casework team, including generalist and resettlement casework, with our current generalist and resettlement managers.
You will be accredited to provide immigration advice at minimum OISC Level 2 and expected to carry a caseload of cases largely out of the scope of legal aid. For cases within scope you will make active referrals or signpost to legal aid providers wherever possible and practical.
Along with other managers you will lead on the development of our casework management system, AdvicePro, to ensure that agreed advice and organisational outcomes are embedded from the outset, and that staff and volunteers are trained and equipped to understand and provide these. You will be required to monitor and report against projects as needed by both funders and internally for e.g. the director and trustees.
You will be expected to participate in local networks and to participate and lead on conversations to develop immigration advice capacity in the city and region and to influence change and find solutions to the critical lack of immigration advice on the south coast.
You will have an awareness of clients’ holistic needs and be able to signpost and refer both internally and externally as appropriate to address needs including destitution; asylum support; children’s, family and adult social care; welfare benefits; housing & homelessness; access to mainstream and voluntary sector services including ESOL and employability, health and mental health care; and referrals into activities and services that can respond to people’s strengths and skills as well as their needs, including our own support groups and volunteering opportunities.

Regular supervisions will be provided by the Director, as well as access to external training on specific issues where needed. Black Thrive Global (BTG) evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth Partnership, established in 2016. We exist to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and well-being of Black people so that the thriving of Black communities is the norm.
Our guiding principle is that Black communities should be at the forefront of reimagining, redefining, and co-creating a society where systemic racism and other oppressive systems have been dismantled so that they have fulfilling lives. We have two priorities – building a Black Thrive Research Institute and embedding race equity in systems change.
Purpose and Overview
The PCREF Programme aims to reduce and ultimately eliminate racial disparities in the services provided by the South London and Maudsley (SLaM) NHS Trust. The programme's success will be monitored through the Trust’s Performance & Quality system, emphasising collaboration between the Trust's staff, Black service users, their carers, and Black communities. The goal is to ensure equitable access, experiences, and outcomes for Black citizens utilising the Trust's services.
The Programme Manager for the Independent Advisory Groups (IAGs) in Lambeth and Southwark is crucial in advancing the objectives of the PCREF. This role focuses on fostering active community participation, building capacity, and ensuring that Black communities are equal partners in the transformational change programme. The Programme Manager will lead the development and support of local IAGs, ensuring robust governance, structure, and capacity building to improve mental health services.
Supporting the IAGs and the IAG chairs is fundamental to this role. It serves to enhance the capacity of the IAGs and chairs. Whilst the job description provides a succinct outline of responsibilities, ultimately the needs of the IAGs will be paramount, with direct leadership from the Director at Black Thrive. This role is in collaboration with various stakeholders, with a clearer focus on project mismanagement and varied learning styles. Leadership must be aligned with the IAGs, ensuring diverse and inclusive practices.
Supporting policy development is crucial, and there should be an agreement on oversight, with all parties having joint oversight and review responsibilities. Reporting back to the IAGs will be a key component.
The Programme Manager is expected to be a proactive and strategic leader, passionate about equity in mental health services and capable of driving meaningful change through collaboration with diverse community members and partners. Duties and Responsibilities
DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT
· Establish and Develop IAGs: Lead on supporting the creation and ongoing development of local IAGs in Lambeth and Southwark, ensuring robust governance structures and effective capacity building.
· Resource Management: support in Identifying and secure necessary resources, including financial, human, and material, to support IAG activities in both boroughs.
· Recruitment and Role Assignment: support in the recruit of diverse community members from Lambeth and Southwark to join IAGs, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and assigned.
· General Management Duties: Temporarily oversee and manage day-to-day operations, supporting community service development initiatives and ensuring smooth running of IAG activities.
COMMUNITY ENGAGMENT AND COLLABORATION
· Facilitate Community Engagement: Support both IAG chairs in enhancing community engagement through active participation in IAGs, collaborating with SLaM and various voluntary/community organisations.

