About the role
Compassion UK is poised at a significant moment, and we need to achieve ambitious and urgent targets of growth in the number of children released from poverty. We need to develop more and deeper, mutually beneficial, relationships with multi-denominational UK Church leaders, significant event leaders and philanthropists. This will enable us to grow revenue which will increase the impact of Compassion’s child development programmes in the years to come.
As a Strategic Partnerships Manager, you’ll work within the Church Partnerships Team and play a key role to build on existing significant relationships. In addition, develop new larger Key Church Partner Relationships and be actively involved with our strategy to selected Church denominations, networks and events. You’ll be required to speak extensively within church and event settings with a call to action, asking people to consider supporting the work of Compassion. To maximise the opportunities from these partnerships and to achieve sponsorship objectives. Ideally, the successful candidate would be based in London (within the M25).

The successful candidate will be:

- Weekend Availability – You’re flexible and willing to attend church services or events on weekends (up to 24 activities annually) as part of growing and sustaining partnerships.
- Self-Starter – You work well independently, managing your time and workload effectively while working remotely.
- Strong Administrative Skills – You’re proficient in English, both written and verbal, with solid numerical skills. You’re familiar with essential office tools like Microsoft Office.
Additional Skills That Would Be Beneficial:
- Familiarity with CRM systems or similar platforms.
- Experience in managing or supporting volunteers.
Key Requirements:
- Willingness to Travel – Regular travel across the UK is required, with some overseas trips as agreed upon with the Head of Church Partnerships.

Lead the review and development of HR policies and processes to ensure that they embody People’s Economy’s values, and support effective working and staff wellbeing, drawing in external expertise as necessary.

Lead the development and implementation of recruitment processes for staff vacancies, ensuring compliance with People’s Economy’s recruitment policy and employment law.

Lead the implementation of formal HR processes e.g. disciplinary processes, contract variations, and act as the key point of contact with People’s Economy’s external HR advisers.

Finance

Lead People’s Economy’s financial management and control, including:

Manage People’s Economy’s book-keeping and payroll providers to ensure that high quality records of income and expenditure are maintained and the smooth operation of supplier payments, invoicing, payroll and pensions contributions.

Oversee the timely production of regular financial reporting including management accounts, cash forecasting and quarterly reporting to the Board. Scrutinise regular finance reports and work to resolve any issues identified.

Liaise with People’s Economy’s accountant and manage the annual process of independent examination and producing year-end reports and accounts.

Lead on financial planning, including the preparation of an annual organisational budget and lead on updating budget information throughout the year.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the team in this part-time, remote working role.

The Role

About the Organisation

Overview
The Operations and Systems Manager is a key role in the Operations Team and will focus on ensuring that our staff, all home-working and many based internationally, can engage positively with Global Dialogue’s operational systems and processes. The scope of the role covers IT and digital tools, digital security, data management, HR, insurance and travel, as well as the organisation’s equipment, and health and safety protocols.
Job Description
- Responsible for the maintenance and development of systems and processes that support Global Dialogue’s operations across a range of functions.
- Provide operational support to programme staff across the organisation as needs arise.
- Collaborate with Operations Team colleagues to improve cross-functional ways of working and play an active role in the development of projects that enhance Global Dialogue’s ‘offer’ to hosted programmes.
IT, Digital Security and Data Management
- Oversee Global Dialogue’s IT provision, managing the relationship with and acting as the main point of contact for our external IT support, as well as fielding programme requests and managing costs.
- Maintain an overview of Global Dialogue’s user accounts across SharePoint and other digital tools, ensuring pricing, licencing and permissions are effectively managed across all platforms.
- Maintain and develop Global Dialogue’s practice and policies in relation to GDPR, ensuring that they are applied across the organisation, and take ownership of the organisation’s SharePoint structure.
- Support the development of Global Dialogue’s digital security offer to hosted programmes, so that the organisation has the tools and infrastructure to respond effectively to associated risks/threats.

