CleanupUK provides a spark in local communities that need some help and encouragement to tackle the challenge of litter where they are. We set up Cleanup Hubs in the most littered areas and support community litter-picking groups to start, grow, or sustain their activities by providing equipment, information and advice. This new role will be a key member of our income generation team, enabling us to spread our work all over England. You will be helping us to improve people’s lives and give communities a real boost!

Practical details

Position - Trust and Foundation Fundraising Lead

Responsible to - Chief Executive

Location - Home based with occasional travel as the role requires

Hours - 37½ hours per week (full time) – full time or part time role available

Salary - £42,000–£45,000 per annum full time

Responsibilities 

• You will be implementing the existing workplan for 2025, complemented with your own input into maximising CleanupUK’s revenue from trusts, foundations and The Lottery
• You will be managing the Local/Regional Trust and Foundation Fundraiser to help them maximise their revenue
• In conjunction with the Chief Executive, you will be nurturing the key funder relationships that CleanupUK already has
• You will be developing strong and close relationships with new key trust and foundation funders
• You will be working closely with our Corporate Partnerships and Operations teams
• You will be contributing to CleanupUK’s future strategy

• A passion for dealing with litter and the damage that it causes to communities and also for the wider environment and its protection
• ​Solid, successful experience of trust, foundation, lottery, statutory and major donor fundraising 
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with funders of all types

This role is flexible and will be homebased and/or office based or a mixture of both, depending on your location. Goal of this role:

SIM successfully utilises Oracle NetSuite finance software throughout 50+ SIM entities.

• Operate as the Finance (functional) owner of SIM’s use and development of Oracle NetSuite finance software.
• Collaborate with other non-Finance users of NetSuite to ensure full integration.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders of IT systems used within SIM to ensure best integrated solutions. 
• Lead the implementation of NetSuite financials to the SIM entities that are yet to implement.

The role of our Events Coordinator is to drive forward Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s fundraising efforts through the coordination, delivery and review of our portfolio of income generating events throughout the year, and providing events expertise and support to colleagues across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinate, plan and deliver a portfolio of events:
Concurrently project manage all aspects of specific events (charity-owned, third-party and challenge events), ensuring all tasks are assigned and completed as per each event’s project plan.
Produce event budgets and ensure events are run within budgeted expenditure and achieving budgeted income, negotiating with suppliers for the most cost-effective prices where appropriate.
To evaluate event performance against agreed objectives and ensure these insights and learnings inform future decision making and planning.
Propose new test events for the charity to diversify its portfolio, researching and building the business cases.
Maximise events income and develop new relationships with potential partners:
Monitor and manage the Events Fundraising budget for your responsible events and forecast as necessary, accounting for variances and taking a proactive approach where required.
Produce event evaluation reports at the end of each event to capture learnings and to support with planning for the next event.
Ensure future opportunities for the charity are followed-up post-event and are recorded as a soft-benefit in any event evaluation reports.
Ensure accurate recordkeeping of supporters, projects and events, using the Fundraising database.
Deliver high quality, donor-centric supporter care and stewardship, ensuring a quality experience for supporters at all events that reflect the values and identity of the YAA, and builds long-term relationships with our supporters.

Create and implement a marketing, communications and advertising plan:
Work alongside the marketing team to devise a multi-channel marketing plan for events and feed into the Fundraising team’s general marketing and communications planner.
Liaise with the Marketing and Communications department and external agencies to produce marketing material to support the promotion of events and post-event PR.
Update online event listings and ensure the YAA website event page is up-to-date.

Develop excellent relationships and represent YAA at the highest levels:
Maintain excellent, professional relationships with both new and existing supporters and suppliers.
Work with colleagues and volunteers across to raise the profile of and recruit event participants and attendees, and to pass on leads to relevant teams.
Keep abreast of new developments and trends in the fundraising events arena.

Team management:
Work closely with fundraising, marketing, admin and finance colleagues.
Recruit, co-ordinate, engage and motivate volunteers to support planning and delivery of events.

Budgetary responsibility:
Recommend an annual Events Fundraising budget for inclusion in YAA’s annual budget, with detailed income/expenditure breakdown, phasing, target ROI, rationale and key performance indicators.
To manage and monitor the budget events fundraising, ensuring income targets are met, costs are in line with the agreed budget.
Submit monthly written performance reports to the Directors of Fundraising.

Personal development:

Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:

Essential:
Experience in event coordination, preferably in the charity sector, and be able to demonstrate a strong track record in fundraising and achieving financial targets.

Well-developed interpersonal skills, particularly around negotiation, persuasion, motivational and collaborative attributes.
Full UK driving licence with access to own car.

Growing our income generation

We are currently recruiting for two roles in our fundraising team. Our other role is Communications and Fundraising Officer and is focused on supporter care. Both of these roles are part time. We have written them separately as we believe that typically these are two different skill sets within the fundraising space.

However, if you believe that you have strength in both areas, we'd love to hear from you. We are very open to discussing combining the roles into one full time role. A combined role would involve hybrid working including travel to our London and Brighton sites and candidates would need to be comfortable in having a broad generalist role. Purpose of the role

The successful Training Manager will head our “Rise for Change” training programme and have the exciting opportunity to continue to grow the programme’s success to date, expanding our offerings and reach to be fully integrated across the charities service provisions.

Rise for Change is training that is uniquely created by subject matter experts and directly addresses the need for intersectional and trauma informed domestic abuse training for professionals in all sectors. Our aim is to empower participants, no matter their professional role, to be able to respond safely and appropriately to domestic abuse both within the workplace and in the wider scope of their lives. You will be leading a linked programme of activity with our global Bright Sky programme which forms part of our wider Digital Programmes team.  Lead the development, quality and delivery of Hope After Harm’s training programme in line with the charity’s values, strategic direction, placing victim-survivors and those with lived experienced at the heart of what you do.