Purpose of the Role
The Helpline Manager will manage and provide support and advice to a team of Helpline Support / Case Workers and Helpline volunteers who will be handling calls. The role will also include occasionally providing helpline cover during staff shortages. The helpline supports women on more than 45 different issues with the majority of call related to various forms of violence and abuse as well as mental health and wellbeing.
The Helpline Manager will be responsible in ensuring that the service continues to be culturally sensitive and be able to respond to a diverse population of women with complex needs. A significant part of the role will encompass managing staff / volunteer rotas, monitoring staff performance, identifying and managing safeguarding issues, ensuring that the helpline database is being maintained and providing helpline data to other staff. The role will also include attending external stakeholder meetings and raising awareness of the helpline service. The Helpline Manager will also have some involvement in other MWNUK projects, services and activities as required. The role requires a proactive, organised and practical approach to ensure MWNUK’s projects are delivered effectively and efficiently, providing high quality support and customer service across the organisation, both internally and externally.
Main responsibilities
· Supervising the Helpline team of 11 staff (however this is equivalent to 3 full time staff per day only) and ensuring there is sufficient helpline cover and monitoring their wellbeing.
· Recruiting and training helpline volunteers and staff with the support of senior management and ensuring their development needs are flagged up.
· Monitoring performance of helpline staff through monthly supervision meetings and annual appraisals.
· Identification, handling and recording of all safeguarding risks and issues for both children and adults, including in instances of domestic abuse, forced marriage, honour-based violence, sexual abuse, self-harm, isolation, housing, marriage and divorce etc.
· Reviewing helpline cases before they are closed ensuring the data has been properly recorded.
· Monitoring helpline data and identifying any trends and sharing them with senior management and the Advocacy Officer.
· Maintenance of accurate records, online databases, filing systems and computer files and gathering of statistics as required by the Operational Director and / or CEO and external evaluating consultant.
· Maintenance of all information in line with confidentiality and data protection policies while observing professional boundaries at all times.
· Holding monthly helpline team meetings and sharing learning as well as identifying and sharing interesting cases with senior management and the Advocacy Officer.
· Attending external meetings e.g. MARAC meetings, engaging with police and social services.
Other duties
· When required (i.e. when there are staff shortages) provide cover on the helpline and respond to phone calls, emails, texts and webchat in a faith and culturally sensitive manner.
· Keeping up to date with helpline issues such as forced marriages, domestic violence, honour-based violence, sexual violence, female genital mutilation, mental health, discrimination and women’s rights – including assisting with projects and services on these issues.
· Promoting the helpline’s services to a range of stakeholders.
· Occasionally (if required) delivering training workshops and leading discussions online and in schools, colleges, and community organisations on issues such as forced marriages, domestic violence, FGM, honour-based violence, child sexual exploitation etc.
· Carrying out duties to support to the Operational Director and / CEO.
· Attending training as required.
· Undertaking outreach work if required.
Person Specification
· Strong experience of dealing with minority ethnic women particularly from Muslim communities who have suffered domestic violence and other forms of abuse such as forced marriage, honour-based violence, sexual violence, mental health issues etc.
· Knowledge of key issues that will arise on the helpline such as domestic violence, forced marriage, honour-based violence, sexual violence, mental health, hate crime etc.
· Strong experience of identifying and handling safeguarding issues for both children and vulnerable adults.
· Experience of managing, supporting and supervising a small team.
· Second language such as Arabic, Bangla, Punjabi or Urdu.
· Excellent IT skills (word processing, databases, spread sheets and Outlook).
· Able to build relationships with whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
· Proactiveness, enthusiasm and commitment along with an honest and trustworthy approach to the role.
· High level of professionalism when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
· Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with solid communication skills – written and verbal.
· Experience of effective teamwork i.e. listening (including taking on feedback), being respectful and instilling confidence and motivation into staff and volunteers.
· Ability to work independently without supervision and being able to use initiative.
· The ability to work in a positive manner, under tight deadlines.
· Understanding of and adherence to confidentiality and data protection issues and an understanding of maintaining professional boundaries.

Katherine Low Settlement has worked with older people since its conception in 1924.They are a core part of the community that we continue to work with. We provide, often in partnership, a range of projects and activities for older people including health and wellbeing; creative arts; intergenerational work; connecting people and trips/outings. Our services include an Older People's Lunch Club, Contact Club, T’ai Chi for Elders, exercise and social sessions, and support online.

