This is a new role giving you the opportunity and responsibility to build on our successful fundraising and extend our appeal to new donors as well as maintain our existing supporters. You will need demonstrable fundraising experience and the ability to work confidently as a strategic thinker and as a practical fundraiser. You will hit the ground running and come with strong ideas and skills to implement them.

As head of fundraising you will work closely with the CEO to grow charitable income and philanthropic support from governments, individuals, trusts and foundations, corporate companies and other areas. You will help her drive the charity's work forward and work closely with our project teams and see the direct impact of your efforts.

You will have developed your portfolio of fundraising skills over time within charities that work for social good and can demonstrate experiene in securing fundraising income particularly in securing five and six figure grants/donations. Experience of securing statutory funding will be essential. You will have experience of line managing junior fundraising staff and will be keen to develop your managerial responsibility.

You will be a confident and capable leader who will work with colleagues towards supporting an annual programme of circa £3m. This role is crucial to building the charity's long-term sustainability, with a focus on exploring innovative opportunities.

The role involves delivering sports coaching sessions and creating opportunities for youth participation, including co-produced projects, volunteering, accredited training, and pathways to employment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Delivering high-quality sports coaching sessions, particularly in the evenings, while assisting in the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of sports programmes.

· Developing new partnerships and programmes and support the development of new initiatives such as Tennis for All or All-Play Community Football.

· Creating and managing progressive sports programmes designed to engage young people and encourage ongoing participation.

· Support an accredited training programme that helps local residents qualify as sports coaches/leaders, preparing them for employment, leadership roles, work placements, and volunteering opportunities.

· A passion for sports, and a minimum Level 2 coaching qualification.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for programme administration and reporting.

Role Overview:

Create marketing materials to advertise volunteer opportunities & use data to inform recruitment activity. Manage onboarding of volunteers including interviews, DBS and references. Organise and run induction sessions for new volunteers.
• Volunteer management & support: Maintain an up-to-date database of volunteers, including contact information, availability, and skills. Schedule and assign volunteers to sessions based on their availability & monitor attendance. Serve as the main point of contact for all volunteers, addressing enquiries and resolving any issues. Work with Club Committees (lead volunteers) to foster a positive and inclusive environment for volunteers, encouraging teamwork and community spirit.
• Marketing & Communications: Develop social media marketing and email communications to support recruitment and retention of volunteers in line with strategy.
• Setup of new swimming clubs: Scope & contact future pool partners, develop and deliver engagement plans to recruit new volunteers and swimmers to attend the club when it opens in partnership with WeSwim team. 
• Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders including: local authorities, community organisations, disability charities & sports clubs. Represent WeSwim at community events, meetings, and public engagements. Develop and implement strategies to increase the club’s visibility and reputation in the community.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial management

● Lead the setting, tracking and reporting of budgets and fundraising targets

● Maintain accurate records of income and expenditure on a cash and accrual basis

● Manage bookkeeping for the charity, including invoicing and bank reconciliations

● Keep accurate records of funding allocations, especially restricted and unrestricted income

● Work with our accountant to produce end-of-year accounts and prepare for audit

● Build strong relationships within The Economist Group finance team to support with financial management and compliance

● Ensure the charity remains tax compliant, including managing quarterly VAT returns and reviewing funding contracts

Operations, people and governance

● Build and maintain operational processes across the organisation which support the successful delivery of our work globally

● Support the team to accurately monitor and evaluate their progress towards targets

● Work with senior leadership and hiring managers to continually improve the recruitment and onboarding process

● Line manage the Programme Officer and support them to deliver programme and admin support

● Work with our company secretary to prepare annual accounts

Data management

● Manage GDPR-compliant data collection and storage, with accurate and up-to-date data to report on key targets

St Peter’s Charity is a small Charity founded in 1861. Once an order of Anglican religious sisters running hospitals, today the Charity runs St Columba’s House Christian retreat and conference centre and a small grant making trust. We are based in Woking, Surrey.

A part time Finance Manager is needed to cover all the finance and accounting functions within the Charity from payroll to producing monthly management accounts and presenting reports at Trustee meetings. This is an exciting opportunity to join Project Indigo, an LGBTQIA+ youth project run out of Off Centre at Family Action that fosters a safe space and sense of community amongst LGBTQIA+ young people in Hackney.  We support young people aged 16 to 25 through offering them a weekly facilitated social space and 1-to-1 support and advice sessions.  Having run for almost a decade, Project Indigo is well known in Hackney, and works alongside local LGBTQIA+ projects, as well as mental health and youth services.  Project Indigo maintains a youth-led and person-centred approach, with this role being developed in consultation with our members to address the barriers they face in accessing sensitive therapeutic support.