Key responsibilities
Marketing

8. Working with the Marketing Manager and Policy and Communications Manager to liaise with external networks – national, third sector and key regional press contacts, other communications managers – to increase the reach of SIB’s work and to disseminate it widely.

The Karen Hilltribes Trust (KHT) is a UK registered Charity that has worked in Northern Thailand for the past three decades. Our mission is to partner with Karen communities to improve their health, livelihoods, and access to education. Main Purpose of The Position
The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the Thai-Karen team and Director of KHT to secure funding to support the successful operation of the charity and implement projects in KHT’s three key programme areas: Community Health; Sustainable Livelihoods; and Access to Education. The role will be primarily desk based but with opportunities to travel to the field. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for:
• Developing and implementing KHT’s fundraising strategy;
• Applying for grants from foundations, corporations, and individuals;
• Implement Prospect Research on existing and new potential donors (major gifts, corporates, trusts and foundations, individual donors) and creating solicitation plans, informing the Director on updates and activities implementation;
• Implementing KHT’s volunteer strategy, ensuring it provides funding to KHT’s projects;
• Ensuring our donors are engaged with high quality materials.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Develop and maintain a fundraising strategy with the Director, paying particular attention to increasing unrestricted funding opportunities.
2. Help develop and implement a CSR strategy to better engage corporations.
3. Manage grant applications for our projects to existing and new funders, who may be foundations, corporations, or individual donors.
4. Implement Prospect Research on existing and new potential donors (major gifts, corporates, trusts and foundations, individual donors) and creating solicitation plans, informing the Director on updates and activities implementation;
5. Check and constantly update Donorfy database, in coordination with KHT Director and KHT Finance Administrator;
6. Recruit volunteers to join our projects in Thailand, organically and potentially through partnerships.
7. Keep relationship with KHT Board of Trustees, in order to keep them informed on any useful material and initiatives they may help KHT with.
8. Implement community fundraising activities and organise talks and fundraising events, with the support and help of KHT Trustees and volunteers.
9. Ensure that the organisation communicates regularly with its supporters, creating bespoke messages to increase engagement and donations and supporting social media content.
10. Ensure that the organisation complies with fundraising regulations set by the Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator, and other relevant bodies.
11. Visit our team in Northern Thailand on an occasional basis (likely once a year) to better understand our work on the ground and support fundraising initiatives.

Person Specification
You’ll likely have:
• Several years of experience in a relevant role fundraising for registered charities.
• Demonstrable success in securing funding through grant applications and by engaging donors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-level written communications in English and adapt writing style for an array of different audiences.
• Knowledge of Charity Commission/Fundraising Regulator regulations pertaining to fundraising.

The Contactless giving Fundraising Team sits within the wider F2F Fundraising and Individual Giving Team
This important role entails working with the Trusts regional teams as a Team Leader within the wider Face to Face (F2F) fundraising team In this particular instance this role will have a focus on championing our Contactless Giving Workstreams across the regions, with the support of their face to face fundraising colleagues.
They are responsible for delivery of our contactless giving programme and ensuring that they are able to setup a maintain a varied programme of workstreams by sourcing and providing key technology and tools to all of the Trusts regions. You will help drive delivery of the agreed Team and individual targets and KPI’s for the region(s) with a particular focus on Contactless Giving.
This role will work across the regions as a dedicated national support and will be required at times to provide hands on coaching, training and support regionally to drive ongoing engagement and enthusiasm for the programme. They will also support the Regional Face to Face Fundraising Managers to identify and business case potential future opportunities when required.
You will play a significant role in supporting the day to day management of our contactless giving income stream by supporting our F2F Fundraisers, regional colleagues and volunteers, ensuring our Values & Behaviours and performance excellence standards are met on a consistent basis.
Location & coverage
You will be working remotely and should expect to spend more than 50% of your week out on location meeting with your fundraising team across the region.
There is an expectation of working some weekend days at our key regional events, spread over the year and being a part of the weekend Contactless Giving management rota, which denotes working at least one weekend per month.