Role Purpose
We are seeking to recruit a manager to lead a frontline team. This role will suit an experienced people manager who is friendly, kind and able to manage a busy workload. Someone who can motivate staff and volunteers, engage with elders and be solution focused.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the day to day running of the Elders Core Service as part of the wider Elders Programme. This includes the three day a week lunch club, transport offer and social sessions and one-off activities and trips.
• Lead a team of dedicated part-time paid staff and volunteers. The team members include a cook, support worker, minibus driver and sessional workers such as exercise tutors.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to provide this “hands on” programme which builds on older people’s strengths and potential.
• Manage the monitoring and evaluation of the project.
• Ensure the programme runs to budget.
• Support the planning of the core programme with Elders members themselves and with the wider team.
• Recruit, assess and support new and existing members (service users)
• Manage waiting lists for the programme
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Planning and oversight
• Working with the Head of Programme, ensure that all service output meets KLS’ vision, mission, values and charitable objects and with the Head of Programme, ensure the service meets the programme strategy and KLS’s 5-year strategy.
• Ensure the smooth delivery of core older people's activities throughout the week and organise, plan and promote agreed one-off activities throughout the year in a timely and planned manner.
• Manage the transport offer, including route planning and pick-up schedules of older people to and from KLS’ activities with the Minibus Driver. Ensuring the Minibus Driver maintains records.
• Ensure activity records and registers are kept accurately and up to date as well as case work notes for the core team, completing regular checks on this. We use a Salesforce Database for which training will be given.
• Actively support the social and support needs of our older people as appropriate, including safeguarding issues and being a first contact for compliments and complaints for the service.
• To be part of, and work closely with, the wider elder's team, sharing information regarding elders on a regular basis where appropriate.
• Conduct outreach and support work with older people in the community and on home visits and oversee the case work of the Core Team as well as having a small caseload. This does not involve advice work but is mainly signposting, referral and light advocacy.
Staff and volunteer management
• Take responsibility for the Core Programme. This includes line management of the Outreach and Support Workers, Lunch Club Cook and key relevant social activities workers and volunteers related to the core programme (we do also have a KLS Volunteer Manager who recruits volunteers).
• Ensure performance management and quality systems are used to monitor and evaluate the project’s work, processes and safeguarding.
• Managing individual volunteers as part of the Core Programme Team.
Relationships, comms and networks
• Continue to build and sustain strong relationships with our members.
• Contribute to comms for the service with the Head of Service. Oversee the comms for the Core Programme including the shared service newsletter, activities calendar, annual report and social media platforms.
• Attend meetings as requested on behalf of the Core Programme.
Finance
• Manage the project areas to budget, maintain basic financial records as agreed with the Head of Programme – in this instance this is usually a petty cash sheet.
Safeguarding
• Responsible for ensuring adherence to policies and procedures across the core team, ensuring that safeguarding is at the forefront of KLS’ delivery.
Undertake other duties
• Participate in regular management supervision and annual appraisal; help to identify your own job-related development and training needs
• Undertake your role in a professional manner and maintain a high-quality standard of work in accordance with the aims, values and ethos of KLS
Skills and Experience
• Experience of working with older people in a community setting
• Experience of line managing a small team in a community setting
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including communicating with people from a wide range of backgrounds and when working individually or in groups
• Strong multi-tasking skills and time management
• Ability to work as part of a small team, whilst also working independently
• Experience of monitoring and evaluating projects effectively and ensuring that they are consistently meeting needs
• Understanding and experience of safeguarding, and health & safety in theory and in practice
• Excellent IT skills including MS Office suite and ability to use Internet, email and social media. Database experience would be an advantage (Salesforce)

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working Project Manager to lead, the Building Stronger Futures for Older Veterans project.
You will play the key role in leading, managing and overseeing the project, ensuring that it meets key targets and timescales and prepare progress reports as required by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust and by senior managers within Age Cymru Dyfed. The Project Manager will also play a key role in setting the terms of reference and informing the Project Advisory Group and Project Reference Groups. The former consists of key representation from the NHS LA’s and the Third Sector, and the latter of older veterans.
