Purpose of Post
The Membership and Events Lead will play a pivotal role in our membership programme and the events calendar that supports our membership offering. Working alongside the Membership and Events Manager the post holder will deliver the membership engagement strategy, help to recruit and retain new members and work on AAUK events.
Key events include the Annual Conference and Awards of Excellence, All Party Parliamentary Group Air Ambulance Reception and attendance at sector specific exhibitions. Key Responsibilities
Events
· In collaboration with the Membership and Events Manager and the wider team, work towards the successful delivery of a calendar of events, taking ownership and accountability of any assigned events.
· Help to develop the sponsorship pipeline for key events in collaboration with other key members of the Income Generation team to ensure all opportunities for sponsorship are maximised.
· Conduct research and planning for UK events, covering areas such as venues, suppliers, routes and risk assessments.
· Assist with the management of finances for assigned events, negotiating best rates with suppliers, placing orders and processing invoices.
· Lead on selected events and work effectively with colleagues on project groups to deliver successful events. Prepare event briefs and support with marketing materials.
· Project management of other AAUK events and attendance at other relevant stakeholder events.
· Acting as a point of contact for when required to attend stakeholder events.
Membership
· Serve as the primary point of contact for active members and prospects, building and nurturing long-lasting relationships.
· Create and manage a membership pipeline. Steward, and pitch to prospective new members from this pipeline.

· To assist in the running of AAUK knowledge sharing and networking forums.
Members Hub
· Produce and manage engaging content for members on the AAUK Membership Hub.

About the role
This is the campaign you will be working on
One of the key issues we work on is accountability for sexual violence against children in institutions in Latin America, which aims to challenge impunity and improve access to justice for victims and survivors. Combating sexual violence against children globally has been a core part of CRIN’s work for more than a decade, and from this experience we see common challenges across the most systemic and entrenched forms of institutional abuse and exploitation: secrecy, cover-ups, abuse of power, stigma, shame, and impunity.
To successfully challenge this status quo, we have looked at the experiences of countries like Ireland and Australia, which were some of the first countries where survivors mobilised to demand and secure legal reforms to improve access to justice and establish national inquiries into child sexual abuse which prompted other policy reforms. In an effort to support and strengthen similar survivor-led activism elsewhere in the world, since 2019 CRIN has worked alongside grassroots organisations in Latin America led by adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Our focus has been to support their national campaigning that challenges impunity for abuse committed in the region’s Catholic Church, but we have since expanded the scope of our work to cover institutional settings more broadly.
CRIN’s added value in the campaign includes providing much-needed financial support and capacity building, research support, international and legal advocacy and helping to expand partnerships. By working with survivor-led networks, we aim to encourage their development across the region so that governments can no longer ignore their demands for truth, justice, reforms, and reparations.
This is who we are looking for…
We are looking for someone to coordinate the end-to-end delivery of the campaign. The focus of the role is on project and budget management, strategy planning and implementation, and partnership building. But given the generalist nature of campaigning, you may at times conduct advocacy support, media outreach, research and analysis, and event coordination.
You would work alongside the Legal Advocacy and Campaign Coordinator, as well as part of the core project team comprising the Co-Directors and the Legal and Policy Coordinator.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Leading the delivery of CRIN’s campaign supporting grassroots organisations in Latin America to end impunity for child sexual abuse in institutional settings.
● Building and maintaining trust-based partnerships with grassroots survivor-led networks in Latin America, ensuring engagement is anti-colonial, trauma-informed and participatory.
● Building partnerships with key allies, such as civil society groups, journalists, academics, legal experts, consultants and funders.
● Managing the campaign budget and related administrative tasks, including partnership contracts and sub-granting.
● Providing advocacy, research, and administrative support to partners, as needed.
● Organising capacity-building events to support partners’ organisational development.
● Providing occasional research and writing support to colleagues in the production of advocacy materials, including submissions to human rights bodies and research reports.
● Managing project communications, including updating the campaign webpage, leading on media outreach, coordinating the production of research reports and translating all project materials.
● Working with CRIN’s communications staff to create content for the website, social media, and newsletter.
● Managing the campaign’s Monitoring and Evaluation, recording, and reporting actions, deliverables, and learnings, including coordinating annual progress reports to our funder.
● Participating in regular project meetings to discuss developments, address any issues and plan the next stages of the work.
● Participating in organisation-wide activities such as regular team meetings and collective decision-making.
We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
● Professional experience or interest in issues related to access to justice for survivors of childhood sexual violence.
● Professional experience or interest in working with grassroots organisations and/or survivor-led organisations.
● Native-level fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English.
● Experience in project and budget management.
● Ability to cultivate partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including grassroots organisations, activists with lived experience, civil society organisations, international NGOs, journalists, and lawmakers.
● Knowledge of or interest in participatory approaches to partnerships and decision-making, as well as an understanding of how oppression can manifest in the issues we work on (and how we work as an international NGO) and a keen interest in how we can implement an anti-oppression approach.
● Motivated, with strong organisational skills and ability to manage one’s own work (including while remote-working).
● Ability to think strategically and critically.
● Ability to thrive in a small but diverse international team, with a strong commitment to anti-discrimination, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

