We are looking for a Fundraising Events Coordinator to join our high performing Community & Events Team. The team are driven to maximise opportunities, striving to reach ambitious targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.
The Fundraising Events team raises funds through a range of bespoke and third-party events such as One Million Steps Challenge, Swim 22, London Marathon and Great North Run. Since the pandemic, events at Diabetes UK have seen a strong come-back and we are now in a position to achieve significant and sustainable growth. The Fundraising Events Coordinator is a key role within our Engagement & Fundraising Directorate, helping deliver incredible experiences for any supporter that chooses to take on an event for Diabetes UK.

Main Responsibilities
As a Fundraising Events Coordinator you will provide an excellent customer experience to participants taking on fundraising events for Diabetes UK. The Fundraising Events Coordinator will provide professional, timely and engaging support that enhances supporter stewardship and maximises income generation.
You'll be supporting the Fundraising Events Managers, acting as first point of contact for our supporters, providing admin support through telephone, email, and social media channels. You'll build and manage relationships with existing and new supporters. From registration to the end of their supporter journey, you'll help create amazing experiences for our event participants, from the moment they engage with Diabetes UK, building loyalty that lasts beyond event day. This role works with data through maintaining our database and you'll also need to update records on platforms like JustGiving and Enthuse. This requires accuracy and working under the requirements of GDPR.
Assigned 'lead coordinator' on high profile events, you will support the Event Manager with the development and delivery of events from setting up registration forms all the way through to post-event thanking. You'll also work with other teams and suppliers that support the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories.
You may also be responsible for management of your own projects as well as maintaining & optimising administrative systems and processes.

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a confident, conscientious team player, with excellent customer service skills, who is quick to learn, highly organised and a proactive problem solver. They will have worked in a customer service focused administrative role, preferably in the charity sector. They will also have strong abilities in managing competing deadlines and organising their time effectively to prioritise workload. They will be able to effectively build working relationships with colleagues in a professional manner and demonstrate high standards of written and verbal communication.
An exciting opportunity to join the Rank Foundation team in London or Penrith as Alumni Development Officer through the Time to Shine leadership programme. This new post has been created to support the development and implementation of a range of activities to engage and connect with the Rank Fellows to foster long lasting relationships. Key accountabilities:
Alumni Programme Research & Development:
- To assist with the identification of and engagement with the wider alumni community
- To implement a range of activities to engage with Rank’s alumni community;
- To design, plan and deliver Fellowship events, webinars, and other programmes that promote networking and professional development opportunities among Fellows/alumni;
- To create and develop relationships with the Fellows/alumni to increase involvement in the Foundation’s activities;
- To administer the mentoring programme connecting older Fellows with younger ones at the beginning of their professional careers;
- To liaise with the Comms team to raise the social media profile of the Rank Fellowship Alumni Network;
- To serve as the primary point of contact for alumni inquiries, communications, and requests;
- To be the secretariat for the Fellows Leadership Team, drafting agendas, minute taking, and following up on actions
- To design, plan and deliver School Leadership events with support from the Finance & Operations Officer
Data & Reporting:
- Manage the Fellowship database, ensuring it is kept up to date
- Send out digital surveys, monitor and track key deliverables;
- Collect achievements and contributions from Fellows to showcase impact;
- Collate and prepare reports based on survey outcomes to assess the effectiveness of the programme.

St Columba’s House is a Christian retreat and conference centre in Woking with residential and day guests coming for a wide variety of purposes. The Centre is owned by St Peter's Charity. Although we are a Christian charity, our guests come from all faiths and none. This role will co-ordinate and assist with all aspects of marketing at St Columba’s House. We are looking for someone who can promote our own programme of events and promote the House more widely as a venue for group bookings.
Our marketing activities include e-mail newsletters, social media, website, printed material and traditional advertisements. This role requires a broad range of skills: good visual, copywriting, organisational, computer and people skills and a flexible working approach to handle everything from designing promotional materials to keeping the website up to date, from using social media to handling guest data. A good working knowledge of Indesign or Canva, Wordpress, Photoshop, Mailchimp, Meta advertising, Facebook & Instagram is essential to the role. A good knowledge of photo and video editing would be an advantage.

