St Columba’s House is a Christian retreat and conference centre in Woking with residential and day guests coming for a wide variety of purposes. The Centre is owned by St Peter's Charity. Although we are a Christian charity, our guests come from all faiths and none. This role will co-ordinate and assist with all aspects of marketing at St Columba’s House. We are looking for someone who can promote our own programme of events and promote the House more widely as a venue for group bookings.
Our marketing activities include e-mail newsletters, social media, website, printed material and traditional advertisements. This role requires a broad range of skills: good visual, copywriting, organisational, computer and people skills and a flexible working approach to handle everything from designing promotional materials to keeping the website up to date, from using social media to handling guest data. A good working knowledge of Indesign or Canva, Wordpress, Photoshop, Mailchimp, Meta advertising, Facebook & Instagram is essential to the role. A good knowledge of photo and video editing would be an advantage.

Purpose of Role
The People Advisor role will pay a pivotal role in delivering the People Plan at the Ramblers and creating a truly great place to work.
The role holder will support projects, activities and administration related across the whole employee life cycle at the Ramblers – actively engaging in the attraction, recruitment, development and retention of talent.
The role will also support the delivery of our business outcomes through a data-led approach to people decision-making.
Key responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Financial management
1. Lead the financial management and the development and maintenance of financial controls, systems and procedures
- Lead the preparation for annual budgets and project budgets in liaison with the joint CEOs

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Key Project Coordinator to join a fantastic education charity based in London.
Salary: £27,570
Job Location: 4 days based at a School in Islington and Friday working from home.
The charity’s mission is to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access top universities, through a unique combination of tuition and in-school mentoring.
The Key Project Coordinator manages the day-to-day running of the programme in the school, which has been carefully designed with the intention that all interactions have a positive impact on a student’s chances of getting into a top university.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging with students in school and enrolling them onto the programme
- Matching students with volunteer tutors
- Monitoring student attendance to tutorials and devising innovative solutions to encourage attendance
- Assessing student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
- Uploading information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
- Building and managing relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
- Working with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme
- Chairing and presenting at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.
- Supporting the delivery of tutor training and attend university site visits, approximately 3 times a year including occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings. Paid time off in lieu is provided.
The successful candidate will be able to communicate and influence with impact at all levels, delivering projects and managing administration accurately. You must be skilled in building and maintaining excellent relationships, be resilient and adaptable and have the ability to lead and manage change to embed the programme in schools.

We are looking for an ambitious Corporate Partnerships Manager with energy, drive and aptitude to develop our corporate strategic partnerships portfolio at Essex Wildlife Trust.

With a goal of protecting and connecting 30% of land and sea by 2030 and encouraging one in four Essex residents to take action for wildlife, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will play a key role in making this vision a reality.
In this role, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will focus on establishing and nurturing high-value partnerships with corporate supporters. This involves crafting compelling proposals, pitching and negotiating contracts, and developing strategic partnerships that generate significant income and align with the Trust’s mission.
The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to gain a deep understanding of Trust activities and to identify opportunities for synergy with corporate partners, converting these into valuable and long-lasting collaborations.
The position also includes the responsibility of creating and delivering a comprehensive Corporate Membership Strategy and expanding the Investors in Wildlife programme, all with the aim of increasing corporate engagement and income for the Trust. Managing budgets for income and expenditure, reporting progress through quarterly updates, and utilising the Trust’s CRM system to maintain precise records are essential aspects of the role. The Corporate Partnerships Manager will additionally line-manage the Corporate Communications Officer, guiding and supporting them in furthering corporate relationships.
Essex Wildlife Trust is looking for a results-oriented professional with a strong background in corporate fundraising or business development, as well as a proven record of success in income generation. With excellent relationship-building, problem-solving, and communication skills, the ideal candidate will also bring experience in managing cross-departmental projects, developing persuasive proposals, and managing client relationships effectively.

Criteria
Candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of institutional funding, including current priorities, requirements, and practices of institutional donors. A strong background in grant management and compliance is essential, with proven experience in managing grant-funded projects and producing high-quality narrative and financial reports. Candidates should have excellent budgeting skills, a keen attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Effective communication skills are crucial, particularly the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Familiarity with databases, Microsoft Office, and funder portals is also required. Experience in working within an international organisation and providing remote support to colleagues globally is highly desirable.