SIM successfully utilises Oracle NetSuite finance software throughout 50+ SIM entities.
- Operate as the Finance (functional) owner of SIM’s use and development of Oracle NetSuite finance software.
- Collaborate with other non-Finance users of NetSuite to ensure full integration.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders of IT systems used within SIM to ensure best integrated solutions.
- Lead the implementation of NetSuite financials to the SIM entities that are yet to implement.
- Provide the main accounting input to the implementation and development team.
- Become fluent in SIM finance systems and processes.
- Manage support to users of the NetSuite system, in conjunction with others in the Finance and IT teams.
- Recommend and implement changes to SIM global finance processes to enable best practice use of software tools.
- Ensure any changes in SIM practices and processes after implementation of software, are fully documented.
- Advise Global Director of Finance of any significant issues arising with software, with possible action plans.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:

- Professional Accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, CA etc.) or similar level of expertise through experience
- Technically strong in accounting and comfortable with handling complex scenarios

- Oral and written fluency in English and good communication skills

About the role:
We’re looking for a thoughtful and proactive individual to join our small but passionate team to help support our vision of a world where no animal suffers for science. You could help us move forward by supporting our individual giving fundraising activities including managing our new London Marathon places for 2026-2029.
This role will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications, Digital Engagement Manager, and wider Team to support on fundraising activities in particular our regular giving programme, Facebook fundraising and our new London Marathon bond places.
The role will work to embed regular giving, challenge, and community fundraising, as well as communicate with our donors via our twice-yearly mailing. You’ll also be establishing our challenge fundraising starting with the recruitment and support of London Marathon runners. There’s an opportunity to support on Corporate, Trust, Legacy, and Major Giving fundraising if of interest to the successful candidate and their development goals.
We currently have a modest base of current donors who collectively donate around £15,000 annually across several channels including online, social media, and cheques. We were also successful in the recent London Marathon bond application and have guaranteed places for the coming 4 years.
We’re a small, dynamic team and all staff members are required to take on some core administrative tasks needed to keep our flat structure organisation running. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. You will work Monday – Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required.

The role of our Events Coordinator is to drive forward Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s fundraising efforts through the coordination, delivery and review of our portfolio of income generating events throughout the year, and providing events expertise and support to colleagues across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinate, plan and deliver a portfolio of events:
Concurrently project manage all aspects of specific events (charity-owned, third-party and challenge events), ensuring all tasks are assigned and completed as per each event’s project plan.
Produce event budgets and ensure events are run within budgeted expenditure and achieving budgeted income, negotiating with suppliers for the most cost-effective prices where appropriate.
To evaluate event performance against agreed objectives and ensure these insights and learnings inform future decision making and planning.
Propose new test events for the charity to diversify its portfolio, researching and building the business cases.
Maximise events income and develop new relationships with potential partners:
Monitor and manage the Events Fundraising budget for your responsible events and forecast as necessary, accounting for variances and taking a proactive approach where required.
Produce event evaluation reports at the end of each event to capture learnings and to support with planning for the next event.
Ensure future opportunities for the charity are followed-up post-event and are recorded as a soft-benefit in any event evaluation reports.
Ensure accurate recordkeeping of supporters, projects and events, using the Fundraising database.
Deliver high quality, donor-centric supporter care and stewardship, ensuring a quality experience for supporters at all events that reflect the values and identity of the YAA, and builds long-term relationships with our supporters.
Create and implement a marketing, communications and advertising plan:
Work alongside the marketing team to devise a multi-channel marketing plan for events and feed into the Fundraising team’s general marketing and communications planner.
Liaise with the Marketing and Communications department and external agencies to produce marketing material to support the promotion of events and post-event PR.
Update online event listings and ensure the YAA website event page is up-to-date.
Develop excellent relationships and represent YAA at the highest levels:
Maintain excellent, professional relationships with both new and existing supporters and suppliers.
Work with colleagues and volunteers across to raise the profile of and recruit event participants and attendees, and to pass on leads to relevant teams.
Keep abreast of new developments and trends in the fundraising events arena.
Team management:
Work closely with fundraising, marketing, admin and finance colleagues.
Recruit, co-ordinate, engage and motivate volunteers to support planning and delivery of events.
Budgetary responsibility:
Recommend an annual Events Fundraising budget for inclusion in YAA’s annual budget, with detailed income/expenditure breakdown, phasing, target ROI, rationale and key performance indicators.
To manage and monitor the budget events fundraising, ensuring income targets are met, costs are in line with the agreed budget.
Submit monthly written performance reports to the Directors of Fundraising.
Personal development:

Growing our income generation
We are currently recruiting for two roles in our fundraising team. Our other role is Communications and Fundraising Officer and is focused on supporter care. Both of these roles are part time. We have written them separately as we believe that typically these are two different skill sets within the fundraising space.
However, if you believe that you have strength in both areas, we'd love to hear from you. We are very open to discussing combining the roles into one full time role. A combined role would involve hybrid working including travel to our London and Brighton sites and candidates would need to be comfortable in having a broad generalist role. Purpose of the role