We are looking for a friendly, highly organised individual to oversee the daily running of our Visitor Centre at Glenda Spooner Farm which nestled in the stunning Somerset countryside, just outside the cozy township of Somerton. The main aim of the role is to ensure that all visitors have an enjoyable and informative experience, whilst assisting the Senior Centre Promotions Officer and Centre Manager with the organisation of a variety of events.
The successful candidate will be approachable with the ability to communicate with people at all levels. You will be flexible, self-motivated and proactive with the confidence to deal with people at all levels. This role deals with enquiries relating to the hiring and use of centre’s facilities (indoor school and conference room) and the subsequent co-ordination of bookings, ensuring the arrangements meet all requirements. You will promote the charity’s membership schemes and ensure all promotional and display material, including merchandise, is up to date and presented professionally. A knowledge and experience of horses would be advantageous.
This role offers up to 32 hours per week over 4 days. It is operated on a flexible basis and would suit a job-share as weekend working is required. A flexible approach towards working hours is essential as some events can take place outside of normal working hours.

The role
Reporting to the Events and Community Fundraising Manager, you will play a crucial role as part of the Fundraising Team by providing the highest levels of fundraising and event administration support to ensure the provision of seamless, excellent supporter care and assistance to our supporters.

Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
· Be the primary contact point with our supporters and fundraisers to provide excellent customer care

· Ensure all fundraising income (cash, cheques online platform donations) is processed and recorded correctly onto the Donorfy database, and thanked in a timely manner
· Record as necessary enquiries, correspondence and responses on Donorfy
· Be the primary point of contact for our challenge events and community fundraisers. Build excellent relationships with them and provide materials and support, liaising before, during and following their activity/event as needed
· To work with the team to provide support for key fundraising activities such as the London Marathon and other challenge events. This will include assisting with event administration, answering telephone calls, responding to emails, thanking participants, processing donations, sending materials to participants and updating records on Donorfy
· Monitor our general email inboxes and respond to all enquiries in a timely manner
· Monitor Social Media and assist with providing content and responding to any enquires that come through these mediums
· Be responsible for ensuring stock control is monitored, both at the office and at our fulfilment house
· Appeal support: this may include contributing to content and will include monitoring schedules and deadlines

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering South Gloucestershire. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as hospitals and care homes across the area to meet with clients and professionals and be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
About you
Desirably you will have some experience of working, providing welfare, supporting, or caring for Adults or young people who have support needs, ideally for those with a variety of communication needs, mental ill health, physical health issues, or barriers to accessing education and support.
You should have worked or volunteered in health, social care, welfare, support services, education or young person’s services, or advice and guidance.

Live Music Coordinator
We have an exciting opportunity for a Live Music Coordinator in the North of England to support the delivery of live music experiences improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.
This is remote working role in the North of England, so please only apply if you live within a commutable distance of the area.
Position: Live Music Coordinator
Location: Remote based in the North of England (Yorkshire and Humberside, North West or North East).
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £23,400 per annum
Contract: Fixed term contract until end of June 2025, with the potential to extend beyond this date.

The Role
The Live Music Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of live music experiences across the North of England, improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.
You will work with professional musicians to share live music with people who may not otherwise get to experience it, organising programmes with partner organisations, in line with the organisation’s strategy and operational plan.
You will also support the delivery of the annual programme of live music experiences communicating with hospitals, hospices, care homes and the community. This includes those living with dementia, who have mental health problems, or who are seriously ill.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Coordination of the live music programme
- Prepare reports and appropriate feedback to the Live Music Manager and support to the Fundraising and Communications team as per the reporting timeframes required
- Inform the Live Music Manager of progress and developments
- Support the Live Music Manager to manage and deliver services
- Encourage, collate and monitor feedback reports from healthcare centres, participants and musicians
- Ensure effective administration in accordance with the UK-wide system for facilitating and contracting of individual health and care settings and musicians
- Provide copy for publications such the newsletter and Annual Report.
- Support Safeguarding and Health and Safety compliance within geographic area of responsibility

The Fundraising Assistant will be a key member of the fundraising team. Supporting the team to deliver a wider range of fundraising activities including events, challenges and campaigns as well as helping maximise the supporter journey and providing excellent donor care. Main Responsibilities:
- Importing data in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
- Construction of automated tasks in the CRM which are assigned to other members of the team to enable stewardship via the correct fundraising team member.
- To assist the fundraising team by providing administrative support for the charities events and campaigns to maximise income.
- To assist with the administration of event participants and ticket buyers, including responding to enquiries in a timely fashion, building relationships by phone and email and encouraging and motivating participants to meet and exceed targets
- To keep up to date records of all collection boxes and buckets in the community
- To be the first point of contact for phone face to face plus emails via the fundraising inbox for all fundraising enquiries, respond in a timely manner and recognise the opportunity to build relationships and encourage fundraising support.
- To run and analyse weekly financial reports to ensure donations are recorded correctly and the appropriate thank you has been sent.
- Support regular gift aid claim submissions to HMRC to take place monthly.