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic counsellor/psychotherapist to offer therapeutic support to members of Project Indigo, our LGBTQIA+ youth group.  The counsellor will make a positive impact and expand Project Indigo’s offer to include 1-to-1 counselling, including sessions up to 24 weeks and therapeutic drop-ins.

Off Centre is a service that provides a range of targeted mental health focused support services to young people aged 16 to 25 who registered with a City and Hackney GP.  These include: individual, counselling and psychotherapy, individual and group art psychotherapy, key-work support, out of hours drop-in service on Thursday evenings, targeted provision for children and young people of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage (ACH), and an Information and Advice provision.

Main Responsibilities:

· You will provide affirmative therapeutic support to our LGBTQIA+ young people who identify under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella or are exploring their sexual orientation or gender identity; including 1-to-1 therapeutic support, sessions up to 24 weeks and therapeutic drop-ins.

· You will enrich Project Indigo’s holistic offer by providing a safe, confidential and affirmative therapeutic space for our members; supporting young people with a range of difficult life and/or mental health issues, which may include bereavement, domestic violence, relationship difficulties, sexual abuse and trauma.

· You will maintain an in-depth knowledge of issues facing young LGBTQIA+ people, in particular trans and gender diverse people, and will have clinical experience working with this group.

· You will maintain an understanding of LGBTQIA+ identities, as well as intersectionality and the multiple oppressions faced by our diverse group members, in particular racialised, neurodivergent and/or trans and non-binary people.

· You will address the diverse needs of our young people by maintaining an intersectional and person-centred approach.

· You are BACP /UKCP (or equivalent) registered with proven experience of working affirmatively with LGBTQIA+ young people in a clinical setting and/or evidence of in-depth knowledge of how to support LGBTQIA+ young people, in particular trans and gender diverse young people.

CDS UK (Clinic for Dissociative Studies) is a small psychotherapy clinic, offering assessment and long-term specialist outpatient treatment to people with dissociative disorders. CDS UK is a charity and an approved supplier for the NHS and is subcontracted by NHS CCGs nationally on a per-patient basis, where local mental health services are unable to provide appropriate treatment.

The Role:

This role will support the Head of Finance in all aspects of accounting and financial management responsibilities including bookkeeping, processing and approving supplier invoices, issuing monthly sales invoices, reconciling bank accounts, supporting preparation of managements accounts, budget and year end accounts. The Person:

The Role

The British Museum is seeking a Membership Services Assistant to join the Advancement department. The main purpose of this role is to deliver excellent customer care to Members and provide administrative support for the day-to-day running of the Membership Office.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Accurately process all new Membership applications, renewals, gift aid declarations, payments (including direct debit), event ticket applications, postal applications and donations to agreed procedures and service level standards.
• Deal with all general enquiries and correspondence, on the telephone, in writing or by email to agreed standards and procedures, escalating issues as necessary.
• Ensure data integrity is maintained, accurate data recorded and data processing protocols are adhered to at all times. Handle other relevant data processing and administration as required.
• Support the administration and organisation of Members' events as necessary and where necessary attend events outside of general working hours (TOIL will be given).
• Support the Membership Services Manager: Member Relations and Membership Services Coordinator: Member Relations as necessary in other tasks and duties related to customer care of Members.

About you:

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent; English and Maths essential
• Experience of dealing with the public and diffusing difficult situations
• Excellent telephone manner and strong written correspondence skills
• Evidence of excellent customer service skills with experience in direct customer service, e.g. retail, reception, public affairs
• Experience of using CRM Databases or similar software and capable user of Microsoft packages
• Accuracy in data entry and excellent attention to detail
• Proven organisational and communication skills
• Ability to evaluate and improve repetitive tasks and procedures
• Enjoys working with people, as well as in a busy office environment while taking responsibility for a variety of tasks

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Safeguarding professional, with a strong interest in protecting adults at risk and children from harm, within the wider Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Community?

Based within our Helpline Services team, you’ll have responsibility for:

• Responding to concerns reported by staff and volunteers
• Leading the coordination of responding to safeguarding concerns
• Dealing with safeguarding issues (as they arise) and liaising with statutory services as needed
• Giving advice and support to colleagues and our volunteers in relation to safeguarding and disclosure checking
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the society
• Liaising with external safeguarding agencies
• Embedding organisational safeguarding policies, procedures and practices across the society

You’ll have experience of working in a safeguarding customer-facing environment within the Charity or Public Service sectors. You’ll have proficient administrative and IT skills with the ability to work accurately, consistently and independently. You’ll ideally have had experience in supporting vulnerable people in person, over the phone and or online.

An understanding of safeguarding within the Charity and Public Service sectors is essential.

A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check without barring list check will need to be obtained to undertake this role.