 Deliver training and consultancy to professionals, organisations and businesses from our set package of training, or by curating and delivering bespoke packages to meet their needs.

 Upkeep current training packages, whilst scoping and developing new packages in line with sector need and organisational strategy.

 Ensure growth and sustainability of the programme through income generation, attracting new clients and driving repeat custom, directly managing client relationships.

 Ensure the longevity of established relationships with key partners and stakeholders through regular meetings, problem-solving and support.

Person Specification

Essential

 A thorough understanding of domestic abuse and gender-based violence through a trauma informed and intersectional lens, including the impact and mitigation of vicarious trauma.

 Be an experienced, highly skilled trainer with the ability to engage people through remote and in-person delivery.

 Experience in managing training programmes, and with an absolute commitment to quality and client satisfaction

 Ability to recruit, train and oversee a pool of sessional trainers.

 Excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.

 Motivate individuals and agencies to move through courses of action and decision-making processes

 Knowledge and experience of using CRM’s, such as Hubspot, to track client engagement.

 Track record of income generation - creating growth strategies for training programmes, in particular using social media and online sales platforms

This is an exciting new role to both support the coordination of existing ‘leaders in advocacy network’ and to coordinate and lead the project developing a membership body for the group to transition to. The postholder will work with the Advocacy Programme Lead, members of the leader’s network and other key stakeholders to understand what is most needed from a membership/professional body for advocacy providers, develop and launch that offer.

Our nationally recognised advocacy programme seeks to support best practice in the commissioning and delivery of independent advocacy, so that people who draw on advocacy get the support they want and need, in the way they want and need it, when they want and need it.

The role is a 12 month fixed-term contact and there will be a review at the end of 12 months to review the feasibility of continuation of the contract.

Project Coordination

• Update and deliver project plan putting in place effective project management systems and processes
• Report on progress, risk and issues and work with the Advocacy Programme Lead to address
• Work with Advocacy programme Lead to coordinate and manage the project as a whole, working with network members and other stakeholders to develop and deliver against project plan

THINK EQUAL is a global education initiative with a mission to ensure that Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) becomes a mandatory subject for all children in early years settings globally. SEL is the process through which knowledge, attitudes, values and skills such as emotional intelligence, empathy, self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making are developed.

To support governments and educators to achieve this mission, THINK EQUAL has developed a global SEL Programme for 3-6 years-olds. The Programme is constructed around teacher training, and the provision of narrative children’s books, lesson plans and teaching resources, which provide the concrete tools educators need to teach SEL in a low-cost and adaptable format.

The THINK EQUAL Programme has a global presence across six continents (in 30 countries) and has undergone three randomised control trials in contexts as varied as Colombia, Botswana and Australia. There is a growing demand from other countries for the THINK EQUAL Programme and the organisation is now strengthening its team to be able to respond to this demand.

Purpose of the Role

To manage the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Think Equal programmes in UK and Europe. This role has a special focus on representing Think Equal and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, regional and national government ministries (education and health primarily), and other stakeholders, and managing a region or country team as needed. It also involves strategic planning, reporting on, budgeting and costing of programme implementation, guiding, reviewing, approving and ensuring high quality implementation including: 

• Supporting business development efforts, translations (only if needed), and evaluations. 

• Leading on partnership and government relationships, training plans and the monitoring of programme implementation. The role is one of primary oversight and responsibility for the embedding of Think Equal within the early years education system in the UK and various European countries, and the sustainability of the programme, insofar as possible.

Responsibilities

Line Management 

• Provide line management (guidance, strategy, supervision, and support as needed) to the relevant Regional and Country managers, Programme Officers and coordinators. 

• Identify the needs for additional staff to support the implementation on the ground and participate in the corresponding recruitment processes.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members.

Partnerships Management

• Co-lead and support the business development strategy for Europe - with a special emphasis on England - in close coordination with the CEO and the Business Development team.

• Proactively approach, present to and enrol national and local authorities for the implementation of the Think Equal programme.

Programme Development and Implementation

• In line with the organizational strategy, lead and supervise the development of project proposals and programme implementation plans and ensure their correct and effective implementation in cooperation with the country’s teams.

• Ensure the budgeting of, costing, spending and reporting on programmes in alignment with the Think Equal finance policy and donor requirements. 

• Provide regular status updates on the progress of the programme’s rollout in the UK and Europe.

Monitoring and Evaluation

• Support the development and strengthening of Monitoring Evaluation & Learning (MEL) tools and their use by the key stakeholders in order to ensure the sustainability of Think Equal.

• Work collaboratively with the Think Equal MEL manager.

• Lead and supervise monitoring actions that provide useful information to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Think Equal concluded, pipeline and active projects.

The Rewilding Network is now approaching its 4 year anniversary, and since its launch has reached a membership of over 1,000 members at various scales. We are also implementing our new 2025-2030 strategy which will work towards growing the movement of rewilding through providing additional support to practitioners rewilding on land and at sea. You will help us to support these practitioners through knowledge exchange and creating a vibrant community. Job purpose: 

To assist with the management and development of our support for rewilding practitioners including through the Rewilding Network, our grant funding provision and the facilitation of events and gatherings.

Your responsibilities will include: 

In collaboration with our Rewilding Officer and Rewilding Manager, you will support the growth of the rewilding movement, including the Network. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the day-to-day running of the Rewilding Network, including managing emails and queries 

• Supporting engagement with practitioners through the Rewilding Network community forum, network events, etc. 

• Organising webinars and online events, including assisting with calendars and managing attendees

• Supporting engagement with wider practitioners outside of the Rewilding Network

Terms and conditions and staff benefits
