This role sits within the Community Education and Training team, working to support our learners to access, complete and progress through our wide range of adult learning provision. The main focus will be on providing additional support for learners who need wrap-around support relating to a range of additional personal and educational needs. About the Role
This role is an exciting opportunity to work for Mind BLMK as part of the Fundraising & Engagement Team.
The successful applicant will carry out general admin duties in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures, and processes. This is a busy role and will require excellent stewardship and donor care skills as well as meticulous organisation and innovative thinking. As an Ambassador for Mind BLMK, you will need to have a passion for mental health and an ability to operate at all levels.
Key Duties
- Carry out general admin duties in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures, and processes (support meeting and greeting; post; email and telephone enquiries; finance, room bookings and meetings for fundraising and engagement / training departments; ordering and monitoring resources for fundraising and training.
- Deal with a wide variety of calls and enquiries from the general public, corporate organisations, operational staff, and managers, responding and taking action as appropriate (taking messages; relaying information accurately and on time; offer appropriate information regarding fundraising / communications and training.
- Responsible for stock checking and supplies and resources and open communication with internal and external parties.
- Ensure fundraising and marketing materials are stocked, and marketing materials are up to date.
- Monitor and maintain communications, training and fundraising email boxes.
- Liaise with internal / external parties regarding training duties as necessary and as directed by the Income Generation Manager.
- Write and send out outgoing thankyou letters to income streams.
- Help maintain an up to date and accurate supporter database and finance log.
- Provide general support to the Fundraising and Engagement Team.
- Provide general support to other Departments within the organisation.

Democracy Classroom pools the collective support of the sector through the Democracy Classroom Platform, where teachers and youth workers can access the collective support of the membership.
Following the recent General Election, the network has experienced growth and is now preparing to support upcoming elections, votes at 16 and new developments such as changes to democratic education and the curriculum review. The network is non-partisan and works across all 4 nations in the UK.
The aims of the network include:
Increasing the number of young people engaging with democracy and elections.
Increasing the number of teachers and youth workers delivering democratic education, and strengthening their capacity to deliver impactful democratic engagement and voter registration activities in schools, colleges and youth settings across the UK.
Improving coordination between organisations engaging young people across the youth, education and democracy sectors, through growing the Democracy Classroom network.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The post holder will work with the Director and the Programme Manager of Democracy Classroom to support the growth of the Democracy Classroom network by managing the website / platform. They will:
- Liaise with partners to compile learning resources and training opportunities to share on the platform.
- Add resources, training opportunities and other relevant information to the platform as required.
- Ensure the platform is kept up to date and accessible.
- Support Democracy Classroom communication channels - producing Democracy Classroom newsletters and creating engaging social media content to highlight the work of partners, their learning resources and training opportunities, on the platform.
The post holder will also:
- Coordinate training for teachers and youth workers to deliver election education materials.
- Manage the Democracy Classroom database.
- Assist with monitoring and evaluation.

The project support officer will support the brilliant work of our Wilder Landscapes team, a small but very active team within Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s conservation department. I am happy to be supporting a leading London university in their search for a temporary HR Services Payroll Advisor. The post holder will provide guidance, advice, and information to employees and managers on complex pay and overpayment queries.
This post will run from early November to early May 2025 in the first instance. You will be required on site in central London roughly 60% of the week, and the remainder remote.
In this role you will be required to carry out manual payroll checks and assist with overpayment cases and debt collection activities. The ideal candidate will have:
- A comprehensive knowledge of PAYE and Payroll Procedures including processing statutory payments and manual calculations.

About the Team:
You will report to the Data Analytics Manager and will line manage a small team of selection analysts. Our team is dynamic and collaborative, consisting of passionate professionals dedicated to leveraging data for impactful decision-making and performance improvement.
Under the guidance of the Data Analytics Manager, you will work closely with the data analytics team and the Stewardship Data Engineering team to develop our data culture and capabilities. Together, we drive organizational performance and impact, supporting other teams in delivering on our mission.

The Data and Analytics Lead will elevate our data maturity, support organizational growth, and meet the growing needs of people with mental health problems.

We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to join us at Essex Wildlife Trust to be the senior operational lead for our Nature Discovery Centres across Essex.
Our aim is to widen access to nature, provide great wildlife experiences, deepen nature connection, and ultimately encourage the people of Essex to take individual and collective action for wildlife.
Our Nature Discovery Centres are important gateways to nature, allowing us to engage with millions of visitors every year. We are also the largest county-based provider of outdoor education in the UK, providing learning opportunities for all stages of life. We therefore have a unique opportunity to engage with the people of Essex, to communicate the value of the Trust’s work, and to clearly articulate why we need their involvement in delivering meaningful change to protect nature and wildlife.
The Head of Nature Discovery Centres is responsible for the operation of the Trust’s 11 Nature Discovery Centres at reserves across Essex. The objectives of the Nature Discovery Centres are to engage and inspire communities to protect our wildlife and wild places, and to generate income for Trust, both through their Retail and Food and Beverage offer and by signing up new Members and encouraging donations.
With a track record in growing businesses in the hospitality and/or retail sector, a focus on customer service and an entrepreneurial attitude, you will work closely with the Commercial Director, Cluster Managers, Central Operations Manager and all Nature Discovery Centres staff to drive the successful operations of the Nature Discovery Centres. The role requires close working with the Engagement directorate for Education, Marketing and Communications input, the Fundraising function for engagement with customers for membership recruitment, and with People and Culture to drive a high performing, high impact combined workforce of staff and volunteers. A close relationship with the Conservation teams at the Nature Discovery Centres will also be essential.
As a leader, you will have the capabilities to build relationships across the organisation, be a skilled communicator, expert influencer and have strong financial/analytical skills. Your role spans both strategic planning, project and operational delivery and is a key member of the Trust’s Operational Leadership Team, working with other Heads of department/function.
This is a challenging and varied role, with changing priorities and multiple workstreams at any point in time.
The role is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The starting salary is £43,575 per annum.
